My mother used to make corn starch pudding. Also, you can use cornstarch as a breading/coating on meat. And corn starch is used a thickener as opposed to flour because cornstarch has less of a tendency to leave you lovely little clumps of undisolved/incoprated thicker in your suaces and gravies.

I live in California and my part of the state has eucalyptus trees literally everywhere. We imported them for fast-growing timber during the gold rush then realized the wooden boards would warp and twist not long after being cut. They planted so many of them all over the place that now they’re seen as a pest. They shed branches constantly, ha ha. It’s funny to see such familiar trees so far away.

The more force you hit with oobleck, the harder it is to bypass it. That's why the bowling ball didn't sink. For people who *still* don't understand, let's say there's you, and a humongous crowd, if you sprint in the crowd, the more likely it is for you to stop. If you went slow, you could easily bybass it (same with oobleck, if you're slow, then you'll sink)
Why do you guys not make a pulley system at the top of the tower so you do not have to walk up every time you miss and instead just put whatever y'all are trying to get to the top in a box and lift it up by the pulley
The most common use of cornstarch in cooking is as a thickener to make gravy. Near the end of cooking a dish, remove some of the sauce from the liquid that has come out of the sauteed meat and veggies. Put it in a small bowl and mix in a tablespoon or two of corn starch. Turn the heat off on the pan and add the thick cornstarch mixture into the liquid in the pot and it will turn into a nice, thick gravy. Question: The 2:1 ratio for water and corn starch - is that by volume, or by weight?

EDIT: Actually probably should have said stews instead of soups.
Corn is basically used in most American food products
Yup, I use it over flour to thicken the gravy my stews, chop suey, and taco seasoning.
Cool Kylee It’s good time cheat for sauces and reductions.
Anvil vs Oobleck?
Damn ya took my idea
Giovanna Fraser your a genius
Agreed
thanks for the idea. (no offense to be made or tried)
interesting
Love the whistling noise of a bowling ball in free fall :)
Oobleck vs oobleck! 💪
Aymil LiverFoolish Yey!
tato Epic You’re*
Aymil LiverFoolish UUmmmmmmmm
Aymil LiverFoolish how tf
Aymil LiverFoolish that's a stuped idea
The more force you hit with oobleck, the harder it is to bypass it. That's why the bowling ball didn't sink. For people who *still* don't understand, let's say there's you, and a humongous crowd, if you sprint in the crowd, the more likely it is for you to stop. If you went slow, you could easily bybass it (same with oobleck, if you're slow, then you'll sink)
7:05 i think it got wedge in the corner, a circle has no corner
it does now!
Yeah, but that’s a cylinder, not s circle 😂
@Dylan Scott who is stupid?
@@christianwoodley7699 no it is a circle a cylinder
The pool has an infinite number of corners though
Ok hear me out oobleckmfalling on oobleck? Would it merge or would the force make it solidify
But the main question is what are you going to do with the oobleck after the video
Eat it
@@くんリラクマ Ahahaha you had the exact same idea as me
Eat it....
Sorry I'm a horror tale fan.... XD
Redtube vid?
Why do you guys not make a pulley system at the top of the tower so you do not have to walk up every time you miss and instead just put whatever y'all are trying to get to the top in a box and lift it up by the pulley
Ramsey Soileau it’s not their tower
Ramsey Soileau They do have a pulley system
just not at every level
To get exercise
Ramsey Soileau and who’s gonna tip the box when it gets to the top????
Cornstarch is used for thickening liquids like gravy and custard.
Silver and for strech armstrong
The most common use of cornstarch in cooking is as a thickener to make gravy. Near the end of cooking a dish, remove some of the sauce from the liquid that has come out of the sauteed meat and veggies. Put it in a small bowl and mix in a tablespoon or two of corn starch. Turn the heat off on the pan and add the thick cornstarch mixture into the liquid in the pot and it will turn into a nice, thick gravy.
Question: The 2:1 ratio for water and corn starch - is that by volume, or by weight?
Corn starch is used for cooking... it’s a thickening agent used for gravies and cakes
Jonathon Woodgate it can be used for fun you are really serious about items and how to use them
