I've been taping my regulator hose on for months now and with lots of rain lately, the tape isn't holding up in the humidity. This was so incredibly helpful my car is finally running well again! THANK YOU!
Mine's cracking, around the rubber lines/seals, pretty sure it's what set off my p1441 code, I had broken a peice of dry vacuum tubing and "fixed" it by putting in new vacuum line. I broke it while doing the LIM gaskets, 2 years ago. Now my janky repair has finally caught up with me, because that line is now dry rotten and cracking, causing a vacuum leak. Thanks for the part number and helpful video.
Haha. I feel parts should all have a label or number on them to be able to look them up and confirm you've the right thing. Some do, but most like this you're stuck using hand gestures and smoke signals trying to explain what you need to a teenage counter boy at the parts store. I mean pictures help, but if they don't know what it's called, now both of you are acting out a play for the manager trying to figure it out.
Thank you almost Elvis daily spent several hours trying to look for this part went to an auto store of course didn't know what I was talking about even after showing. Feeling like I was on my own with this one. Appreciate you taking the time save me a lot of trouble
So thankful I found this video. My vacuum harness is being held together by gorilla tape at the moment. Thank you for making this video with a great video title. This helped me confirm the exact part I need.
Read in your comments where you got the gas cap loose alert . So this is not the fix for that problem? Did you go back and change the gasket and put a new lock ring on the fuel pump mount?
My Buick only really cranks until I stomp on the gas then it starts up. I can hear air but can’t locate it. I’ve changed the part you’re talking bout though. Any help?
I literally can’t find this part to order it because I don’t know the official name and all the search results are pulling up parts that don’t go with my car. What is that part called?
My little rubber piece that connects the 2 hoses to the nipple part, broke, do any auto stores sell the rubber pieces individually, or would I have to get a new harness altogether?
I did replace the purge valve relay. The car ran fine Anytime I added gas the car was hard to start. By “adding gas” I mean even a gallon or 15 gallons. Once the car did start it was fine until I added gas the next time. Once I replaced the purge valve I never had that problem again. Thanks for asking.
@@badejenkins ok cool...I sought a 2002 LeSabre for my son, and it won't start. If it does, only if I floor the gas pedal and keep pumping it while running. Soni just didn't know how much the purge valve affected it running before trying to change the fuel pump if I really don't have to. Other than that, it runs fine.
Don’t top off If you top off regularly the purge valve will go bad If you stop topping off the purge valve will last a life time. Once the pump stops just hang her up Don’t try to get another gallon or two in the tank or it will eventually make the purge valve to go bad.
I cant seem to find the exact piece for my 2002 park Avenue and it has the same engine as this one so it should be the same length and match up? What u think?
I have a 2005 buick lesabre, what is the part number to the part? I sometimes hear a clicking noise out of the engine bay when vehicle is running. thanks
.ok would that keep car from running. My Runs and stop on me ok .I change out my fuel pump ok .it runs for a little bit and stop on me.okHi like know what to due ok
My car was not misfiring but I did notice power loss and did research to find out that a loss in fuel pressure could cause my symptoms so I found this vacuum assembly and it was actually snapped off but my Buick was still running but this stopped the small vacuum leak ECL that I was getting.
1989 lesabre same for me, i replaced fuel pump and it got better for a while and now is back again giving me trouble. I would recommend oem fuel pump. A mechanic friend recommended to also replace the fuel rail, and I replaced the fuel line last year.
I don’t understand your question but this fix will restore pressure to the fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator if maybe you have a check engine code 0422. Sounds like you might have a fuel pressure regulator leak or a fuel line leak. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Just wanted to add something here. After obviously fixing the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator I was still getting the dreaded “gas cap loose” warning but no CEL. I had replaced the fuel pump sending unit assembly and had used the old gasket and old lock ring earlier because the new one I bought did not come with the replacement seals. Soooo I decided to replace the lock ring and seal with new ones and I will update later to see if this actually fixes the dreaded “gas cap loose” warning. You live and learn.
@@badejenkins The Fuel Regulator For these are on Recall for All Delphi OEM by buick free of charge , I too replaced The Sending Unit , Starter , ECT Sensor , Cluster , and take the car for it's recall for the FPR because it was slow to crank ,and cut off after 8 miles and sounds like it wants to back -fire just know there is a Re-call on these Fuel Pressure Regulators with Buick
@@badejenkins Were you getting a stall after a warm start? My car starts/runs perfectly cold but I have to start it twice when already warm. I heard this could be the problem if that actual FPR valve is bad but haven't checked for leaks in that line yet. I have no codes stored.
You may want to check your fuel purge valve. Is it hard to start after filling the fuel? Purge valve is located on top of the motor under the plastic shroud. The vacuum lines being replaced in this video brought back pressure to the fuel rail without pressure the motor just sucks it out of the fuel rail instead of it being pressurized and pushed into the motor.

Thank you man I had mines to snap on me and needed to learn how to put on a replacement and it was a big help seeing this

Thanks for the info. I broke this damn thing replacing the thermostat last night. Had to glue it back on to get it going for now.

My Buick only really cranks until I stomp on the gas then it starts up. I can hear air but can’t locate it. I’ve changed the part you’re talking bout though. Any help?
Putting the gas down disables the injectors and puts the car in flood mode, if it starts in flood mode there is excess gas in the combustion chamber

May have to go to a junkyard, those little rubber Ts are discontinued so they dont sell them
Have you ever had to replace the purge valve relay? And if so, what problems was it giving you that helped you come to that conclusion?

Hi I sent you comment on my car ok
You may want to check your fuel purge valve.
Is it hard to start after filling the fuel?
Purge valve is located on top of the motor under the plastic shroud.
The vacuum lines being replaced in this video brought back pressure to the fuel rail without pressure the motor just sucks it out of the fuel rail instead of it being pressurized and pushed into the motor.
Talk louder dammit
