Although I often talk about health and safety in my videos, please make sure you do your own research and take the relevant precautions to ensure that you are protecting your health. I am not responsible for anyone using resin and not taking the correct safety precautions. Resin is a chemical and as such should be always treated with respect and the manufacturers safety advice taken.

So useful! Thank you, Steve! You’re such a blessing! From old lady in Wiltshire xx 🎉
Great video. Sorry it’s E6000 not E600.
I really liked your video Steve very nice😀👍
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts it was very cool I liked it I tried to watch them when they first came out but if it takes me longer it's usually cuz I'm working you have a happy healthy safe day
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts well thank you that really makes my day
watching your videos in a mad/random order since I came across your videos a few months ago. They've helped me learn what PPE I should be using and allowed me to work with resin knowing I'm safe. It's given me so much confidence, and a lot of the tips you show here can be transferred to other mediums for jewelry. Thank you for what you do! :)
Your videos are really fun to watch lol
thanks mate, you're a wealth of knowledge. More little hobbies for me. Again thanks.
❤️🌈❤️ I miss heard it as E600 the first time and now have it stuck in my head. Lol. I know it’s E6000 glue just can’t say it.
I love you Steve. Your such a bright light
SWEET - thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us
You make it look so easy!
Thank you so much. You've explained things that I've been overthinking on 🤭I've a jewellery kit and molds but been so apprensive with all the findings that I haven't attempted any. I saw an old 50s film and the actress had the most amazing earrings on which included wire additions. I'm now going to attempt these with a matching pendant. Also you've taught me about how to dome. Items look so much classier. I dived straight into Resin with a large memory pyramid for my hubby. Silly woman lol. I will subscribe and look forward to some fantastic results hopefully 😀
Thank you Steve!
Yes thank u very much very useful I m just starting to use resin and jewellery is on my list God bless u🤲🏼🤲🏼
I have all that stuff I'm new to resin but I have been making jewelry for 4 or 5 years
I appreciate this! Very useful!
You are so funny 😅 love you
You are so awesome and this video is very helpful. 😊
I have e6000 for years on glass and never had it come off. Great stuff. I always rough up the glass and bail to help in binding.
Thank you for giving me ideas.
Thank you! You gave me some great ideas.
Love your work
Lots of great ideas. Thanks
Very educational 😊
Love the reason at the end! Sell your stuff so you can buy more stuff!! 🤣🤣❤ fab tips and ideas 👍
Thank you for making using resin look fun and far from intimidating. Your videos gave me the courage to make some really beautiful things! Thank you!
Great video!
Thank you for sharing Steve
😊Great video
This came at just the right time 👌
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts you do, your videos help a lot
Thank you 😊
Very helpful Thank you
Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰
IT IS VERY GOOd
I would like to see more videos with UV resin . Molds and paint and flowers , things like that.
Awesome info!
Thank you
Very helpful just what i needed 😊
I've been doing jewelry for years, but your tutorial will help those who are starting. I do resin and sometimes I wire wrap it too. So they are more complicated. I still have allot to learn. I plan to keep learning, or it might become stale or boring.
Thank you Steve. I have so many peices of resin and findings and have no idea how to finish them. Well i do now X
Those are lovely pieces and if my list gets any longer I will need to crowd source lol
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts You're welcome Steve oh yes I have some things in my Amazon cart I will have to watch for discount vouchers especially since my crowd is too poor for crowd sourcing lmao.
Yaaay
Awesome! Thank you, I have lots of bits too😉
Interesting 🤔 thanks!
Cool! I’ve seen these things in hobby lobby, but I didn’t know what they were for! Thanks, I really appreciate your teaching.
Wow is that true ALL resin yellows in the sun after time, despite what the companies might advertise ?
An experienced resin artist told me she will only use two brands because they don't yellow. As she works on preserving bridal bouquets etc
TIA 🦉🎨
Thank you for the tips. I'm a beginner trying to find a much info as possible. Love your videos.. so helpful!
Thank you! I've been working with resin about 3 years now. Your videos have helped me so much along the way. I so much love creating. But I really need to figure out how to sell now.😁
Omg I have been so intimated about doing this stuff I have a house full of material I haven’t used. Since I have been watching your videos I’m so much more confident. You are so cool and not intimidating sounding Thank you
I get something out of every single video of yours Steve - always full of useful tis and advice. As you know, Im very much a newbie to resin, but having so much fun with it - thanks to you
I love your art! Where do you sell your pieces and jewelry?
Thank you for sharing this video!!! I learned a new way of making my pendants.
Great video thanks.
My only concern is that you need to be very careful about making earrings as lots of people can be sensitive to some wires
Yes, I am one of those people.
Live surgical steel findings.
Thank you steve! This video has been so helpful!!
Hello, what are the bezels called with the two links please? That you can link together to make a bracelet? Also I have no breathing equipment as yet. What should I use? Many thanks. Great videos! X
Thank you. I love your tutorials very helpful and handy.
Very helpful presentation!
Thanks for the tutorial. I didn’t know what the long straight jewelry pins were for. I like the caps on the necklaces they make them look professional.
Great stuff Steve very professional and helpful thank you 👍
What are the best sizes to use in hooks jump rings do you use a certain seller for the stuff you buy as I’m just starting out and would love to know where the best place to buy from your tutorials are fantastic thank you you make beautiful items xx
Oh, this is so funny, and of course great information. For about 3 or so weeks now, I've been trying to finish off my first few rounds of thingies I'd made... between sanding, screwing in those little eyelet things and making a mess of it all with attempting to doming I haven't yet succeeded. 😄😄. Ordered some more stuff to maybe help me do it better. Thanks for the ideas and making it look so easy!
Great video as usual, there are cheaper versions of "dremel" that are just as good for this sort of thing.
YOU ARE GENIAL
Hello soap😊😊😊
Great video again with lots of useful tips. I do have lots of small moulded pieces that I keep wanting to make into jewellery but I never knew what most of the bits were for. Im going to make them up and try to sell them at local markets/fetes once the world opens up again! Every video you do inspires me to do something. 👍
What would you use to glue a picture on to the back of the clear heart keychain
Really really helpful!! I’ve bought a few bits and started making jewellery, found with left over resin I pop it in the moulds so don’t waste it! Bought the glue and couple of other things you’ve listed ! Thank you 😊
Always put a dab of glue on the screw as well it will guarantee 💯 that you won't loose the piece that it screwed to
Steve, I made round stud earrings but they didn’t turn out nice. I tried sanding and waiting for the epoxy to thicken but nothing works. It just slides right off because they are round. Maybe UV resin?
Can you silver solder the edges of resin? My concern is weather the resin would melt from the heat of the soldering iron. Would that happen?
Fantastic, thank you! I have been wanting to know what all the different findings are called. Btw, the link to the UV torch is broken. Easy enough to find another though. Just thought you might want to know.
Thank you so much. Very helpful indeed and thank you for all the links too. I always worry about jump rings not quite meeting when closed. Do you ever solder them please?
What size jump ring did you use on the clear heart please?
Do you have set rates when you sell your items ie pendants etc or vary?
I loved this video, as usual. I’ve been doing most of these methods already, thanks to you. I think I am at the point of buying the uv resin. Just hate spending more $. It’s all good! Lots of my little pieces never get made into jewelry because my two grandkids (6 and 8) take them home after they visit. 😉
Grandkids are the BEST ♥️
questions for you.... when dooming I always end up with resin on the sides of my bezels on the silver or gold part. how do you remove it? I sand it but then it looks dull and aweful. when I let my resin sit for 30 minutes before dooming it turns into jelly I use amumilite resin. any suggestions?
Heya your videos are always awesome and fun to watch and using resin for a bit now but any tips on fixing a piece that comes out glazed and foggy? I used a mold that was a gift but the piece is very foggy and unclear is there a way to clear it up without sandpaper ?
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts thanks alot ill try with just polishing compound and also that video is mainly about the dremel and sandpaper one day i shall get a dremel haha
Do you sell your bead mold?
How do you get the black long pandant out the bmulds I'm finding it difficult to get the price out the mould
What size are the caps for the tube necklaces in mm?
Steve McDonald Arts and Crafts I have to tell you that I bought caps and they do not fit. I’ve wound up trying to sand down the tops of the pieces to fit them on. Didn’t realize there are not a standard size. 😫
Very helpful, thank you. What's the pricing on these Steve? Would you sell a lot of jewellery at craft fairs? Warmest wishes to you
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts thank you for the info. I will take a look. Warmest wishes
Thanks as always, for the tips. I have found a problem in the past with using UV resin on regular 2 part resin piece. I was making jewelry/earrings and buttons and found even after curing for a very long time the backs just popped cleanly off. I had to take them all apart and use E6000...then they stuck really well. I've tried several different types of UV. Have you had anything like that happen?
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Both kinds of glue worked for me. It is a puzzler why the UV resin didn't work. I'll give it another try...I found another type of UV that I really like...maybe it will work. I'll do that right now.
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts I attached some earring backs to a couple of small resin pieces. So far I can't pull them off and I tried! Must have been the UV resin I used to use, because before the earring back and UV resin would pop right off with no effort all cured together. I never bothered trying again, until today...just used glue. I'm glad you posted this, once again. I always learn something.
