Romania was ally to Germany from 1941 until 1944 but switched sides with the allies especially with Soviet Union because they new that the Germans were losing.
The Russians when Romania accepted armistice, whas in Romanian soil. Until then Romanians asked Germans tanks and high caliber guns to stop Russians.German responce(a little example),whas to take all tanks for German use, from Romanian motorizrd division(they trained to be the second fivision of tanks from Romanian army). When Romania accepted armistice, gived 3 days to German army to leave Romania.Hitler responce whas plan Margareta 2(ocupation of Romania, aresst king, etc). So put in place of Romanian leaders,.All war,Germans refused to help Romanians, but taked oil, grain, divisions, etc. And offered what? All army 3 whas decimated by Russians. In final single solution to Romania to not be anexed by Russia and lose more than losed, whas to accept peace. If Germans accepted to retreat in 3 days,Romania not entered in war with Germany. But responce whas Bucharest bombardament, and ocuppation of country. And then Romania declared war to Germany, and fighted on Hungary,Austria,Cehoslovacia until end of war,8 May 1945.
As the country declared war on Germany on the night of 23 August 1944, border clashes between Hungarian and Romanian troops erupted almost immediately. On 24 August German troops attempted to seize Bucharest and suppress Michael's coup, but were repelled by the city's defenses, which received some support from the United States Air Force. Other Wehrmacht units in the country suffered severe losses: remnants of the Sixth Army retreating west of the Prut River were cut off and destroyed by the Red Army, which was now advancing at an even greater speed, while Romanian units attacked German garrisons at the Ploiești oilfields, forcing them to retreat to Hungary. The Romanian Army captured over 50,000 German prisoners around this time, who were later surrendered to the Soviets.[15] In early September, Soviet and Romanian forces entered Transylvania and captured the towns of Brașov and Sibiu while advancing toward the Mureș River. Their main objective was Cluj (Cluj-Napoca), a city regarded as the historical capital of Transylvania. However, the Second Hungarian Army was present in the region, and together with the Eighth German Army engaged the Allied forces on 5 September in what was to become the Battle of Turda, which lasted until 8 October and resulted in heavy casualties for both sides.[16] Also around this time, the Hungarian Army carried out its last independent offensive action of the war, penetrating Arad County in western Romania. Despite initial success, a number of ad-hoc Romanian cadet battalions managed to stop the Hungarian advance at the Battle of Păuliș, and soon a combined Romanian-Soviet counterattack overwhelmed the Hungarians, who gave ground and evacuated Arad itself on 21 September.[17] The Romanian Army ended the war fighting against the Wehrmacht alongside the Red Army in Transylvania, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Austria and Czechoslovakia, from August 1944 until the end of the war in Europe. In May 1945, the First and Fourth armies took part in the Prague Offensive. The Romanian Army incurred heavy casualties fighting Nazi Germany. Of some 538,000 Romanian soldiers who fought against the Axis in 1944-45, some 167,000 were killed, wounded or went missing.[18] Country Beginning End Personnel Casualties (KIA, WIA, MIA) Mountains crossed Rivers crossed Liberated villages From which towns Losses of the enemy Romania 1944-08-23 1945-05-12 >275,000 (538,000) 58,330 3,831 31 167,000 KIA, WIA Materiel Yugoslavia Hungary 1944-10-08 1945-01-15 210,000 42,700 3 4 1,237 14 21,045 POW 9,700 KIA ? I'm Romanian and I have to say a historic fact: The Romanians won EVERY SINGLE WAR in Romania's history.Romanian means citizen of Ancient Rome, etymologically speaking. The Romanian Armies in WW2 had Belgian,German,Italian and Austrian sidearms,rifles,submachine-guns and equipment. They were powerful enough to smash the Germans. Another fantastic display of propaganda. Well done; but you forgot to mention that the Soviets were the only reason you even had the balls to fight against Germany.
On 23 August 1944, with the Red Army penetrating German defenses during the Jassy-Kishinev Offensive, King Michael I of Romania led a successful coup against the Axis with support from opposition politicians and most of the army. Michael I, who was initially considered to be not much more than a figurehead, was able to successfully depose the Antonescu dictatorship. The King then offered a non-confrontational retreat to German ambassador Manfred von Killinger. But the Germans considered the coup "reversible" and attempted to turn the situation around by military force. In a radio broadcast to the Romanian nation and army on the night of 23 August King Michael issued a cease-fire,[21] proclaimed Romania's loyalty to the Allies, announced the acceptance of an armistice (to be signed on September 12)[22] offered by Great Britain, the United States, and the USSR. on the night of 23 August 1944, border clashes between Hungarian and Romanian troops erupted almost immediately. On 24 August German troops attempted to seize Bucharest and suppress Michael's coup, but were repelled by the city's defenses.Other Wehrmacht units in the country suffered severe losses: remnants of the Sixth Army retreating west of the Prut River were cut off and destroyed by the Red Army, which was now advancing at an even greater speed, while Romanian units attacked German garrisons at the Ploiești oilfields, forcing them to retreat to Hungary. German DDR troops with BTRs assaulting Soviet Romanians in 1944. 100% Legit.
It's more like 1945 , towards the end of the war since Romanians joined Axis and were allies with Germans in 1944 till we switch sides
the German general is SS Ober Gruppenführer but their solider are Wehrmacht .and they have Russian tankes...
They tried to make a movie abbaut defence of Bucharest after king coup. In that time, not existed german tanks to put on movie, and nobody knowed what kind of oficers to put on units. The facts are real. Wermacht tried to enter in city to free Antonescu and arest king .Romanian army knowed the plan(Margareta 2),and neutralized this action, after days of fight. In finaly, than revenge,Wermacht bombed capital as revenge. Fighted continued in all country.
Germans divisions used captured T 34 in ww2. Learn history.
Hmmm BTR 60 in Word War 2 ? :D and Tiger-T-34 Hibrid tank ? XDDD
You can tell this was a low budget movie made during communist romania because its all russian equipment
Meme: Lasama sa iau orasul. Nu. Ba tu esti nebun nu vezi ce am in spatele meu? ARTILERIE, FOC!
I guess it's a T-34/85 looking at the suspension. Even the turret is not accurate. Real fail
Why is not acurate? Is T 34/85. Whas used in ww 2 and captured and used and by German divisions.
Name please
Numa-numa soldiers against Krauts
I'm Romanian and I have to say a historic fact: The Romanians won EVERY SINGLE WAR in Romania's history.Romanian means citizen of Ancient Rome, etymologically speaking. The Romanian Armies in WW2 had Belgian,German,Italian and Austrian sidearms,rifles,submachine-guns and equipment. They were powerful enough to smash the Germans. And they did that. The last battle was in Prague,in 1945.
Maybe you dont belive, but read a history book! After coup of 23.08.1944,German army tried to activate plan Margarethe 2,like Margarethe 1 in Hungary(plan to capture country for them),but Romanian army, known that plan, forces, movements and objectives. So..Whas prepared. Romanian new gouvarnament, gived 3 days to German forces to leave country, and there responce whas to capture country, free Antonescu and execute king and all his acolites.
1:52 WTF Tiger mixed with T34 in the worst way possible

I didnt know that Germans during WW2 had Soviet BTR 60 from 1960s.
It's a communist propaganda movie ! In reality most romanians hated the bolshevics and liked Germany

In 1985 that tanks not existed. So..created movie with what they haved(similar).
Mariana-Liliana Mary Gresesti domnisoara.
Lumea Ratonilor in 1943 nu a fost romano-ungar conflict in Transilvania! Lasa minciunile!!!
Hmm, 0:11 ~ 0:14 the truck tires look too big and too modern. Yeah, are those suppose to be captured T-34 or fake Tiger with a box over it? Not smart to send foot soldiers in front and armors in the rear. 1:21 Mortar with a loose attachment? low budget propaganda movie?
Not propaganda movie, but low budget film.
Lan t-34 tankını nasıl Tiger yapı yonuz
00:51 - that he say for this film
thumbs up for the first comment!
Communist nationalist movie propaganda movie
Still better than Fury
The GERMAN army have APC on 8 (eight) wheels !!! I'm very sure !!! The name of the apc's is SDKFZ 232 (8 WHEELS) Schwerer Panzersp hwagen !
??? Who care?
Your English is very good.
That was silly
The Romanian Army captured over 50,000 German prisoners around this time, who were later surrendered to the Soviets. The Romanian Army ended the war fighting against the Wehrmacht alongside the Red Army in Transylvania, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Austria and Czechoslovakia, from August 1944 until the end of the war in Europe. In May 1945, the First and Fourth armies took part in the Prague Offensive. The Romanian Army incurred heavy casualties fighting Nazi Germany. Of some 538,000 Romanian soldiers who fought against the Axis in 1944-45, some 167,000 were killed, wounded or went missing
In not fantastic! In 1944 on 24 August, after coup,German army tried to enter in Bucharest to free Antonescu and arest King Michail 1 and his loyals, but Romanian army prepared defence of city, and this scene represent battle for Bucharest. wikimapia.org/122396/Baneasa-bridge-lieu-of-a-2nd-WW-battle
In this scene is a German attack to capture city, arest and execute King and free Antonescu like Musolini.
Zoltan we know you're dumb.. at least gtfo.
Remember this comment in 5 years from now rusky !
1:21 ok romanian reali realistic and the tiger t34 and btr 60 ok its history coract
BTR-60 an t-34/85 those Where Great ww2 german wapons 😂
The movie is this... Oglinda Inceputul adevarului(1993)
What a load of crap! This film can't wash your guilts: Romania was an axis country, fought against the allies (Russia) and only after the tide had turned did it (opportunistically) reverse its position
Jim Retz Are you stupid? Romania was an axis country until 1944, which they declared war on the axis.
+Jim Retz 'fought against Russia' ? There was no Russia, only Soviet Union which oppressed the Russian people who welcomed the Christian Germans as liberators. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2003413/Soviets-supported-Christian-crusader-Nazis-World-War-II.html
Ion Antonescu it was a cum,if his majesty don't "sold the country",probably that in north Trannsylvania you would have hear "the Trannsylvan language" like in Moldova Republic.
Post Scriptum:sorry for my english
I wouldn't say Russia was in with the "allies" , it was a faction on it's own as history proves till today , but yea it's a communist movie so there's a lot of propaganda . Truth is romanians hated the russians more than they could hate the germans
Is knowet like Baneasa battle,in Romanian History.
OK ! I'm glad cause you understand ! In the movies they don't have real GERMAN weapons and they use what they have like the russians do in all theyr movies when they use T-34 tanks !
against all odds, romania won! and became known for it. prpud to be in the country :D
When you see the tank
Fail pants camo 0:44 Modern Woodland camo on late war German troops? Really? And their tunics should be feldgrun (field green), not something like light gray. Nice accuracy hollywood!
Romania was axis country during WW2
Its very unrealistic
When Romania joined the Axis they were ruled by Ion Antonescu but when king Michael became leader of Romania again the Germans attacked Romania forcing Michael to join the allies
Oh, and king Michael didn't like the axis
Lol soo weird
Alguien sabe el Titulo de esta Pelicula?
