    I can appreciate that some people have short attention spans and might just want to get to the fix.
    I'd rather watch the long version.

    These will be great! Although I prefer the 40+ minute ones, these will reach enormous audience who have short attention span and want to know what's wrong with their stuff immediately.

    Thanks for the mention Chris :-) Great idea these TTP fixes. It will promote your channel more to the wider audience who then may go on to watch the longer versions. I think you should release the TTP after your longer videos like you did with the ribbon cable fix (clever idea). Otherwise on this one you have given away the outcome before the long version was released which may spoil it for many viewers. You could if you had time go over all your old videos and TTP each of them. Personally I would love that as I often don't always have time to watch the 50 minute ones, I'm too busy burning boards and the like, which probably wouldn't happen if I watched more of your vids :-) Keep up the good work :-)

      Thanks =D I think it was a good idea for you to do short versions too! Just to cater for people "in a rush" etc. I've already started working my way back through older videos (maybe you should consider doing the same)! One benefit of that is 95% of my viewers aren't going to go back to some of my older videos (many of which are pretty crusty lol). So it will mean additional content too, and I can add to them as required if anything isn't clear etc.

      @@GadgetUK164 I did start, I made short versions of the Xbox One Controllers Joblot but started to lose interest. I think a voice over would be the best option on them as it is very hard to break them down into shorter lengths while waffling on in the original video. Unfortuantely my editing and editing software (Movie Maker) needs a bit of work and upgrading and I probably need to buy a mic etc. It is definitely something I need to look into. TTP is a great name, short and sweet and doesn't take up much room in the title. Looking forward to more of them :-)

    I'd say keep these short ones as a trailer. This way people can decide if they want to go on with the long version (which I prefer by the way).
    Now onto the long one... See you there! :-D

    When I stuck the multimeter inside the port and to the point on the board nothing happened. There was continuity on all the other ports. What would I need to do to fix this?

    • @GadgetUK164
      @GadgetUK164  Год назад

      A soldering iron, some solder, and a piece of wire to join up the port to the solder point it is broken.

    I have one problem one of the RCA output connectors on Marantz CD63MKII original SE is not sending the sound signal in the left speaker, when I move the cable's lug up the sound appears in the left speaker, when I released it the sound dissapears, please I need an advice how to repair this since I am not an electronist.

    • @GadgetUK164
      @GadgetUK164  Месяц назад

      It sounds just the problem I had - or just a dry solder point on the connector. Just take it to bits carefully, and reflow the solder points on the connector. Chances are that would fix it.

    Howdy from Canada.
    Great video. Appreciate.
    I have a question in the context of rca.
    I have tascam 1/4 inch 2 track tape recorder.
    Is it possible to replace the rca in put out puts to a xlr in pit out put ?
    Any thought are appreciated.
    Cheers mate

      Yes, if you can find XLR sockets that would fit the profile on the case! The alternative is to just create some cables that adapt from RCA to XLR. With things like that I tend to measure the diameter of the holes and go compare to sockets on Digikey, Mouser, eBay etc.

    hi nice video, Im facing an issue with phono connector of my receiver. It's sounds too low, I need to give all volume just to hear a little. But if I use AUX connector Im able to hear normally.
    Do you have an idea of what could it be?
    thanks for the time.

    • @GadgetUK164
      @GadgetUK164  2 года назад +1

      It could be a problem with the opamp accepting the input - maybe a PSU fault. Have you inspected the capacitors?
