I always wished we could have seen her dealing with anakin!vader in a live action. Growing up princess leia was really the first heroine who was a princess and completely bad ass at the same time! I don't remember any other females like her when I was a little girl. I just thought it would be an interesting thing to see her deal with!
I’m starting to think that the force allowed Ben Solo to choose the dark side to get Leia to look at forgiveness from a different perspective, as she was too reluctant to forgive her father. So her son turning to the dark side probably could have been an opportunity for her to learn the need to forgive her father; considering how suffering and confusion is what led both grandfather and grandson to the dark side. She was more willing to forgive her son because of how much pain he endured, but not her father despite he having endured probably more pain than her son, his grandson, did. Like a “If you can forgive your son, then you need to forgive your father too. Both of them experienced great suffering” coming from the Force. I mean, she should forgive him as much as Cal Kestis forgave Trills Suduri, when he said “Trilla! I saw what you’ve been through. You’ve experienced great suffering! It’s not too late to let it go!” Leia out of many of the people in lore should understand.
This scene could have been priceless had it been included “Return of the Jedi”. Luke got closure after fighting Vader on the Death Star. Leia it took over 7 years. And then still didn’t have full closure about Vader even after Anakin visited her on Bakura. All she could do was separate the different personalities between Anakin and Vader in order to get some closure. She decided to forgive Anakin because he was tricked into falling to the Dark Side, but continued to loathe Vader because of all the atrocities he either caused or didn’t stop throughout the galaxy.
Ok so you haven't read Bloodlines yet, do yourself a favor and read it. Of the post ROTJ novels, Bloodlines is my #1. Fantastic story. You'll find a treasure trove of great stuff in it. The Aftermath series had some promise but Wendig came up short in the 3rd volume. Still, Aftermath had some great parts in Volume 2.
So how exactly did anakin and his mother end up as slaves in the first place, I’ve always wondered that also ….what if they had never been slaves and had just lived on the planet where they were eventually found
In canon, Shmi and her parents were abducted by pirates and sold into slavery. The book “Skywalker A Family At War” is a biography of the Skywalker family!
Thanks for this! It’s hard to keep up with what is Canon after 20 plus years of Officially Sanctioned Lucasfilm novels… I wish Disney would just accept them, rather than letting others pick away at the best bits and pieces, then present them as ‘new’ canon. Hence, again, my appreciation for your site.✌️🤘🇨🇦
That's right Leia! Stand up for yourself! Its horrible that Luke and Anakin's only response to Leia's justified feelings is dark side darkside anger is the dark side.
True, but it is really cool that she does retain memories of her! In the novelization of Episode 9, Leia's Jedi training with Luke is explained, and its stated that Luke told her the Force can show you the past, present, and future. So Leia knew that's how she remembered Padme even though she died in childbirth
“I’m stubborn.” Duh, you’re a Skywalker 😎
*a Skywalker with DOUBLE ROYALTY

Another master class story by Jedi Grand Master Retney.
The comics, animated series seem to tie together many issues that couldn't be done in the OT and PT .

@@mike197714 Canon is the current continuity created by Lucasfilm in 2014
I prefer Legends than Canon

It feel like she not angry for what he did but him dying too soon and leaving her 😢

It's a shame she never met her mom, Padme.
