I am a complete beginner to crochet. This was my very first project ever and it was super easy to follow. I did have a couple of mistakes and had to start over. However, I managed to do it! Some of my friends have crocheting for years said they would never be able to do it.
I just bought a beginner crochet kit and decided to learn. I had no idea I could follow along with a video! I thought I had to figure out how to read the paper instructions and I’m not good with those types of things. I have 2 sisters-in-law due to have babies in the next few months and decided the booties would be a great project for me to be able to give them handmade gifts. I made these exactly how you told us to, but I was making mine for a little girl, so after round 17, I did a round putting 3 double crochets in every stitch, and I got this ruffle at the top and it’s so adorable!

I did make 2 sets of booties already by following utube but by far, yours is the best tutorial. You have very patiently and clearly explained each round along with stating exactly which stitch we have to join and which stitch should not be counted. I’d like to say that this is the best pattern for baby booties I’ve ever ran into! Thank you so much! I’ve tried several myself. I’ve been crocheting since I was a little girl and I’m 66 years old. The directions were perfect and the size was right on. my son is having their second baby any day. I whipped these up in no time. I completed a pair of baby booties last week from someone else’s pattern, but they fit my one but they fit my one-year-old granddaughter! At least they were put to good use. You are awesome!

This was such a great tutorial. It was detailed and the repetition helped as a beginner. Some where along the 2nd row I had one too many stitches, then started that row over and then was missing one stitch. I decided to continue anyway. I got to row 15 before I decided that I wasn’t happy with the way it looked and took it apart. I’ll definitely be making a second attempt and hopefully get it down since I know that I could get mostly all the way through

Hi Amanda, it's important that you use the same weight of yarn for the project. Regarding the crochet hook, if your work is turning out bigger then you may need to go down a hook size in order to achieve the correct size🌷

Made these after making your cute bubble stitch booties. Adding stitch markers in the first stitch of each round was very helpful on those so I used them when making these too. Love your teaching style; thanks!
This is by far the best crochet tutorial I have ever seen! I have one booty almost done (my yarn got tangled so I had to stop at row 11 or 12 and it's getting past my bedtime so I will untangle tomorrow. But gosh you have the best music accompanying your instructions here and you instructions are so easy to follow!! I was trying another booty and was totally frustrated because no matter how many times I kept watching the same thing over and over again, I just couldn't understand the decreasing part the way she was explaining it. You are great with the camera angle and focus for zooming in close for us to see exactly what to do and I totally appreciate your actually pointing out where to place our hook for the stitches. You speed timing is perfect for keeping up with you with a pause to catch up here and there! I was about to give up on making a gift for someone who just had a baby girl, but I'm thrilled to have this one booty almost done now! I only had to start over once and redo a couple rounds. I’d like to say that this is the best pattern for baby booties I’ve ever ran into! Thank you so much! I’ve tried several myself. I’ve been crocheting since I was a little girl and I’m 66 years old. The directions were perfect and the size was right on. my son is having their second baby any day. I whipped these up in no time. I completed a pair of baby booties last week from someone else’s pattern, but they fit my one but they fit my one-year-old granddaughter! At least they were put to good use. You are awesome!

This was such a great tutorial. It was detailed and the repetition helped as a beginner. Some where along the 2nd row I had one too many stitches, then started that row over and then was missing one stitch. I decided to continue anyway. I got to row 15 before I decided that I wasn’t happy with the way it looked and took it apart. I’ll definitely be making a second attempt and hopefully get it down since I know that I could get mostly all the way through

Hi Amanda, it's important that you use the same weight of yarn for the project. Regarding the crochet hook, if your work is turning out bigger then you may need to go down a hook size in order to achieve the correct size🌷

Made these after making your cute bubble stitch booties. Adding stitch markers in the first stitch of each round was very helpful on those so I used them when making these too. Love your teaching style; thanks!

This is by far the best crochet tutorial I have ever seen! I have one booty almost done (my yarn got tangled so I had to stop at row 11 or 12 and it's getting past my bedtime so I will untangle tomorrow. But gosh you have the best music accompanying your instructions here and you instructions are so easy to follow!! I was trying another booty and was totally frustrated because no matter how many times I kept watching the same thing over and over again, I just couldn't understand the decreasing part the way she was explaining it. You are great with the camera angle and focus for zooming in close for us to see exactly what to do and I totally appreciate your actually pointing out where to place our hook for the stitches. You speed timing is perfect for keeping up with you with a pause to catch up here and there! I was about to give up on making a gift for someone who just had a baby girl, but I'm thrilled to have this one booty almost done now! I only had to start over once and redo a couple rounds. Thank you so much! I have subscribed too! Looking forward to doing the set to go with these booties!
