This is the best video I've found for socks. I'm using much thicker yarn, so I'm really just following the technique and not the pattern. It's working out much better than my last attempt with a different video. Thanks!
It's easy to follow when watching. However, I wish there was a sum of rows and single crochets to sum up how much there should be in total for each row and how many rows for each sock on the length and heel part. However, I'm sure it'll work if I work it to my liking. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I found this to be the easiest Newborn Sock pattern to do, and I tried several! My soon to be born grandson will look so cute in the socks I made! Thank you again!!

OMG!! You saved me Sooooo much time. I wanted to crochet and watch this new Chinese drama that was released, but because I'm a beginner at crocheting, I have to watch these videos. So, I figured that I would just write down the directions, then watch my drama and crochet. I'm only 1 minute in and decided to look up new comments. Yours was the first I saw. God, I love you for this!!❤❤❤ Thank you soooooooooo much!!!!!!!!❤🎉
Thank you for posting such a clear and informative video! I’ve been wanting to make crochet socks for years and I finally did my first pair. The measurements in cm really helped me out a lot in figuring out if it was the right size. Do you have any measurements for adult socks?
When I flatten my sock it looks wider than yours. I followed all the steps exactly like you explained, what could I be doing wrong? I didn't chain one, just kept doing single crochet stitches all around until the heel part.
@@Elissealvah no it’s not lol. Most people aren’t going to be able o just guess the yarn weight based off a video. A 2.75mm hook can be paired with anywhere from a #1-#4 weight yarn. If you think it’s so easy, then what size yarn and hook is she using? I’d love to see just how wrong you are:)
Love the pattern but would be helpful if the number of stitches after each round was given. Thanks again, love this pattern just a tiny bit hard to follow sometimes.
Here are my counts, if it can help anyone. Using them I managed to produce two quite similar socks. I love your tutorial especially the heel part. A question: Will it be the same step (slip stitch at the end of every heel row) if I were to use HDCs or DCs instead of SCs?
This started out to be a great tutorial. Then you stopped giving stitch counts. Where did you place the maker in “the middle of the back row”? Was it stitch 9 from the current row? What about the heel? Is it 8,9, 10 stitches until you slot?
Hello from Portugal! Congratulations, your channel, is super! I love this simply and beautiful pattern, but i have 2 questions and I will be you verry grateful if you're able to answer my doubts. 1- Heel part - how many single crochet do you have made to the marker and how many rows? 2 - Top part - how many single crochet do you have in circle? :)
Thank you! I explain in the video how to addapt the pattern for any size, so depending on the size that you are making, you will have more or less stitches on each part :)
I have the exact same question. i have tried to make these socks over 10 times and cannot get the heel right. Can you please explain how many stitches to the stitch marker and for the top part for the newborn size? I would appreciate it!
Great video! Have to say though, 4.5cm at the feet is too small for a newborn, maybe it's for an early or tiny baby? Typical newborn feet should be around 8cm on the 1st day. Not sure this sock is supposed to be stretchy that's why it's made smaller? I used the same yarn as recommended though and it's not stretchy at all. Maybe I'm not doing something right.
"crochet" means to work one stitch, such as one single crochet. To "increase," you would work one single crochet into a stitch, and then work a second single crochet into that same stitch, which will give you one increase or two stitches in that one stitch.
one single crochet and one increase, 2 single crochet and one increase, 3 single crochet and one increase- This term is confusing wheather on the same chain or different. Please be precise
Sorry I'm super new to crochet but loved your vid and want to make a pair for my friend's baby, so if you don't mind me asking some dumb questions: 1.Does "single crochet, 1 increase" mean after 1 single crochet, the next one I'd do twice through the same hole/spot? And that'd make 3 stitches in total? 2.On the 3rd row, you said it'd be 18 stitches in total that meant doing "single stitch+1 increase" for 6 times, right? Thank you so much
This is the best video I've found for socks. I'm using much thicker yarn, so I'm really just following the technique and not the pattern. It's working out much better than my last attempt with a different video. Thanks!

Thank you for your feedback!!🥰

I am glad you guys understood the tutorial, I got lost since, she says single crochet then increase so., so on 🙈
I have looked at many crochet baby bootie videos, but this is the best one. Thank you! This is SO helpful!

what size of hook did you use for this pattern?
Simply and clear. Thank you
Thank you for your words! :D
Next time you might want to start your video telling people what size yarn and what size crochet hook.
AGREE!!!!!! I think it's a 2.75mm crochet hook so I'm guessing it's a 1 or 2 weight yarn, which is to thin for me to use.
What size hook
@@joannmedley7888 2.75 mm
It’s pretty obvious on that size you should start and what size of yarn that goes along with the crochet size.

what weight yarn and needle are you using?
I know it’s late haha, but it’s #3 yarn & a 2.75mm hook. I think they didn’t put the information so that you’d buy the online pattern to find out.
Tell me, how do I print your free pattern for baby socks? Driving me nuts
I agree! Doing it now and it’s driving me crazy. Someone please post the actual pattern!
Is it possible for an adult tutorial be made for these socks! I love how it is one piece!! Thank you!!! Great Job!!!!

Yes, but you will have to make less rows, because you will get the size earlier with larger stitches :)

Ohh :( Don't give up! You will succeed

Sweetie , there are other ways to start this . I used to do the 2 double crochet and start from the first stitch good luck! You'll get it!
I used a 5,0 mm hook in the magic circle and then used a 1.25 mm hook to slip stich together and went on. It's not visible :)
