In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

As a guy, I really appreciate her stating the importance of men and dads. Men need women, women need men, and children need BOTH parents. There's a reason both men and women exist.

I am just speechless after reading her books. I don’t know what will be the proper praise her. I respect her so much. She changed my notions about female and this book gives me lots of answer about female and finally I am convinced and got fully mental satisfaction.

It is refreshing to listen to a contemporary academic scientist not attempting to disprove the obvious.

While you're at it you should read Fine's book "Delusions of Gender" which in Chapter 14 offers a concise and damning critique of Brizendine's misrepresentation of scientific literature.

At 6:43, after describing how girls and boys play differently, she says "No one's taught these children at 3, 4, 5, 6 to do that". That's not true! They've already had years of exposure to culture and it's many ways of marking binary gender roles.

This is still very controversial since many other scientists have argued that there really is not a whole lot of differences between men and women and we’re more alike than different. Since we are of the same species after all.

@@willnill7946 humans have instinctual need to think of things in binary terms. Do all "male brains" function the same? Do all "female brains" function the same? Are the differences between the sexes greater than within the sexes? In the end we are humans capable of independent thoughts and we know the world isn't a simple binary system of pink and blue
