There was some great glider stuff you did years ago that was excellent watching. I'd totally love to see some more of that. That build challenge you did with David was such a fun episode. Totally worth revisiting.
Ahhh, "Flight of the Navigator" such an under rated film and featuring the great Pual (Peewee) Rubins as Max with a moniker last name because of the incident at an adult theater. 😊
That build was a LOT more stable than I was expecting. How translucent is the mylar you used to wrap the formers for the donut ring? I was wondering if LEDS would be visible through the coating
This one is amazing! Great work Gents. If you could more fully retract the gear it would look even more amazing but so fantastically fun to watch. Thank you for the work.
OMG 'Flight of the Navigator' .. Thankyou!! I remembered bits of the movie from childhood but didn't know the name of it...Yes Please do it.! Thankyou.
I would love to see a Big Klingon War Bird, I remember an episode log ago with a small Klingon War Bird, maybe it lends itself to edf's... Great Job guys
A weekly build-off of all the FT planes in order of release and then some flying challenge the team members have to do with their plane would be something I'd watch.
That was awesome! What are the chanceabilities of making one similar, but turning the back of the plane into the front? The front would be fixed with a very short nose. Turn the circle wing around putting your lift up front. Keep the left and right horizontal stabilizers and short stationery rudder in the rear. The short wheel stance stays up front as well and the rear wheel becomes a much shorter tail dragger. Oh yeah, keep it silver. I think this would make for an even more alien looking spacecraft.
Would love to see a "Zepplin-esq" version of this.....leave front and rear open.....all engines and thrust inside......control surfaces on the outside. ( think hollow flying cigar ) Keep up the awesome dream
Could you take that orbit and change out the thrust. Instead of the props could you use something like the dyson bladeless fan? And a not an impellor but an ionic pulse thruster to move the air into the output?
Rigid airship, please. Make it so that mylar party balloons fit in between the spars and those will hold your helium. It doesn't need to be fully buoyant, I would bet. In fact, it might not really need lifting gas at all. And, if it doesn't float too much, it would be able to glide.
one of you made a comment during the video about the age of zeppelins . I say do a zeplin inspired ring wing ticking most of your control surfaces towards the inner part of it
That thing would look amazballs if you painted the circular wing spars black, wired it with LEDS then covered it in a semi transparent film. in fact set LEDS into the foam of the body then film over them so they are not visible unless lit
Ok, I would love to see you guys take another try at an X-Wing! You guys did a video a long time ago, but the plane didn't fly well. So an x-wing the flies like a plane (not a quad-copter).
You guys continue to be amazing 💪. This Old Man from Washington NC enjoying with my coffee ☕. Y'all have really come a long way in building your dreams. ✈️🧔💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝
Could you guys do an informative video explaining the whole faa remote id situation and what it means right now? Keep hearing mixed things about being able to fly rc airplanes and not being able to. What does it all mean with the 250g weight limit? If i am flying under that, do i not have to worry about all of the new confusing stuff with the FAA?
it's flying so good! we'll done guys! I have suggestion about the next project... can you guys make the ship from the movie Internals... that big chip like ship😁
Couldn't you use a type of foam board that can be bent into a more organic circular shape with the use of a heat gun? Or would those types of materials be too dense or too heavy?
You guys should have an FL-XT kit build off to see who can build the biggest flying 1100kv motor build. These would need to be a similar lifting body to the flight of the navigator spaceship.
There are a number of weird, sometimes-successful aircraft from the dawn of aviation from Italy, France, Russia and Germany Maybe make a Horten HO229 bat-wing fighter, some of the ridiculous Dornier flying boats, the Stipa-Caproni, Savoia-Marchetti S.66 twin-hull, the Caproni Ca.60 Transaereo, etc.
maybe like a magneticaly locking charging cable hanging on a spool underneath a plane. the magnet on the cable could lock onto the charging port on another plane and charge it in-flight.
@FliteTest How do you decorate the planes shown? What materials did you use to decorate? I just built my first tiny trainer glider out of two pizza boxes. Use your great plans! Put two pages on one A4 sheet to scale it down. Used same build techniques, though with uhu power glue (it's what I had). Used a little tape on some key areas to strengthen. Thinking of using a school (display or teaching) though would laser cut to avoid knife use. Glides well! Would like to fly it, but inner city UK so no go 🫤. THANKS SO MUCH for all you guys do.
the circular wings look like a tortoise or snail shell if you put some eyes on the front ;) very gracile i would even fly with a bigger version of it looks pretty safe
Guys, Dr Dave nailed it, “If you can dream it you can build it”!!! Totally incredible design, flying art!!👏👏👏👏
So cool! Awesome transitions! Please build a Wright Flyer with wing warping!
There was some great glider stuff you did years ago that was excellent watching. I'd totally love to see some more of that. That build challenge you did with David was such a fun episode. Totally worth revisiting.
AliANsE ArE REaL!🛸🛸
i love your videos, im trying to buy a build your own plane and i just dont know what to choose for the power pack/battery etc.
The transitions in this episode are top tier, great job FT
Ahhh, "Flight of the Navigator" such an under rated film and featuring the great Pual (Peewee) Rubins as Max with a moniker last name because of the incident at an adult theater. 😊
Wow, very cool! You should make the front gear retract like the Rutan Long-EZ, there is plenty of fuselage for it to tuck into.
Did the landspeeder ever work with people in it?
Final chapters in completion of land speeder are in the works now. Really cool stuff coming up.
I'd love to see you try make a flying aircraft carrier again.😄 Thanks for the videos!
That build was a LOT more stable than I was expecting. How translucent is the mylar you used to wrap the formers for the donut ring? I was wondering if LEDS would be visible through the coating
You all should try to make a flying DeLorean from "Back to the Future"
Dude at this point you are the gods of foam planes
You certainly should have added LEDs inside the ring...... full on UFO look!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, you guys are my favorite RUclips channel!
Is that a low temperature Mono- Kote like film you are using?
Awesome ship! Y'all should revisit the Heli-Carrier! But make it bigger!
I use drywall screws installed with a screw driver to hold various foam sheet’s together while the glue sets, remove after the glue cures!
I would love to see the Sea Duck come back in some fashion.
Doing minis again would be awesome. Maybe some 3d printed versions as well?
Build a SIMITAR! Although I may be biased. See the Simitar thread under flying wings in RC Groups!
This one is amazing! Great work Gents. If you could more fully retract the gear it would look even more amazing but so fantastically fun to watch. Thank you for the work.
That is outstanding, you need to cover it in LED's. Great work everyone
OMG 'Flight of the Navigator' .. Thankyou!! I remembered bits of the movie from childhood but didn't know the name of it...Yes Please do it.! Thankyou.
I was surprised just how nervous Bixler was to fly this, Yall crushed it!
Thank You!!! There were a lot of unknows 🤣
I'm really digging your Iron Giant, and great content!
y'all need a modest size little steel building for these bigger projects. love the design of the orbit
Now that's just cool! Very nice build, guys.
Make a flight of the navigator ship like my boy brought up..!!!!!💯🔥🔥
You guys should do a larger version of the twin sparrow, or an xl sparrow. Maybe using the electronic parts from the booming flerken.
Reminds me of the box kites I flew when was much younger.
RC Battlefield with the mighty minis and the zepplin: part II
Would love to see a "Zepplin-esq" version of this.....leave front and rear open.....all engines and thrust inside......control surfaces on the outside. ( think hollow flying cigar )
Keep up the awesome dream
Please, do a Monster Spitfire build and fly video. That would be amazing to watch. Monster Series is great!
FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG YESSSSSS PLEASE!!!!!!!
That's awesome, could you get one of the drones to fly through the ring mid flight 🤔
How about having another go at the marvel shield carrier with landing on it
Could you take that orbit and change out the thrust. Instead of the props could you use something like the dyson bladeless fan? And a not an impellor but an ionic pulse thruster to move the air into the output?
I was hoping that you could help me find which box/ package has the wood screws, x-mount and smaller screws on the DH.98 Mosquito bundle
You guys should become chiropractors with that snap at 2:35!
I would love to see a flerkin with a completely pointy knose. See if the speed and aerodynamics would improve.
Reminds me of the Starfield star born ship
Best glue for foam is: FOAM FUSION
Cheers
Oh that was awesome!!!! It seems very stable in flight. Great job!!!
Rigid airship, please. Make it so that mylar party balloons fit in between the spars and those will hold your helium. It doesn't need to be fully buoyant, I would bet. In fact, it might not really need lifting gas at all. And, if it doesn't float too much, it would be able to glide.
Great Job! Next generation use 3 of pods and vtol no landing gear.
one of you made a comment during the video about the age of zeppelins . I say do a zeplin inspired ring wing ticking most of your control surfaces towards the inner part of it
That Flew Awesome Guys... Woo Hoo...!!!
Did you reverse the air foil on the lower half of the circle to have the lift the same as the upper half? It is an amazing site flying.
That thing would look amazballs if you painted the circular wing spars black, wired it with LEDS then covered it in a semi transparent film. in fact set LEDS into the foam of the body then film over them so they are not visible unless lit
Ok, I would love to see you guys take another try at an X-Wing!

ruclips.net/user/shortsk0mtCcfsMW0?si=SQmzzy7wUrt2RH4v
I've made one, but would love to challenge you guys to build one (or a fleet) too!
I always wanted a R/C skydiver. With drones now aways it should be easier to do.
Whatever happened with the Iron Vulture from Tale Spin you guys were working on?
You guys continue to be amazing 💪. This Old Man from Washington NC enjoying with my coffee ☕. Y'all have really come a long way in building your dreams. ✈️🧔💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝

That Blender needs to be revisited. An XL size would equally be nice.
Why didn't you use a lifting airfoil on the circular wing?
it's flying so good! we'll done guys! I have suggestion about the next project... can you guys make the ship from the movie Internals... that big chip like ship😁
Couldn't you use a type of foam board that can be bent into a more organic circular shape with the use of a heat gun? Or would those types of materials be too dense or too heavy?
That was fantastic!
Back to the older one part videos awesome
You guys should have an FL-XT kit build off to see who can build the biggest flying 1100kv motor build.
These would need to be a similar lifting body to the flight of the navigator spaceship.
How did Flite Test determine the the lift??? 👍✈️👍
Now I have to find Flight of the Navigator and rewatch it after all this time!
That was a Great movie!
It would be cool to have another Star Wars project again
Amazing😃👌 I think Skunk Works at Area 51 is going to have to pay you money for this aircraft design.
Cool. Although I wish they focused more on consumer builds
Needs a handle on the back so you can use it for an air scooter like those underwater scooters.
You should enlarge some more EZ birds, like the Hornet.
Don't know if you've done it before but how about an actual flying saucer?
Does the aura work for quads too?
WAY too Cool guys !
Does it have to fly tail heavy? Looks like a big Pacifier
Wicked ship!! Flies beautiful :D How about an Arkanstol FPV game/competition? :D
you should try make a way to in-flight charge another rc plane.
maybe like a magneticaly locking charging cable hanging on a spool underneath a plane. the magnet on the cable could lock onto the charging port on another plane and charge it in-flight.
You guys need a crane to lower big modles over the balcony...
Pretty awesome. I love seeing how excited you guys get when these crazy planes work!
Never gets old. :)
Do Lone Star's flying Winnebago 😁😁
Amazing video lots of love
Congrats 👍
Hope Josh is feeling better! He was looking really green in the title pic
Love it guys, great job!!
When are you going to make another video about the hovercraft
Hover craft is coming back brother! Exciting episodes ahead. :)
So it’s a ducted fan with a wing around it?
if they make the ship from that movie they should invite captain disillusion for the flight
This is amazing
Now it's time to go with a faster motor. 😁
@FliteTest How do you decorate the planes shown? What materials did you use to decorate?

Your nose landing well clasped on one wrong nose down landing or hole on grass landing.
I want to see Cleatus McFarland drive the speeder around the freedom factory.
We do to! Maybe we can help make that happen :-)
How about y’all resurrect one your first giant builds? I’m thinking… the fowl flyer? 😉
Mount some full auto nerf guns to a plain. And strafe a nerf battle. I think that could be fun.
couldnt you make it take of and land vertically and lose the landing gear
does the flite test shop ship to nz?
the circular wings look like a tortoise or snail shell if you put some eyes on the front ;) very gracile i would even fly with a bigger version of it looks pretty safe
That was cool
