I really love your willingness to put together different colors and designs. Your imagination is just fantastic.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the beautiful "green" bowl. I'm learning so much from your videos.🤠
You are so welcome!
The latest country hit from the Sprague River Boys: "That must be a cat hair in the finish cuz it sure ain't one of mine!" Lovely work, Jim!
Too funny! Thanks
Excellent artistry my friend. I absolutely love it when you can take something meant for the trash and turn it into something beautiful. 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi Jim
At first look it looks like green jelly & pineapple chunks. I've had a very busy day & its 2.38am Saturday, but I couldn't resist just having a glimpse at this week's project. I will watch the video later. Wow -bright colours Good night/morning
Sounds great! Thanks
Great work! I enjoy your videos! 👍😊
Thank you very much!
Beautiful piece! That green is so cool and the burl works so well with it. Awesome work again! Congrats to the winner!
Thank you very much!
Hi 👋, Jim, I hope you are all keeping safe and well, as it is on my mind, I love the music at the end, I’ve listened to it before, walking in the sky, It comes across very well recorded,, I have a serious pair of transmission line loudspeaker cabinets that I built around 40 years ago, with a NAD 150 w, Sorry, I’ve got confused then, another Great wood, turning project,, it looks beautiful, A great piece of art the person who has won. It should be very proud of it., I was hoping to do some Woodturning this week, but because of where I live in the Correze region of France, and in other regions as well, there has been a serious amount of rain, to the point where they thought they might have to open the bar up on the dam up river, You may not realise it, but the name of my property is called the Moulin in English. Mill and of course it is on the river., they were expecting the river to come up by around 2 to 2 1/2 m, luckily, it hasn’t, however, I did have to spend nearly all day bringing a lot of my handles and equipment up from my basement up to the next floor, Luckily, the river didn’t come up that high, So hopefully next couple of days I’ll take my tools back down again, and I have some good news, The issue with my ex female partner has been resolved,
I think it’s called money, money money , no ABBA wasn’t involved in it, Hopefully not too long after Christmas I’ll be ordering Some Hunter tools, Some resin, and I might even get the first part of the kit for the one-way coring system, Though I do have a serious problem with my Roof and that needs to be sorted first, but won’t take too long because all I got to do is pay them some money, It’s been over a year since I had a storm damage, they said they will replace the whole roof, but I’ve got to put some money towards the removal of the asbestos roofing, which is a bit of a bummer because I thought my insurance cover it, Sorry, I’m gambling on again,
Great project, Jim, enjoyed watching you produce some marvellous piece of art , I wish you and your family all the success, the future,
Phil from the moulin France
The roof can wait when there’s Woodturning to do, lol. Glad you didn’t get flooded out. We watch another channel here on RUclips call Escape to Rural France. We love it. Thank you very much!
Beautiful piece, Jim. Was thrilled to be in the live chat for my first time today. Now let’s see if the random comment selector shows me some love next time…
Fingers crossed! Thanks
Hi 👋 Jim, how to prevent resin and wood shavings from going onto your Camera, or recording device, Two or three ideas, One is a fan that blows the shavings away from yourself and recorder, But not sure how big a fan, and whether it would cause problems with noise, number two, built a hood over the top, so the camera is set back well inside, so the shavings then don’t go onto the camera but go onto the front of the hood. If it is round or oval shape. Hopefully the shavings were then slide off, Number three idea, might mean changing camera, 🎥 or changing the lens, so you can set the camera further back from where it is normally operating from, So the shavings fall onto the floor and don’t get hung up on the camera, 🎥, We probably just need a different type of lens to adjust your field of focus, I did think of using a very powerful extractor, but I think it would be very noisy, And could end up having a fire because of the resin being packed into the bins or a extractor system, Keep up the great work. Look forward to next weeks project., Phil from the moulin.
I think the fan will cause audio issues. I actually have a hood and will try it, the way it’s made makes me think it will collect dust. I have other lenses that came with my video recorder and will also look at them too. Thanks for the advice!
Lovely bowl, love green!
Thank you!
Designer Epoxy amazing product and customer service, Gabriel is the best.
Agreed! Thanks!
Congrats on 110!!! Beautiful work, Jim!
Thank you kindly!
Great job. I love the color. I'm looking forward to your next project. Designer epoxy
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful Beautiful My Friend. Congrats On The Winner 🥰
Thanks for the giveaway!
Paint wood gold like gold chunks and use the green pigment and make a bowl for saint Patrick’s day ☘️
Thanks so much!
Another beautiful piece, Jim. I really appreciate that you take the time to explain things. You would make a very good woodturning instructor.
Thank you very much!
Love the piece this week. Maybe one the membership perks could be compilation videos of jim vs the bucket
Possibly! Lol.
Jim, you never disappoint, yet another great project. And thank you for all the great information about wood turning.
Very welcome! Thanks
Congratulations on 110k, great videos and the length if awesome. Congratulations to the winners. Another great bowl.
Thanks 👍
Hi Jim, you never disappoint!! Very beautiful!!

Awesome, thank you!
CONGRATS ON 110K JIM!!!!!!! I really like this week's project. That Enchanted Green colour is fantastic.
Thank you! Cheers!
This piece is beautiful! Great work again!
Thank you very much!
Set up a small air hose to blow on the camera from above and it might work. Flex line.
I’m worried about how much the mic will pickup. Thanks
Wow wow wow Jim!! Absolutely love the all the character in those pieces of wood coupled with the brilliant green. That bowl is absolutely fantastic!
Thank you very much!
Designer Epoxy ❤❤
Absolutely gorgeous bowl ❤❤ love that shade of green ❤❤. Awesome job Jim ❤❤!! Congratulations to the winners 🎉❤🎉!!
Thank you very much!
Great bowl once again and congrats to the winners. So glad your channel is working so well for you.
Thank you very much!
Love your videos...So natural...like your conversation about how it goes or maybe not so goes.. hahaha. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO you and yours.
Thank you, same to you!
Good looking piece, as always 😊 Congrats to the winners!
Thank you kindly
Wow! When that tenon broke, I actually gasped! But that's why I watch you - you are great at explaining and dealing with things that go wrong.
Gorgeous piece, can't wait to see what is next.
Thank you very much!
Another beautiful bowl, Jim. Congratulations to the winner.
Thank you kindly
Beautiful bowl. Love the color and design. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas everyone ❄️⛄️🤶🛷🦌🎄🎅❤️
Designer Epoxy
Happy holidays! Thanks
Congratulations on reaching 110,000 viewers. You missed out on your weekly bucket workout. Did you still get your cardio and arm workout this week?😂 Very nice work Jim. Designer Epoxy.
Na, took a week off, lol. Thanks
Hi Jim I truly admire you work I'm not a woodturning person. I just enjoy watching yo u do your ( MAGIC ) It's very relaxing. THANK YOU. Ismael
Thanks for watching
Congratulations on 110K!!! Gorgeous green!!
My heart dropped when the tenon broke....feared you wouldn't get that core!!
You and me both! Lol. Thanks
Box elder burl and gorgeous green resin--just can't be beat! I love that shade of green. Bowl turned out super nice, must admit I'm a bit jealous of the winner. Congrats to both of you, by the way! I placed my first order with Designer Epoxy a few days ago, and it's set for delivery for today. Their website is easy to use, shipping really fast, I'm pretty happy with them! Again, love the bowl!
Thanks so much! You will love it!
Wonderful job Jim, it looks beautiful. Thank you for explaining your epoxy finish process, information like that is always helpful. I can’t wait to see your Christmas piece. 👍
Very welcome. Thanks so much!
Hysterical - after listening to you for this long, I’m going to have to work hard not to call it “The Be-All Buffing System.” I can clobber a name too which is why I’m good with mine: 5 letters, 1 syllable, hard to do much to it. 😂
Lol. Thank you very much!
Hi Jim. I just got my 220V setup for my Powermatic lathe. I'm totally stoked to start using this. What type of epoxy would you recommend for a beginner with epoxy. I plan on using your code for Designer Epoxy. Also - what brand of face shield are you using? It seems like yours is a respirator and face shield in one.
Start with deep cast, it’s very user friendly and will allow bubbles to escape and it’s a Powercap by JSP. Have fun! Thanks
Another great piece, and as always, educational and inspiring. Every time I watch your weekly video, designer epoxy gets more money from me…lol, but well worth the spending. Thanks again Jim for being authentic!
😂 Wow, thank you!
So beautiful! I jumped when the tenon broke. Maybe a fan behind the camera blowing out and away from the camera would help with the shavings? Or would that be too noisy? Thanks for another great vid and congrats on 110K!
It will probably cause audio issues. Thank you very much!
Sorry about the tennon Jim, Walnut is NOT a good wood as you most likely know by now. Great use of the Tolly tailstock extender. Hoping that Mike Hunter might start making them for those that use the Oneway coring system. Another awesome project with a lot of good information for turners. Designer epoxy
I hope so too, will mention it to him. Thanks
Absolutely gorgeous Jim! Thanks for sharing your talents with us 😊. I look forward to your new project every Friday! Congratulations to the winners of the drawing today your channel is growing fast 😊Congratulations Jim.
Thanks so much!
Congrats to the 2 Winners and to you for the 110K Subscribers! That’s Fantastic. Wow…love the bowl color and the burl looks beautiful. 😊
Thank you so much!
I was just wondering if you ever used medium to dark green and here it is! It's gorgeous! I love the variety of shapes in the wood. Congratulations on another beautiful piece!
Thanks so much!
Mmmmmm, brick'a'brack slime bowl! Very cool piece! The hard lines along with the natural edges of the burl pieces does some very fun things for the look on this piece. Lovely work, Jim!
Thank you very much!
I love your work. I'm not sure I'm a fan of straight lines but you certainly hold my interest. I especially love your 100,000 give away bowl and others of that type. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much!
So, I know you like to turn but I was thinking some bookends would be fun. It’s been on my mind a lot because I need some for my new shelf 😅❤Also, I would love to see you concern the challenge of having a stark white ink swirled in with blues and make a winter snow/ice theme hollow form. ❄️❄️❄️🌨️
No bookends for me, lol. I do plan on doing a blue and white casting in the future. Thanks
Very nice piece. Love the bowl and all the different kinds of wood. It's just beautiful. Designer Epoxy
Thank you very much!
Congratulations winners!! Thank you Jim!! You are absolutely crushing this you tube thing!! You always have great advice too! I dont know how you juggle it all but I'm thankful you do! I have thought about buying some cameras and recording some of what I do but just dont think I have the time to work it all out. During my home time I just get orders out and try to get some inventory going for the few shows I do during the summer. But you have taught me a lot of tips in your videos that have saved me time and money! We all know how valuable both those are, so I will do what I can to help you get those 4 feet. Speaking of which..... will you be shutting down the videos till ya'll get moved. Kim Tipton has yet to return to the videos and I'm not sure if she will come back. I know you will because I have watched how much you have grown this and I'm sure the money is better than the shows and a lot less travel and both rent! I look forward to next week!!
The intention is to keep the channel going, hoping for a door to door move but at this point it's a guessing game. My brother in law who will be living close to where we will be living has offered up his garage until my shop is completed. It could be some building video's, but at this stage I just don't know. With that said, it's important to me to keep the channel going to pay for this crazy building bill, lol. Thank you very much!
Who would have thought all those pieces morphed into this wonderful turning! Maybe it just the randomness. Nice recovery on the coring process. Bowl looks great!
Designer epoxy
Thank you very much!
Beautiful piece, I now know what to do with all the pieces coming off my burl bowls that I have made. And will add the "designer Epoxy" in this comment.😎👍
Thank you very much!
I wasn't sure about this one when you started. The mix of live edges and straight edges felt awkward. However, the end result is lovely. The way the resin looks like it's flowing from the top to the bottom is amazing and eye catching. DesignerEpoxy
Thank you very much!
Me agsain,
Wow, 110000 Subscribers, Usually once u break ur 100,000 subs it seems add fast
Trust me i had 1 million subs before RUclips took them away
Bless u
Seriously, wow, that sucks! Thank you very much!
Awesome green! I also really like the use of small pieces of "beautiful" wood scraps. Lucky bowl winner!
Designer Epoxy
Thank you very much!
Thanks Jim. This was another wonderful piece. I really look forward to start the weekend by including watching you. Congrats on the milestone and have a great weekend brother!🍾💞
Thanks, you too!
Hi Jim. I think it's getting cold and snowy, etc..
It's getting down to a freezing 76° here in Tucson... Brrrrt, lol.
It’s actually pretty warm here today to, lol. Thanks
Another beautiful piece, a great piece of work and craftsmanship, I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one that has destroyed a glue block. Kind of makes me feel like I’m human and not all alone with that said it was interesting to see the way you fixed. It just blew it back together but like you I would’ve replaced it also. Thanks for all the great information and the great teaching that you do. Have a great day and a merry Christmas.
Designer epoxy
Thanks, you too!
I just found you the other day and I watched all of your videos and now I can't stop! I'm loving everything you make. when I watch you I feel so relaxed and fascinated. Thank you for popping into my life 😊
Wow! Welcome aboard! Thank you so much!!
Wow you go a new bright shirt! It will forever be the - B’ All Buffing 😂 - my head. Congratulation! Your channel has grown soooo much!🎉
Thank you!! 😁
Awesome!!!!!! Love the bowl and Designer Epoxy..... Can't wait to see what's next
Thank you very much!
Maybe putting a fan behind the camera will blow some dust away.
If it's not enough, then you could build a rig that would hold 2-3 smaller fans blowing at the lens from various angles.
To not create excessive noise look for silent fans.
Thank you very much!
Awesome piece. Love the box elder burl. Thanks for explaining the use of the Hercules from Hunter tools. I have one and I love it. I also got the 5/8” bowl gouge. I love it too.
That is awesome! Thanks
Amazing bowl. I think I would have done it a tad darker, more of an emerald color. Even though I don't turn, I enjoy how you show us your fixes. Makes the work worth even more.
Thank you very much!
It never ceased to amaze me how the bowls made with scraps come out so beautiful. Once that finish coat goes on they just pop. I wasn’t sure I liked mixing the resin and wood but now I really like it. I don’t turn so just watch you work because it is relaxing to watch but I have learned quite a bit. I like that you explain things. I’m subscribed because yours is one of my favorite wood turning channels.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
Beautiful green apple bowl.... Great job Jim.... Designer Epoxy
Thanks 👍
i was already impressed with this week's project ... then the footage of the bowl lit from above came up. Fantastic! As if the wood and resin weren't beautiful enough! A gorgeous piece!
Awesome, thank you!
Saturday Morning, starting with watching your new Videos, and it never gets boring. I love it. Wonderful piece this week. I love the colors
Thank you so much!
Very nice! Red and green would nice for Christmas.
Thanks for sharing! Designer epoxy
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the bowl and super love the green a true Irish color and getting quite impressed with your use of Designer Epoxy God Bless from your Canadian Friend.
Thanks so much!
It's your Wizard of Oz bowl 😁 emerald green epoxy for the city and box elder burl for the yellow brick road. Excited to see what you use the core for. Neat project 🥰
Thank you very much!
Gotta admit, the straight line wood chunks bowls are not my favorites (I'm a bigger fan of pieces with more natural-shaped and larger bits of burl in the epoxy), but man some of those burl sections in this peace are beautiful! I like this shade of green a lot.
Fair enough! Thanks!
Congratulations to the winners!!!! Really love the bowl today love the color. Have a great weekend Designer Epoxy
Thank you so much!
Absolutely gorgeous. Don't know if the different woods are showing off the resin or the other way round. Green is my favourite colour so I think it's beautiful. Best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing work, as usual! I love all of the things you've made. I especially like the high gloss finishes you apply. I imagine it has a lot of depth, too. Im sure the camera doesn’t do justice to the real thing.
Thank you so much!
Another absolutely ridiculously beautiful work of art!!! Thanks for cheering me up... designer epoxy
My pleasure! Thanks
Oh my gosh the video was extreme! It looked to be filmed up closer, was I seeing what I thought was your chisels filing away? It was so beautiful watching the color leap out at you! I love watching on my I-pad!
Yes it was, thanks!
A lot of the Turners I watch from the US use Total Boat Epoxy. Have you used that brand and prefer Designer Epoxy?
I see lots of failures with it, so no. They wanted to sponsor my channel and I passed. I’ve only use DE and that’s purely because they are located four hours away from where I live. I looked online and they had the best price so I bought a kit and after using it asked if they were interested in sponsoring my channel. I’m so glad they did! I have yet to see another epoxy that can complete with them. Thank you!
Sorry it took this long....awsome bowl Jim thank you!!! We love these videos... Keep them coming please
Thanks, will do!
Congratulations to the bowl winner. One day RUclips random picker will like me. That turned out beautiful as always you did a fantastic job. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend and until next one. Be blessed
Thank you very much!
Really nice bowl Jim. Another lucky winner actually gets to see it being made. I know that I enjoyed seeing my bowl being made. With the light in it you can see all the different layers of the burl. They are suspended in the epoxy. Very nice. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks again!
Another stunner Jim! Just gorgeous. And thx for explaining all your steps and why sometimes thing don't work as intended. You are an excellent teacher. Well done. Thx and take care.
Designer epoxy
Thank you very much!
Very lovely. It amazes me how the resin settles around the wood and makes such beautiful patterns. You make me want to learn lathe work. Of all the tools and machines my Dad had a lathe was not one of them. Beautiful work once again Jim. Thanks for brightening my day with your creativity.
Thank you so much 😊
So awesome Jim!! Gorgeous as always.
Watching from home again finally. Came home from rehab on Monday after my stroke in Sept. and wish you and your family all the best for the holiday's and always.
Welcome back! Thanks
This is a beautiful piece of art. I’m new to your channel and am looking forward to your next project. In addition to your artistic talent I also like your comments. Keep turning. 😊
Welcome aboard! Thank you very much!
This color and burl made a fantastic bowl! I love the green! I keep watching you do fantastic projects! This one is a winner!❤
Thank you so much!
(Designer Epoxy) simply gorgeous.I can't seem to get enough of these videos. thanks for you knowledge
Glad you like them! Thanks
Another beautiful piece, great use of scrap pieces. I don't think I have seen a bad color from Designer Epoxy yet!
Me neither, thanks!
One idea for the shavings on the camera. If they stick because of static, take a fabric dryer sheet, gently rub it over the camera. Then check to see if it smears the lens 😢. If not, those sheets are anti static and can be used more than once. If your wife doesn’t use them see if you can get a neighbor or friend to give you one. Instead of buying them special. Don’t try the anti static spray. A spray will probably mess up your lens. There are anti static cloths (more expensive) you can try but something you already have (or can get one of free) is always a good place to start.
Bowl came out really sweet.
Thanks for the info. I’ve used dryer sheets on shields before with limited success. Need to see if they will let leave behind any residue. Jim
I have watched different wood turning shows yours, Sprague is the best, I am from Windsor. Ontario Canada.
Awesome! Thank you very much!
I literally laughed out loud when the casting fell right out of the bucket! 😂
One of my favorite things about epoxy woodworking is being able to use all of these scraps. Such beautiful wood, it shouldn't be wasted! Thanks as always, Jim!
Thank you very much!
Very interesting and different. I look forward to your new videos on Fridays. Congratulations on reaching 110K!
Thanks so much!
A fantastic looking bowl Jim! Love the wood and colour combination. Keep the videos coming. Cheers
Thanks, will do!
So beautiful again. I actually am afraid that one day you will do something just „average.“ You really set the standards so high.
Thanks for teaching us.
Maybe one day! 😂 Thanks so much!
What an amazing piece! It really catches the eye, especially with the green and slight transparency giving it a 3d look. I have to agree with you, that burl is beautiful! Thanks for a great video and even greater to see your channel keep growing. Cheers!
Thank you so much!
Amazing. I really like the random look with the scraps. It is a beautiful piece! I have had a chance to use the Hercules I bought before my knee surgery. I am learning it but so far I am really liking it!
Great! Thank you very much!
Congratulations on 110k! Great bowl, and what a great use of cuts off / scraps.
Thank you very much!
Really like the green in this one. It compliments the box elder quite well. Very well done and congrats on your 110 Jim. Take care.
Many thanks!
