Sonic Generations - S Ranks & No Skills - Part 010: Shadow Rival Battle

It had to be Shadow for this era. There's no other rival that comes close to Shadow in the series in all honesty. Metal Sonic would probably be second based on him being in every era, but I wouldn't even say it's close to Shadow.
It's also the year of Shadow as I'm uploading this, with the third Sonic movie featuring him and Shadow x Sonic Generations coming out this year (which I'm getting of course). I probably should schedule the rest of Shadow the Hedgehog after this.
This is based on the fight after Final Rush/Chase.
The way to defeat Shadow is to drain all his rings. You can do this through hitting him whilst boosting, but it doesn't seem that effective.
The main goal is to boost through the stage, pulling tricks off and collecting rings to maintan the gauge and grab the Light Spheres before him. Live and Learn will then play and you hit Meteorites to slow him down before boosting into him to drain his rings.
In Hard difficulty he is quicker, collects more rings, and you need three Light spheres to trigger the special attack. There's also more Meteorites you will need to hit in this mode to slow him down enough.
