Look. When I do pvp I do use severing blades, but only sparingly, like if I come up against another spell spammer that is trying to stack up smite clouds or using the flame hammer. My only choice is to stunlock them while their Monke brain keeps wasting their inputs instead of dodging.
Luckily I haven’t fought anyone using these spells, but that most likely because I’ve only invaded at lower levels. Regardless, I agree that these spells are very overpowered and ought to be nerfed at least for PvP (maybe only a slight nerf for PvE because who wouldn’t want to melt a boss with a meteor storm? XD). There is just no semblance of balance in any sort. Like how fast spells or attacks come out or how obstructed your vision and screen is with crazy effects. They got carried away with the particles and effects in Unreal Engine 5
I loved wo long because of the downscaling and I think they got the idea from there, but it literally doesn't work in this game and the fact levels can exceed past 99 is OUTRAGEOUS.. there's no way they're playing the PvP to this game that's for sure
They for sure dropped the ball on pvp because of that, no fun to take part in pvp when Billy comes out and one shots while taking no damage. Honestly, it's a shame as the game does have the potential to be good
pvp is fucked up, I have lv 2k+, there is a bug to make any lv you want, you can do lv 9999 and literaly nobody can kill you, I wish they put a lv max.

Lucid beam is much stronger than blessed reflection because blessed reflection can easily be counter by blocking. Sure you will take withered damage but you wouldn't die. Morever, even the shield with the highest holy reduction or stability, lucid beam melted my stamina and then melted my health. I have no idea why the dev felt it should do 1 billion stamina damage as well as 1 million holy damage. Also reflection can also be countered by running towards it because the melee attack is much easy to dodge.

As someone who typically comes for the PVE & l stays for the PVP… it’s sad that the PVP is kinda trash. Honestly requires no skill. DS3 did the best job at PVP so far… had hundreds of hours of fun with that Nonetheless though, still overall enjoying LOTF!
Or I was just killed while carrying 50k vigour and I’m not interested in some random trying to make me completely lose all that progress. At least this game gives holy spells some useful and VARIED spells to use, instead of redundant healing and support spells. I’m looking at you From Soft
Cheat character small amount of mana chunk... But most of us arent exploiter and being around lvl110 this spell make my mana out of bar. I have 40 radiance. There is no chance to spam kinda spell if you are legit.
These clips were on my level 125 character and a few on my 220 character (the ones with the bone armor) just get radiance or inferno to level 50 and use the pendant and rings that increase spell damage and it just shreds
If they balance this stuff it needs to be pvp only. Like how elden ring does it. Games like this cannot be balanced the same for both pve and pvp it ruins the game and makes the pve super repetitive. More fun and powerful options is always the best for pve but balanced and competitive is the goal for pvp so it needs to be different.
Yea I agree, having stuff OP in PvE is fine and fun. Feeling like a god compared to AI stuff is really satisfying because that's kinda how it should be imo
Cataclysm is kind of garbage. It doesn't have AoE, so it's extremely easy to miss with. It's crazy expensive to cast, and it often just does less damage than Seismic Slam. I really wanted this to be an awesome spell, but it just isn't, especially since there are very few giant bosses in the game, and they tend to be fire resistant.
Something that I learned is that the AOE on it is actually weird, you can see in one of the clips I actually killed a guy behind some wooden structure. I think it's just weird and has no AOE to the sides of it
Anybody with that skull / skeleton outfit the entire outfit either glitched their ass off or literally had the game a month before everyone else for reviews or has completely no life.😂
The barrage umbral spell is broken af for pvp as well, I knew about the radiance ones and they’re pretty boring. I haven’t tried the inferno ones, but since I have fun being a piece of shit, I shall abuse them !!! Muahahaha and my 15m heavenly vials !!!! Muahahahaha
Agree with you with most of it except severing blade just cause the projectile gets cancel if it hits any hard surfaces walls or wtv so cant be use in closed area. Tracking is just really bad with some inferno spells in general (give inferno some love devs 🙏)But yeah radiance is braindead busted been saying it from day 1 lol cant count how many times ive got OS by pieta spell or lucent beam in 1second. Cloud spam too, god its stupid. Easy to fix in my opinion just drop the dmg severely in pvp and maybe longer cast time for.the first 2 and nerf the tracking and speed of the cloud maybe even number of hits it does. All these spells does smite build up too i think? So busted like not a single inferno spell does burn buildup lolll compare lucent beam and flamethrower and tell me radiance isnt over the top😂
A lot of Radiance spells have already been nerfed a lot. The cost has increased a lot, and the angels can only be used once per boss fight. Lucent beam is not that op in NG+1 but still powerful in pvp.
Why the hell did the devs have to nerf Barrage of Echoes so much? I'm alright with the increased spell cost, that makes sense. Why the damage though? Why was it basically the only spell to get a damage nerf? It'd be fair if they nerfed ALL the massive damage spells damage, but they essentially only nerfed Barrage of Echoes damage. Umbral magic f$%#ing sucks in PvP compared to Radiance and Inferno spells, so why'd they neuter one of the few Umbral spells that could save your life against those spammy Radiance builds?
Ruins the already messed up pvp and trivializes their pve yet the refuse to fix it. I think they know most of their playerbase will drop the game if they do
The most ultimate spell i have found to deal with these types of players is Alt+F4. Works every time and prevents them from getting any hands.

Its doesnt really melt boss on legit 2nd playtrough. If you are lvl 300+++ not my concern

Try that on bigger difficulty level, because judging from how much you have health, endurance and mana, you are probably 150+ level.
The devs claim they play the game, so by that logic..it is balanced that someone at lvl5000 can one shot a lvl50 since downscalling doesn't work

the bow is still strong in pvp, they should nerf all arrows as they nerfed the 2 bolts.

It hasn't been nerfed that much. With the right gear and stats, you can still probably own bosses in NG+1 and upwards
