Now that’s what that island use to be like before all the cruise ships! Brings back a lot of memories! I’ve personally driven around that island, at least 50 times. Thanks for the tour! Keep posting, I’m watching! Be well!
Thanks for watching! yes I spoke to some local people there and they said that usually the water around the marina is really brown because of all the oil and stuff from the boats. It is a nice island!
@@shajeahar7374 Snorkel at any of the many iron shore or sand beaches on the southwest side of the island, as you move south of town. For iron shore, Money Bar and Sky Reef both are good choices. For sand beach, Playa Palancar is good. Rent a cheap car (I wouldn't recommend the scooter, it takes a long time at ~40mph) and drive around Punta Sur and over to the east side (wild side). Punta Sur park is nice but a bit expensive. If you keep driving the road around the island (as WIlliam showed in this video), you will find the other side is pretty sparse. There are turtle nesting grounds over there. Very cool if they are nesting/hatching when you go. Respect nature, no cars down there please....but it is very cool. Stop by Coconuts for a cliffside view and drink. Spend time in town trying the local restaurants, their food is amazing. I have a list of favorites if interested. See the ruins, visit shops up and down Melgar (main road on the west side/waterfront). We scuba dive, if you are a diver...it is some of the best diving in the world. To that point, if you aren't a diver, there are "try or discover scuba" excursions that are a easy way to try scuba. They also have snuba at places like Jeanie's where you put on a helmet that provides air and you walk around around the ocean floor.
Ahhhh... yesssss... loved seeing the snorkeling and so glad for you to be able to move around more in the coming months! Continue to stay safe and I’m ready for the next video!!!
Awesome video bro. You put a lot of work into your videos. Keep up the good work. Great shots. You will be huge if you keep making stuff like this. Respect.
I haven't been to Cozumel yet, this was great to see. Makes me want to do the same thing, rent a scooter and drive around the island. Great video as always!
Another great video, it's too bad you didn't get a chance to check out the lighthouse at punta sur, it was our favorite part. You can actually climb up to the top
Yes it was really nice there and the snorkeling was great. Happy birthday! Montana is nice though! I think, I've never been. Furthest north I went in the U.S. was Colorado. Thanks for watching and commenting !
Nice job. We have been there twice and rented scooters just like you did and always ride around the island. Last time we went was 2019. I remember seeing/stopping at most of what you filmed. Peace!
Revisiting this video of yours. This was the first one I watched of yours since I was searching for Cozumel videos at the time. Funny how it was believed that everything was supposed to re-open on June 1st, 2020! Peace William!
You were so lucky to visit Cozumel during pandemics, because you didn't see all these crazy crowds, especially on the western side of the island. I was there a bit earlier than you in February and it was so so packed. We even stuck in the traffic jam on the western side :( I love Cozumel for its wild beaches and amazing colour of the water with so many shades of blue and even purple.
Oh yeah I can imagine that it is so packed during high season and when there is no virus! It was really nice to go around the island without people. I really loved it too. Good you got to see it in February right before the virus panic started in March!
@@williamtaudien Yes, visiting Mexico right before pandemic was a such amazing and lucky thing to do and we spent 5 great weeks in Playa. This helped me so much to escape cold Canadian gloomy weather. Now I can't wait to go back to Playa. Have a wonderful tine there William and thank you for your positive videos!
Cozumel Island "IS one big coral reef". I've been around that route twice. Great memories. Too bad you didn't stop to notice the WATER SPOUTS shooting out of the holes in the dead coral on the eastern shore. You must have had a calm day as the eastern shore winds can be brutal. A magnet for top-end wind surfers.
Loved cozumel.. visited it twice.. one time with a scooter, one with a jeep.. an explosion happened on the cozumel ferry the day after we went.. drug related..
Great job William ! In this time of the pandemic , you went out there to explore when almost everybody hunkered down waiting to see how this crazy situation going to be played out . When times are good it is easy to travel and everybody out there coming and going. But in difficult times as this one , guys like you showing everybody the way , keep it up .

Cozumel is world-renowned for its scuba diving and proximity to numerous top dive sites. The Mesoamerican reef system is the second-largest reef system in the world (after the Great Barrier Reef), and there is extensive coral and sea life with incredible visibility.
