Carried a gen 3 17 for years, then got a gen 5 19 mos to put a red dot on, didn’t know I could mill the 17 at the time. Carried the 19 for years, and loved it, but always thought I was missing something. Went back the the 17, gen 5, and now I know what was missing. The extra slide and grip length just makes a difference when shooting. I had to try them all before I knew what was perfect for me.
I have both and prefer the G45. Once I trained and became very proficient with the G26, I had little need for the G19. I can shoot the G26 as well as the G19 and G17, if not better. I don’t mind the recoil in 9mm handguns, my main concern is the mass of the slide as it returns to battery. I find shorter slides return faster and settle quicker than longer slides. The G45 was the size 9mm that I’ve been waiting for GLOCK to build. I like the full size grip with the shorter slide of the G45, especially with loaded mags, as it balances the feel of the gun for me. It’s one of reasons I like weighted +2 base pads when I shoot the G17.
If you have disposable income I'd ger the 19 then a 47. Then you can swap slides and make a 45 or a 19l and still have the 19 and 47 which is basically a 17
That g45 vs. g19 discussion hit home. Through my gun journey I’ve learned that I prefer a taller grip as the ideal. That doesn’t mean I don’t have shorter grips, particularly on my EDCs, but it took awhile for me to get to my sweet spot and that’s why the g45 was my choice. I actually sold my g19 because my pinky was just falling off, which is not optimal for a gun I shoot for long periods of time. Keep reading the people’s comments/questions BD lol, good times.
I have small- medium hands and I still prefer the 45/19x over the 19 (which was my first firearm) I just think it shoots better honestly and the 17 lower is more comfortable to me and better to get a higher grip since the hump is lower than it is on the 19

Well man, a G45 is a G19 with 17rd grip obviously. I will go with the 19 to carry and add a 17 mag with a spacer to cover the gap if I need to get a better grip or equal to the g45, or a +3 from HYVE. The 19 will offer more choices than a G45 all day every day, so for me the G19 is a winner. Hey but for shooting and handling the G17. For me 17 and 19 only.
What's the mission? For daily carry, I prefer a G43 w/Shield mag, front pocket in a kydex holster. For loaded under the towels in the bathroom, I have a G22. I have cats and dogs, so I cannot just leave striker-fired guns scattered around the house! I don't think the cats have the paw strength to fire a 686, P-07 or 229.

Honestly I would rather pick up fiber optic sights rather than night sights. Pick what you love but also apply reason to your choices just don't over think it.

As for the purpose that it would serve, at first was thinking for carry but after getting that px4 compact carry out to the range I think it’ll do nicely. Not sure if you’ve ever gotten to mess with one but that trigger is insane. I ordered a 10# spring from Langdon and I’m not sure if I’ll even put it in as the single action is light as it is. Went and handled both the 19 and the 45 and that 45 feels so nice in the hands. Not gonna lie, I’m not feeling them goal post sights. As for what you said in the other video about night sights I feel like the biggest con is that they burn out and you’ve gotta replace them every few years. With a weapon light you just change the battery and your good money. I’ll let you know if I end up picking up the 45 or not. Who am I kidding, I’ll likely end up getting it. Keep on keepin it real, and stay safe out there.

I carried a Gen 3 17 for 3 years now my edc is the 45 MOS. I still use my 17 for competition shooting, but my conceal carry is my 45. I run both for competitions. The 45 grip/handle fits better as like my 17 the 19 was too small for MY hands. Team Glock no matter what
I like the G45 but love my G19 gen 5 with the 17rd mag and Xgrip sleeve!!! I always have the option of slipping the 15 rd standard mag in for more concealability.
Some gun shops rent so you can try the one you think you like before purchasing, you may find it awesome or it's not the one for you. There are so many options. Very nice collection.
For combat distance under 25 yards, I much prefer my G45 over either my Gen5 19 or 17. When shooting steel club level competition out to 45 yards or so, I greatly prefer my G34 or my Gen 1 reproduction 17. It just depends on the daily use. My CCW is always either the 19 or the 45. I too like different guns for different occasions when edc. Spring/Summer its my P365X without a question. Its now my year round carry until I can get the HK VP9SK or the P30SK for Fall/Winter.

The 2011 platform is just a different world that I am still not sure I want to dive into completely and I love the lego ability of the Glock platform. $2500 Stacatto vs a $500 Glock is tough to justify. Am in the same boat. Went and dolled up my c2, but at the end of the day, I just love my custom made Glock 19. Used a bunch of budget parts and a lower I got on sale (all in, less than $400), but just the simplicity and comfort I have with it, I don’t know if I can ever dive into 2011’s fully unless I got rid of that thing
I'll take my Glock over my Staccato anyday. Don't get me wrong because I love my C2 but when shit hits the fan I want my Glock. One tool needed and parts are easy to find. Simplicity and low maintenance is what you want in a firearm imo. Please don't yell at me. lol.
Firearms are very expensive here they cost 3 times more than in the US so what i usually recomend people that want to buy a gun for CC is to get a very good holster for the gun they like put on the clothes they will wear when carrying go to the range rent the gun put it in the holster see if it prints if it is comfortable etc fire it do all that before you buy because here the process takes up to 10 weeks usually less but it could and most guns ex M&Ps, walthers, glocks cost 1300 usd a cz p10 c or f around 1100 slo it is an expensive mistake if you get it wrong

Yea, the Hogue slip on is a great grip. I had one on a gen 2 17 for years. But if you haven’t tried a Talon Pro, Let’s just say it’s the schizzle. I carry the Glock 45 MOS for work and I love it. I agree with you on pretty much everything. Since Glock released the Glock 47, I almost wish I had bought the Glock 19 gen 5 MOS and then picked up the Glock 47. From there you basically have 4 guns for the price of 2. I'm not parting with my Glock 45 MOS any time in the foreseeable future. Just subscribed!

A Gen 3,4,5 Glock 19 has the ability to attach a light. A Glock 26 does not, so that's a minus for the G26 in versatility compared to a G19. If the 10-round flat base magazine in a G26 is right for you then great, but if you use an extension or xgrip sleeve on the G26 then may as well use a G19, which would reduce or eliminate the major hand-fat pinch that is present during G26 magazine reload. Also have you tried which model you can get out of a holster faster/better/on target between the 2?
I have to tell ya the EPS carry rocks dude. But be advised you need to buy aftermarket screws from C&H precision because the stock screws don't work for the G43x mos.
Carried a 17 for a while bought a 19 just to see what's up, and found out I enjoyed the 19 because the 17 mags with a +2 dug into my ribs while sitting and driving. The slide length also crush my nuts while sitting/driving, and that was fucking annoying 😂. Officially switched to only the 19 with a TLR7, and the 26 when riding my motorcycle 👍
I also just moved from Brooklyn to where the fuck am i Pennsylvania. And my first gun was also a cz. But I’m reverse from him. I got a p10f then a P07. I also got an sig p365 380 lol. I’ve only own a gun for two months and I already own 3 lol.

I love the versatility of my 509CC Edge. I can go 12 round, 15, 17, or 24 rounder and they have mag extensions so they look like they fit in the gun

Carried a 17 for a while bought a 19 just to see what's up, and found out I enjoyed the 19 because the 17 mags with a +2 dug into my ribs while sitting and driving. The slide length also crush my nuts while sitting/driving, and that was fucking annoying 😂. Officially switched to only the 19 with a TLR7, and the 26 when riding my motorcycle 👍

@@mikeprice8307 My question was kind of rhetorical and meant to be in a joking manner and to each of its own, but if someone feels that one is enough then more power to that person. Who am I to tell some that just one isn't enough. It's a hobby and a passion to me. Every firearm has its purpose and for different situations like the weight of the firearm,, the size, capacity, conceal ability, caliber, and what a person feels most comfortable with in any situation.
I can't speak for everyone, but I don't mind longer videos. By the way, I caved and ended up getting the Glock 17. I don't need it but the fact that they aren't planning to make more MOS versions sold me...
