- Finally recovering from our DIY project of stripping our 90-year-old beams (watch the video if you haven’t yet • RESTORING 90-YEAR-OLD ... ) now its finally time to start decorating so I am pulling out all the vintage art that I have been collecting for our gallery wall and taking a shopping trip to find some finishing pieces - throws, pillows and hopefully a new RUG!

I’m so glad Kinsley is okay ❤
I’m traumatised myself over Kinsley! My own dog jumped into the river at a dangerous spot some months ago and got out again fine. But the fear of her being swept away literally gave me nightmares for a few weeks after, and I haven’t been near that area since. I could feel your terror and it’s later that the real panic sets in. But all’s well that ends well ❤
Romeo, sudoko!
Ok dad! 😅
Thank God, she wasn't harmed. My Aunt's backyard is a hill and she had coyotes in her yard too. Until she had the city put fencing on the back of her metal gate so nothing can go through.
Omg sorry, I didn’t realise I had commented on a post about kinsley (obs glad the lil baby is safe) I thought I had just left an independent comment
@@laurafisher6531he is sooo ready to be a dad 😂
Get Kinsley chipped with a tracker, don't wait. Keep in mind that coyote was VERY comfortable there, and he knows the lay of the land better than you do. It's spring and they have puppies to feed. Don't let her out early a.m. or after 4p.m. without you. You being close enough to see her just means you're close enough to see them take her. They're faster that you. Much, much faster.
Oh gosh. This is so scary
Who else has been waiting all afternoon for this?
its morning here in nz and i was refreshing and going to insta waiting lol
It's past midnight in Greece and I was too waiting!!!
I have also! Lol
Me too me too!!
Me😊
A bunch of us were worried about coyotes in one of your recent videos. I read that coyotes can jump an 8 foot fence and can use their hind legs to climb even taller fences. They can also dig under fencing. Coyotes are very smart so sadly it’s not going to be safe for Kinsley to be out there alone. Glad you got out there in time and that both of you are okay.
Yep, coyotes are really good at getting into a yard over and under fencing. My heart felt like it stopped during that story, my fur baby is next to me and I had to give him a hug!! I don’t let him out off leash unless I am right there because although he is a small Yorkiepoo, he thinks he is a lion! He has zero fear and when he was a puppy, I had to literally dive between him and a full grown German Shepherd because he was running toward him barking and growling. Thank goodness the Shepherd was a neighbor’s dog and he knew me!! He backed away pretty quickly and wasn’t aggressive toward my little upstart, but a hungry coyote wouldn’t back off and they are fast! When I lived in the canyon in Los Angeles way back when, my neighbor lost both of her small dogs to coyotes before she could get her patio door open and get outside. She was devastated. She put barbed wire rolls like they have on prison fencing on the top of her fence (it was a 7 foot privacy fence that she thought would be safe). She wrapped greenery around it so it didn’t look like a prison fence and it kept them out of her yard.
@@foxymama2003 One of the most aggressive dog (toward other dogs) I knew was a cockapoo. He would sit in his front yard and if a big dog stepped one foot in that yard, Barnaby would race over barking and growling. He was a perfectly nice dog in general, but he was very territorial. And a dog trainer once told us that Jack Russells are like that -- I dog sat 2 Jack Russells and they had our 2 big labs completely cowed.
There are these things called coyote rollers that you can put at the top of the fence that dont allow the coyotes to grip the top of the fence to get over. I would recommend that she look into them
😮omg that is scary
@@jessicaanniamthis so scary 😢. What could she do then? Please tell me there is a safe way to have Kinsley there
Romeo: “Why are they all crying? Get ‘Em a tissue!” 😂🤣😂🤣😂
I’m so glad Kinsley is ok. Mama bear instinct - you knew when you needed to check on her. Hope you find the perfect rug soon. 😊
Your momma instincts are on point, from feeling like you need to go check on her to picking her up and not backing down. That's what we do. I'm so glad Kinsley is living her best life, she brings so much to all our lives as well as all your decorating content. Stay safe little fam! 💖
So glad little Kinsley is okay.
You should thin your limes/lemons! They compete for nutrients when they grow in bunches on the same branch. If you thin those down to one, you’ll have bigger, juicer fruit when you harvest
That. And it will be less likely that any of the limbs will break under the weight.
Kinsley getting the painters tape off of your arm for you was so cute!
Okay one more comment: the ebb and flow between you and your honey is a lesson on how to co create with one another. There is such give and take, support and trust. Truly an example of how to love and like someone through the years.
You two are definitely fun to watch! It just makes me smile! 😊
Sometimes I watch Kinsley in the video so I have to go back and actually watch you!
Kinsley trying to get the blue thing in the beginning makes me happy. She is so cute!
I do the exact same thing. Sometimes I’m so distracted by Kinsley that I don’t hear a word McCenna says. I have done this so many times I’ve lost count. 😅
Me too, I find myself having to “rewind” to hear what McCenna actually said! 😂🤣
Kinsley tryin' to get that piece of bluetape....hilarious! What a sweet doggo!
I am so glad Kinsley is OK! My little dog was grabbed by a coyote. It grabbed her by the neck. Fortunately, I startled it and by the grace of God my little Bella was able to get away! She did have puncture wounds that had to be treated by the vet. It was an eye-opener for me as well! I completely know how you feel! Keep in mind coyotes can dig! You’ll want to make sure your fencing is a foot deep. Coyotes can leap as high as 14 feet!
Gosh this is so scary. I can't. So glad your baby is safe❤
Yes! Diamond rug in the living room! It’s so pretty and the room gets more visibility than the guest room. Can the icy rug go in the guest room? Maybe with some icy accessories? Everything is looking beautiful. The gallery wall will be so lovely. There are so many ways to do it. The one I’m working on have art of all sizes, from small to oversized. It’s a very fun work in progress.
You can not understand how much I love your videos
omg youre so sweet!
I think that big oval painting would look stunning above that big sidetable. And then the two lamps left and right of it.
Also super happy to see Romeo, he has a great vibe 👍🏻
We are all glad your okay Kinsley. ❤
I call the agapanthus my 4th of July flowers. They always bloom by the 4th and look like little fireworks 🎆😊
The house is coming along beautifully, and you are so inspiring! So glad Kinsley is safe! Coyotes can jump 8 ft and scale higher than 8 ft. using there back legs. They’re very crafty. We live in Southeastern Ohio where they are plentiful, and I’m paranoid with my little dogs, especially in the evening and during coyote breeding season.
I can attest to what you are saying because I have seen a coyote jump an 8 ft fence. They don’t necessarily want to engage with people, but if they are hungry enough they will venture into populated areas.
Yes, we had one walking boldly down our sidewalk, 4pm…neighbours cat went missing that night.
Your Mom’s art is so beautiful! Have you considered a gallery of just her pieces?
That's what I'd do. I'm doing a gallery wall or walls of my photography!
Oh no…I’m so sorry about the coyote scare. They are so bold and brazen where I live. Hawks and owls, too. I’m so glad you went out when you did. Whew. Too close for comfort!❤
Oh thank goodness You and Kinsley are safe!!! Your story brought back memories of losing my cat to a coyote a few years ago. No one should have to go through that! Thank you for your videos, you helped me through another difficult week in the hospital, again. Your sweet outlook and attitude towards everything is so refreshing. Thank you, truly!
I couldn't even walk into one of those places, knowing for sure I wouldn't spend what they want for things. It gives you so many more options when you can afford to go to those places. You cannot EVER leave her outside alone even for a second. The coyotes are braver now and will come into your yard at any time of day!!! Please keep her in and maybe even on a leash outside. And no fence is tall enough for protection.
Thank goodness Kinsley is OK!! Looking forward to seeing the living room finished, you guys have work so hard on it.
I’m so glad Kensley is ok. Bless your heart. That was so scary. I think we all would have just lost it if something had happened to her. Good job mama bear!
Loved yours snd Romeo’s reactions to the neighbor kids’ lemonade stand. How cute! You’re going to be the best parents. Love you both.
MaCenna soo many viewers told you about coyotes and to not let her outside on her own and not to be on her own around the pool, BUT you didn’t listen which made us mad. You have learned the hard way and Thank God you checked her just at that moment! 🙏
This!! She got so many warnings about coyotes, large birds, and other wildlife. I was surprised she continued letting Kinsley roam outside, especially with her being such a tiny and vulnerable pup..
I'm so glad you were there to rescue Kinsley!!!.
I'm glad Kinsley is ok. The coyotes can easily scale 6' fences and carry their prey with them. I think you really will have to always go outside with her to keep her safe.
You’ve influenced my interior design style so much lately 😆 Why am I looking for moody paintings, gold frames, pottery, French country vintage decor etc. 😂
hahahahahha :)
OMG me too
Flower painting goes to bedrooms and landscape and nautical theme goes to living room.
My choice for living room is art from my travels.
I love your taste and waiting for new renovation acts ❤
Watching all your videos.😊
Hello from Greece.
Same
Oh I'm glad I'm not the only one..I have gold, brass, vintage, moody and even using Tudor brown for around windows, crown moulding, closet door and light color for walls 😮
MaCenna style..
I made an audible GASP when you said Coyote! Holy ISH. I am so glad she’s ok. I love her so much!❤
I can't imagine Sweet Kinsley gone! She is the sweetest. I can't wait to see the living room done.
MaCennaaaa!! I've been watching youtube for YEARS and just got into your videos a few months ago and you are BY FAR one of my favorite RUclipsrs... I get genuine joy when I see you've uploaded on either channel. You're such a kind, genuine, and infectious soul. Thank you for allowing us into your day to day
Same 🧡
Same ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Romeo is so funny!!! You are by far my favorite RUclipsr. I absolutely love your style.
Macenna, the rug you like in the inspo pic is from Rush House. We used them in a client's home and they're lovely. They're also relatively affordable!
Ugh, I’m so glad you got to Kinsley in time. Such a good mama!
McCenna you can get a trail cam that sends you alerts 🚨 if they capture movements. Then you can know if they are still coming into your yard. I’m so glad Kinsley is safe!
I went camping 🏕️ at the Grand Canyon and a Coyote passed ~20 feet away from my campsite with my child sitting in the car! I have never been so scared! My child was clueless to any threat.
Can’t wait till your kids have a lemonade stand in front of your house. So cute.
I’m so relieved to hear Kinsley’s ok. I can’t even imagine what you felt.
So glad Kinsley is okay. Have you ever seen a coyote jacket for dogs? It has spikes on it to prevent a coyote attack. I know it would be inconvenient for everyday use, but I do know people who put them on their dog for hiking.
I love the vibe of MaCenna’s videos so much. It’s like FaceTiming with a close friend. So wholesome.
I bought a medium-sized rug around 24 years ago, which cost me just shy of $1000.00, the most I had ever paid for a rug! BUT it is still in pristine condition, and it is now in its second home. Despite being in a high foot traffic area, it shows absolutely no signs of wear and tear. Sometimes you just have to buy higher quality so it lasts.
I felt sick when you told your horror story about Kingsley and the coyote! I have an 11 year old chihuahua and love her to bits. I worry that she will get taken by large birds of prey here in Australia. I always accompany her outside in the daytime. I'm so glad your little girl is safe 💕 Fabulous video MaCenna. Thank you.
Thank goodness Kinsley is ok!!! ❤ we love you Kinsley 🥰❤️
I am happy Kinsley is happy and safe !!❤
We're so glad Kinsley is safe. If those were your "Kinsley instincts," your sweet little "mini McKenna/Romeo" instincts are going to be phenomenal.
The common name for agapanthus is Lily of the Nile, always with the blue flowers. You’re so lucky to be able to grow this in CA!!
Agapanthus originate from South Africa so they thrive in hot climates but weirdly they also do really well in Ireland where it rains a lot. They are very hardy plants.
Urgh it’s arguably one of New Zealand’s most visible invasive weeds, major threat to our native Fauna, some councils list it as a pest species, the fact it’s so hard to eradicate makes others wary of taking it on,You guys enjoy it tho!
That green velvet bed is my dream bed, omg. As for the coyote, we have a blind senior dachsund who has been getting stared down by a local fox and we discovered the other day that it's a family of foxes living in our backyard. So we've kept a very watchful eye over him lately, especially after dask and right after dawn. So glad Kinsley is okay!
MaCenna, have you ever looked into an art track? If not, you attach it on your wall and there are wires that come down and you can adjust the art left/right and up and down. You can paint or stain and it comes in many colors/finishes. This way you never have to put holes in your walls, especially if you want to add art to your walls. Could be a game changer for you. Love what you are doing.
I am so happy that Kinsley is OK that reminds me how much we love our pets I literally put myself in danger to protect my Yorkie from two pit bulls, it haunts me to this day because we both could’ve been gone. God took that situation over that day.
Oohhh goodness I'm so glad your sweet girl is OK!! I can't imagine! On A lighter side..Romeo cracking that joke about feeding the crying rugs had me in tears😂 Can't wait to see the front room on Tuesday, I know she's gonna be stunning!!😊
So glad that Romeo (his sprain ankle) & Kinsley are okay! It’s nice seeing both of y’all silly sides around each other other 😊
We are all also glad that Kinsley wasn't coyote dinner. We(I) would also love a secret garden tour!
Happy Sunday Everyone 🎉 time to enjoy a little MaCenna ❤
MaCenna, you are such a brave momma! Perhaps put an air tag on Kinsley. Absolutely fix your fencing and remember this experience when you have children. We have coyotes here in Ohio and I always potty our fur babies well before complete darkness because you are right they will come and snatch your fur baby so quickly. Kinsley is SO lucky she has such an attentive momma. Maybe you could electrify your fencing too and add an additional layer of protection. Once the coyote gets zap a few times (maybe even once) they will avoid your home. Once you start entertaining outside it will also protect you and your guests. Thank God Kinsley is safe!!❤
Kinsley playing with the tape made me smile!
👋me! I look forward to MaCenna on Tuesday,Thursday and Sunday but also her pod cast! If you haven’t watched her podcast it’s a must! She posts it on RUclips as well to give us options. She is amazing!!
Precious little Kinsley! Thank goodness for your quick reflexes. I am so glad nothing happened. Fix your fence and fast. You are amazing, look forward to every video!
I live in Southern California too and back up onto a canyon . We put up a snake fence as well as razor tops on our fence and had never had a issue of them coming into the yard. We also put in a huge dog run on the side of the house with a inclosed top so he would be safe. I also don’t let Chester go out after dusk unless we are right there. So happy Kingsley was ok, I would literally die if something happened to my baby. 🌺
My heart sank hearing about that horrible situation. Ugh, Kingsley is precious.
Oh My God, the coyote encounter is so frightening! We have cougars where I live and I never let my dog out in the backyard without me being there. I am so glad that your instinct kicked in and you got to her in time! Give her extra loves from me!💗🐾
Our newspaper delivery person was put on a new route. He’s goodbye letter to us was so sweet, but then came the whammy! He said he sees coyotes in our driveways, by our doors, in our yards, etc. while he does his route and begged us not to leave our pets outside to possibly be someone’s dinner. I’m all about the big picture of the “Circle of Life” until it involves my pets.
So glad Kinsleys okay. What a wild experience! We love you and hope you guys stay safe and healthy and happy! ❤
romeo filming and commentating is KILLING me haha its the best
I’m so happy nothing happened to Kinsley. We definitely become a momma bear when it comes to the ones we love.
Really enjoyed going rug shopping with you and Romeo. He's a lot of fun! Thanks for taking us along and into Arhaus with you. So much inspiration to be found in stores like this where you might not be able to afford much. And it's great training for recognizing great quality knock-offs and dupes when you find them.
Can't wait for the big reveal on Tuesday! It will be exciting to see you show us the final look after we watch you working to get it there. And I'm definitely intrigued about the mystery DIY project - my guess is you couldn't find the sort of decorative brackets for your staircase stringer you had in your mind, so drew yourself a pattern and cut them yourself with a jigsaw! And then painted and installed them! Probably something else completely! 🤣
Hope you're enjoying that beautiful pool! I miss having one and I'd be in there every day! 🩷
As soon as I hear that intro music, I just get a big old cheesy smile on my face and sing every word.
Feeling the vibes, yesterday in the South Texas heat I sanded and stained my headboard and dresser. So happy ❤ and really sore. I love Kingsley portrait your mom is so talented.
Omg Macenna!! The coyote story had me tearing up. I too saved my little mini poodle from a coyote a year and a half ago here in FL. I turned the corner looking for her and there was one coming up quietly behind her while the other waited in the street. Mama Bear took over and I charged right at it screaming and waving my hands over my head and they took off. I was unwell for a few days after. My parents neighbor caught it all on camera. The PTSD I have from that is REAL! Now every time I go to my parents house I make someone go outside with me at night to take the pups potty. I keep her on a leash so I have control of where she goes. It’s SO scary- I’m so relieved Kinsley is ok ❤
I'm so glad Kingsley is okay. Those things happen so fast.
I saw so many YT comments mentioning coyotes since you got the California house, only outside together from now on. 🥰
I'm so glad kinsley and you are ok!!!!!!!!!
As a mum to 3 dogs (a Collie/Westie & 2 Westie-poos) and an animal lover in general. My heart raced while listening to you retelling that nightmare. I most definitely recommend getting her chipped, and with a tracker. You can even get cameras that attach to her collar... I can imagine how scary that was for both of you. She is just so precious, and we all love her, and im so glad she's ok
🤍🐾🩷
And can i just say how freaking much Romeo made me laugh while you were rug shopping. "Why are they crying?, get em' a tissue" 🤣🤣🤣
I’m so excited to see the front room video on Tuesday! So sorry to hear about your scare with the coyote-I would be equally traumatized-and I’m so glad you’re both safe. You might also consider snakes and keeping Kingsley safe from them too.
Loving all the beautiful frames and art. Rugs are so hard for me until you find the one and then it changes everything❤
Henry is doing a great job, the pool looks marvelous! Glad Kinsley is alright. It’s a good idea you have to keep her out of that area and safe.
Thank goodness you went to get Kinsley when you did. It can happen so fast. MaCenna can't wait for Tuesday. Definitely take care of that fence issue. Your pool looks incredible. See you soon 💞💕💓🤗💓💕💞 hug that precious baby girl for me please
Your instinct to pause your talk with your mom to check up on kinsley?! The timing?! I’m so glad nothing happened or will happen in the future!!! On a happier note, I’m excited to see this Tuesday’s video!
I'm so glad Kinsley is safe. A friend of mine has a catio for her cat when it wants to be outside. The catio has sides and a top. That way her cat can enjoy nature and be safe. I've had daytime encounters with coyotes. When they are afraid of thunder, or loud sounds, they will come out of their dens and run around. They will also come out when they are very hungry. I would make a "dogio" for Kinsley. You've got the skills to make a fabulous one.
Your videos make me so happy! It was sweet seeing Romeo in the vlog! And omg Kingsley 🥺
Also, there’s this mobile game called “Redecor” super fun!
Omg, I was going to tell you when you let her outside that theres probably coyotes in CA, thank god you got her in time, they can jump fences and nab pet very quick....gwen
I'm glad you got to your doggy in in time
I remember when you first got the house, a lot of people were warning you about the possibility of wild animals jumping over and harming your dog. I am glad that nothing bad happened and I am also thankful that others raised their concerns and tried to warn you in the past. Hopefully, you can find alternatives to letting little Kinsley run free but in a safe wayy :)
I am glad Kinsley is ok I just wish Macenna had've took everyone's concerns seriously prior to this incident... I saw so many warnings in comments on past videos
Omg glad kinsley is ok ❤
Oh my goodness, that coyote story is terrifying!! And you are soooooo lucky - a few seconds later and you would have been too late!! That coyote knows Kingsley is there now, and they can climb and dig. So even with fixing the fence, I would still keep her on a lead outside at all times and stay with her as you can never be too safe. But I’m so so so glad you got to her in time.
My heart dropped thinking about Kinsley .......😮. Sooo glad she's ok. Take care of our baby. Hope you are ok too MaCenna bc if I feel like this hearing about it I know how you feel living through it
Macenna, I’m so sorry you had such a scare with Kinsley and I’m relieved she is ok! I live on a farm and had a similar situation with 3 coyotes and our old farm dog. It’s terrifying - and Kinsley is so tiny.
I just love your vlogs, your sunny attitude and hard work that creates so much beauty. Thanks for sharing!
Hii Macenna! If you love the pattern on your current living room rug, you can always think about dying it a colour that suits the room better. You can let someone do it for you or do it yourself with a textile dye!
I am so glad that Kinsley is okay. My heart dropped when I heard that story, I hope everyone's okay too ❤
❤🐾🐾❤️🙏🏻Praise the Lord Kingsley is okay! I also wanted to say that your videos are awesome, it shows how much time & effort that you put into your videos! Love the music & the time you put into making a good shot. ❤
Ive changed all my home decor because I've always had a taste for vintage items but didn't know how to style it much. Now im learning as im watching all your videos 💜
Oh my God Kinsley! I gasped right out loud when you were telling that story!😮 I'm so glad for you both that everything turn out alright ❤ I would have had nightmares too!
The gallery wall will look amazing above the stairs!
Thank God Kinsley is okay. I cannot imagine. Thank goodness you knew to go check on her when you did!
I've been watching you transform your Texas cottage and now your California home. You are amazing and give me inspiration to tackle projects in my own 70 year old home (very small and simple projects of course). I love that you've created a pleasing environment that suits you rather than following trends. I tend to do the same. I like what I like and surround myself with what I like and mostly from estate sales (lol). I have the most fun and luck at estate sales because you are shopping people's treasures as opposed to people's cast offs at garage sales. Estate sales is the best kept secret!!
It's so sweet that you've bought lemonade from the stand. You and Romeo are both so kind ❤
Seriously, it makes the kids' day when someone actually buys!
Thank goodness Kinsley is okay! ♥ Whew!! Good that you are now prepared and taking precautions.
And thank you for another interesting and fun vlog. I hope you find your perfect rug. I'm so excited for the reveal on Tuesday!
Sending kisses for your sweet fur-baby. ♥♥♥
Yay was hoping you’ve uploaded sth new i could watch before going to sleep 🫶🏼 in Germany it’s already 11:25pm
Love what you do. Glad Kinsley is ok.❤
OMG _ Mama instinct that you needed to find Kinsley! Whew! Can't wait to see the living room!
So happy Kinsley is okay. I always love to see her running around in your videos. Coyotes can indeed jump. They jump the 6 foot block walls here in AZ to go after outdoor pets all the time.
OMG do any of you folks Mark Your Territory with Human pee because it Works with Wolves 😮 in the Wild
Why😢 spread so much Fear as animals are being victimized by these fires & natural disasters 😮 as well as builders pushing into forest areas for Greed sake as it's all part of understanding animals & humans co existing.
Fear doesn't fix the problem of educating ourselves about the best ways to deal with situations like this by establishing healthy protwctive boundaries by understanding rather than by pushing fear buttons by knowing how to actually ask those who deal with animals how to protect Ourselves, even from stray hungry frightened dogs on the hunt for survival reasons ...who've also lost their homes & Families it's a subject worth talking about wherever we Live North, South, East or West..Here in Seattle we have to protect our little fur balls from eagles swooping down 😮 Animals are approaching humans because their environments have been threatened & they've also been Left seeking Love & Help from the humans they too if old enough to know it's scary for there survival but situations are happening where it's more common then it used to be. Ask any Local agencies that rescue Animals How is the Best Way to keep our Loved Ones Safe and still Help wildlife.😮😢❤
I've see gallery walls done with interesting mirrors and blank frames amongst framed paintings. Looks pretty cool.
