    This is how all instructional videos should be. Less talk, and more doing. The little bit of talk should be a little louder, but turn up the volume, hey!

    Did you use actually motor oil or fuel as lube?

    • @MegaMilesBen
      @MegaMilesBen  Месяц назад

      @joeh8175 it doesnt take much at all so youre safe using either.

    Good vid brother. I feel much better now after watching this. Need to do mine. Did yours act up after filling the gas tank? Then run fine at 3/4 full? I’m hoping this is the problem. Thank you👍🇺🇸❤️

      @@Balls2YourMom I have solved the problem!!! It’s the gas tank vapor canister. I have made the mistake of topping off my tank whenever I get fuel. Not a good idea. The gas fills up the vapor canister and lines going to the engine. Plugs up everything in the system. I unplugged the sensor for the vape lines and she runs like a top. Don’t overfill your tank. I need to replace my canister and replug the sensor back in. 👍

    thanks for the video. it might be off topic but i have a question. My lesabre takes a few tries to start sometimes and its getting annoying. do you think replacing fuel pressure regulator or the fuel pump would fix that? thanks.

    • @MegaMilesBen
      @MegaMilesBen  Год назад +2

      Theres many things that could cause that. Id recommend a true diagnostics to start so you get right to the issue. A guessing game can get expensive.

      Did you ever fix it ? Having same problem currently I fixed my alternator cause it was bad and no luck still same problem

    • @efeozcelik9476
      @efeozcelik9476 8 месяцев назад

      i did fix it. in my case it was the fuel pump. it made a world of difference in terms of how fast the engine started.@@ismaelgonzales2464

      Wondering if you fixed this too? My car starts fine when cold but takes several tries when warm. It also has low idle that will sometimes either stall or surge sometimes. I have replaced the idle control valve with no improvement.

    • @efeozcelik9476
      @efeozcelik9476 Месяц назад

      @@BaneKorik i changed the fuel pump and it started like a champ everytime. having said that, it might not fix your problem.

    Mine is leaking fuel from the hose do i have to replace the whole regulator or just the hose

    • @MegaMilesBen
      @MegaMilesBen  9 месяцев назад

      Thats a vacuum hose so if youve got fuel there, youll want to swap the regulator.

    Can a fuel pressure regulator cause stalling while driving?

    • @MegaMilesBen
      @MegaMilesBen  7 месяцев назад

      Yes. It can cause a loss of pressure.

    When you oiled the o-rings, was it just fuel you used?

    • @MegaMilesBen
      @MegaMilesBen  Год назад +2

      Fuel dries too fast. I use a very slight touch of assembly lube but oil would work too.

    So what exactly does this part do or what problems does it cause??

    • @MegaMilesBen
      @MegaMilesBen  Год назад +3

      "Critical to Engine Function.
      A fuel pressure regulator works to maintain proper and consistent pressure for the injectors during a variety of driving conditions. Pressure that is too high can cause misfiring and increase vehicle emissions. Low pressure can cause poor vehicle performance and slow - or no - starts. Both high and low pressure can reduce fuel efficiency and even shorten the life of the engine. A leaky fuel pressure regulator diaphragm often causes lower fuel pressures, but the problem can be tricky to diagnose. Regulator issues are often misdiagnosed as an oxygen sensor problem, and can cause multiple, misleading OBD II codes."

    • @MegaMilesBen

      Its a snap ring. Youll need snap ring pliers. The tips of the snap ring pliers go into the snap ring holes and you squeeze & pull.
