It's actually quite interesting and funny to find that the former y coordinates that was previously used to find diamonds is now what is currently used to find netherite 🔱
Also is a good idea to grab a full set of netherite gear before the next major update since after that you’ll need the smithing templates to upgrade gear to netherite and that’ll take a good bit of exploring to find and you’ll need extra diamonds to duplicate them.
I'm playing an UltraFlat right now, but need to get into my regulat survival and do this soon!! Might spend a couple hours on weekend bedding the nether.... yeah I'm going with that description lol
Don’t forget you can also make a witch farm using a witch hut to get gunpowder… also sugar, glass bottles, glowstone dust, redstone, spider eyes and a small variety of potions. I have a witch farm in my world, and it is totally worth the effect finding and building the witch farm. I also keep a lava source near my collection area so I can easily dispose of items I don’t need/have way too many of! I went afk overnight at it and got 6+ stacks, I believe, of gunpowder alone. It’s worth it finding the witch hut! Great video btw! Also loving the Hogwarts Legacy livestreams too! 😁
Prowl FYI, I saw you were mining nether gold blocks with a Fortune 3 pickaxe. You get more gold by using a Silk Touch pickaxe and smelting those blocks. Loved the video, keep the great content coming.
We found that if you use the bed method, mark the block you stand in to mine with cobble (so you don’t have to count again) and after each explosion you make a new 6 long path and put another bed at the end you increase the output by a lot, basically you end up exposing 3 times more blocks
I would suggest the mining times might be shorter with TNT over bed bombing, but you can very easily automate wool collection and wood is infinitely renewable. Sand is not, and gunpowder is hard to farm en masse. So, the general overall time in preparing to mine with beds is going to be a lot faster than with TNT. Dropping the beds\TNT in someone's lap without collecting it, I will agree TNT is faster.
Sprint mining in the Nether is awesome if you just want to zone out for a bit and play on auto pilot. I did that the other day and ended up with over 100 debris without actually realising it!! I then had to heal up 5 diamond pickaxe and 2 netherite pickaxe!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey thank you for enlightening me on the TNT method… I’ve been sprint mining this past week and switched it up today. Getting to blow stuff up is soooo much fun! Keep up the great work!
have you tried 5 tnt with a lever in the center to activate them all at once? con: with multiple explotions you get almost no drops. pro: it clears out as wide as beds but in all directions and no fire to fight looking for netherite. con: defiantly post industrial farms late game only. pro: it works good on stone and decently on deep slate and end stone. con: big bada boom hurts if too close lol.
In Bedrock, I've noticed that Ancient Debris seems to line up along the same x or z axis at the correct y level. As soon as I find the first piece, I will explode along the same axis and have been pretty successful that way. I go for a few hundred blocks in both directions, then turn 90 degrees from a deposit and look for a few hundred blocks in both directions too. I tried the tunnel bore machine, but it was too much work for no reward if you didn't line up in the right location. Explosions are the way to go, but Beds are a good early game option to get Netherite gear if you don't have lots of TNT resources early to mid game.
TBH, my favorite way is the bed mining way as it is easily crafted from wood (wood farm) and wool(wool farm) which both are easy to get from farms not like bedrock's Sand duping method.
I just play minecraft recently, and i actually love to use bed method of ancient debris farming i just have to dig 6 block forward, 1 block right/left plus another block to place the bed, backoff to initial place 7 block away until we can peak a lil bit, crouch and kaboom... Debris founded 😂
dumb question: how did you get the day count in the top right? i play on ps5 bedrock and i would just like to know if it is even possible for me to get?
Really good video bro. My second day watching your channel and ima subscribe I like your style of video and happy to subscribe keep up the good videos bro
I've been digging at Y= 16, getting good amounts (I think) of debris. I thought 16 (and 17 being head level) was good because of chunk borders. Was I mistaken? I will be digging at 11 anyway, to see how it goes. Thanks for the video!
Chunk boarders run in the x and z coordinates, not y. The chuncks that people normally refer to go from the bottom of the world to the top of the world. There are sub chunks that take a regular chunk and divide it up at various y levels, but that isn't something that you need to get into for most of the game (sub chunks have more of an impact with very large redstone builds). You are correct about mining on a chunk boarder giving you a better chance of finding more ancient debris, but you need to find those boarders on the x and z coordinates. If you need any more help, feel free to ask 😊
If you want to get beds without getting around for sheep you can use a shepherd villager and at journeyman level he offers beds and wool that can be easy to get with zombifying method
I had to go back and listen to it twice but you said you found a good use for an infinity bow, can't believe it, Nice video, I always learn something new from your videos, or you answer a question i have been wondering about. Thanks
Why not treat the beds the same way you do TNT Mining? You can sprint mine, then place the beds infront of you like tnt, just detonate evrry time you place
I enjoy the manual mining method, except I'm always afraid of missing a piece in the floor because of the particles so I rarely sprint. Didn't know y 11 was the sweet spot. I thought it was 15 for some reason.
ancient debris is far more common in bedrock... 100:1 as a part time casual player i had full set of armor & tools in netherite in a week... my java game, still in full diamond ahhh, bedrock!
Typical bedrock player, thinks mending bow is better than infinity 😂 Why would you waste time crafting them only to run out of arrows? You can just repair the infinity bow. When it becomes to expensive to repair, make a new one. You make mob farms I heard, it's not going to be hard to get the levels to enchant a new bow. What else are you trying to use the levels on?
Typical Java player, thinks infinity bow is better than mending 😵 Why do you need to use so many arrows? It only takes 1 to kill a mob, is your aim that bad? You only need a stack of arrows every few days you play. When you need more, just top off your stack next time you visit your storage. I make mob farms, raid farms, bartering farms, and skeleton spawner farms, it's not hard to get an infinite supply of arrows. What else am I going to use them for?

The nether and I do not have the best relationship. Once at y11 things are pretty good… it’s getting there in one piece that is the issue!

If you are going to branch mine then mine along chunk borders. It makes a difference since netherite is guaranteed to appear in each chunk somewhere

When using a bow to ignite tnt, the arrow doesn't get destroyed by the explosion, so you don't need an infinity bow.
