hahahaha you real old if you actually remember when Dre only did make beats 😂
I literally laughed out loud 😂😂😂
the irony is, thats why he had to make this song
@@krapart ummmmm this song came out in '99 and Beats wasn't even found until 2006. Try again.
The boys recently discovered Dr. Dre as a rapper. When they hear NWA their minds are going to be blown. I can’t wait.
That will be THE video of the year!
They thought it was funny that Cube rapped. They watched his kids movies. They need to hear NWA badly!!

Agreed!
Dr. Dre discovered Eminem when he was struggling, but was SO impressed with him, he signed him right away.
He didn’t sign him right away, as a matter of fact he was about to let him go for a multitude of reasons. Thank God Dre said “fuck y’all all of y’all” and signed Em against what everybody said.
actually according to the documentairy they both struggled and took a gamble on eachother
The first song em did when they met was my name is you gotta bet on

The irony of this song talking about forgetting about Dre and y’all didn’t know he has mad skills.
Lol, youre right!
Love Dr D no 1 can forget Dre.
Lol eminem wrote this whole song
Em wrote the song.
Eminem wrote his verse 😂
“This is Dre!? Cause he wasn’t rapping like this in the last one”. That’s cause Eminem didn’t write that one😂This is pure Eminem influence, cadence and lyrics. He wrote this track as a gift to Dre cause of how people were acting towards him at that time. And yes, he wrote the whole thing.
Dr dre doesn't write any of his lyrics Jay Z wrote still Dre including Snoops parts
What the actual fuck are you on about?
The DOC wrote most of The Chronic I’m pretty sure
@michael B bro... Jayz ks literally credited for it. He wrote everything including Snoops and Dre's part. Just search on Wikipedia and Spotify. Jay-Z's real name is Shawn Carter. Stfu
'cadence' you can not right someone's cadence that goes from the rapper himself. Dre is still an outstanding rapper. He still has a job of getting the cadence right, flows right, delivery right, tones right etc. People act like the guy can only rap cause people write for him which is bull shit.

Dre was one of the OG's of rap back in the late 80s early 90s. He got big and stepped back from rapping himself for a while and focused on his record label. He got accused of going soft and being irrelevant, old news basically. This song was a response to his critics. Basically one big "F you" to the people that forgot how he was one of the original architects of rap and hip hop's rise to the top
Not even close to an OG or an original architect of hip hop at all. He came out over a decade after the real OGs from NYC.
@@albertbravo1716 no, the type of rap you're going on about was all about dance hall and live turn table events and maybe......maybe one local radio station who occasionally played hip-hop.
NWA, the groups that formed after their breakup, and the franchising the industry into what became rap and hiphop of the 90s and 20 years after.....then yes OGs.
No they didn't invite rap, but they did do EVERYTHING else.
@@toomanyadds you have no idea what you're talking about at all. I'm from the Bronx, there was hip hop on the radio way before NWA. Where do you think they got the idea to rap? They did nothing but add their own style to what had been out for over a decade.
@@albertbravo1716 Thats cute...
Before Rapper's Delight, there was NO rap in the mainstream, shit there wasn't even a "mainstream" to speak of. In fact when Sugarhill records were hunting for "rappers" non of the DJ or MCs wanted in as the belief was that you couldn't make rap for radio.
NWA and other artists like Ice T, MC Hammer, and the Digital Underground all laid the ground work of making a mainstream of hip hop and rap.
So yes he is an OG, did he invent rap? No, but your claim at a minimum is ignorant and disrespectful. If anything you're exposing yourself as either bias to the history of hip hop and or having no knowledge of a culture that has some of it's deepest roots in your home town.
@@toomanyadds again, wrong. You have no idea what you're talking about and it's extremely obvious. I won't even go back and forth with someone that doesn't know what they're talking about, it's a waste of energy. Maybe in your town rap wasn't big before the west coast rappers came up but that's only your town. Nothing disrespectful about saying they were part of the 3rd generation, it is what it is.

Fun fact: the beat and dr Dre’s as well as Eminem’s lyrics (obvi) we’re all written by Eminem. Eminem ghost wrote this and presented it to Dre to throw on his “2001” album
Just a little tidbit about Hittman, so you guys know. This clip at the end was a snippet from what was supposed to be his highly anticipated debut album, produced by Dre. He was on a few songs from Dre's 2001 album and was supposed to be Dre's next big protégé, like Snoop and Em before him. His name is Hittman because it stands for Highly Intensive Tongue Talents Making All Nervous, hence why he said that in his verse. I really, really liked his style and flow from the songs he was featured on in 2001, so I was pretty bummed when his album never got released and he eventually left Aftermath. That was the one bad thing about Dre and Aftermath back then. Dre was so busy making hits for everyone that a lot of rappers that were supposed to release albums on Aftermath, never actually released albums because it took too long.
It breaks my heart that the younger generations aren’t being exposed to this music. I’m 50 and still know every word to this song. There’s so much more for y’all to discover. Enjoy your journey!!
Yes, this “music“ is so musical and lyrically such a fine influence on our young people, not to mention what stellar role- models the rap community provides.
Ron Robbins it’s okay for you not to agree with my opinion. It’s unnecessary for you to make sarcastic comments, but you are free to do so. It’s unfortunate that you are apparently one of those people who thinks that music is something that people base their real lives on. Are you one of those people who thinks Christmas songs have hidden misogyny and are traumatizing to children? Relax, order yourself a pumpkin spice latte. Life’s too short to be uptight about these things.
@@elsac1739 What's actually "heartbreaking" about this is how many young people (like these nice kids) think it's okay and normal to hear obscene lyrics produced by so-called "musical artists" who no longer sing, play instruments, or read/write music, whose reputations are often based on prison-experience and how many times they've been shot, whose main cause of death statistically, is murder. Not to mention the common themes of explicit sex/drugs/violence with all the typical racist & sexist terminology. It's pathetic how for purely financial reasons this stuff is even allowed to be played online these days. Just an opinion, is that still allowed?
Ron Robbins gee, it’s funny how you ask me if opinions are still allowed, yet here you are attacking MY opinion. The hypocrisy of your statement is laughable. Enjoy yourself though, you do not affect me or my OPINION.

These guys blew up man! I think earlier this year they probably had 30 to 40 thousand subs now they are at 649000 subs so crazy! Very happy for them though 💪
Dr. Dre discovered Eminem, and produced him.
There was nothing like this at the time. This was played on MTV, when they still played videos. It was not only incredible rap, but completely new way to present the words to the world. Incredible time in music.
"He killin it" duh boys... its Dre!!
Lol 🤣
I remember listening to this song 1000 times so I could get Em's part down! Man oh man the good ole days... rewind/fast forward!
Another request: Children’s Story Slick Rick
❣️
Yaaaaas! This!!!
Had that on a vinyl 45 in 8th grade
YES!!!!!
Absolutely!
Have you guys reacted to Em’s “ Lose Yourself” , “ Stan” and the rap battle scene in “ 8 Mile”.
Yeah! And "Without Me"
YES DEF...Eminem's "Lose Yourself" and "Without "Me"!!! I used to play these songs over and over again. "Without Me"video is great and has so much humor...all about when they censored him and now he is back! Lol
they gotta see Rabbit and the Rap Battle of all time on 8 mile!
Hello, you absolutely must do a Busta Rhymes song, especially with the lyrics on screen. He is unbelievable; he is seriously in a class all his own.
Busts Rhymes is fu€&ing terrible! Gtfoh with that!
Do whoo ha keep ya all in check, Buster Rhymes
@@bradleyatcheson6149 Break ya neck. That beat is so memorable to me 😆
In vegas the Bellagio fountain show is choreographed to specific songs every hour on the hour...last one at 11pm is ALWAYS "time to say goodbye" by sara brightman and andrea bocelli...please give us your reactions to that video..its a whole experience, I swear
Anyone else really want to see them react to “ Jump” by Kris Kross? 🙋🏻♀️
If they do that they gotta do Iesha by ABC
But everyone and their mama has heard that song
😂 oooh yeah!
Alex F I want them to do Playground by ABC. Cute video.
I think they did it a while ago
Boyyyyyyys! You gotta listen to Dre's album The Chronic, and get to know him as a rapper! He made West Coast rap hit the mainstream.
Dr. Dre is a legend fools!!!! Respect!
i dont buy for a minute that yall aint heard this song, everyone and their mom has heard this song.
Hater- I don't like your comment. Ignore his comment. Thank you for posting
Not when you are 22.
@@1sexysportsfan thats fair. it saddens me to know a lot of the young people dont know real hip hop and only listen to that Bubblegum Bullshit. I mean to this day i dont understand how mumble rap became so "popular", where are the days when real lyricists, like Em, Rakim, Pharoahe Monch, Nas, Jay, Andre 3k, Wayne, Big Pun, Balck Thought, Royce, Redman, Method Man, Busta, Biggie, Pac etc Ran shit? Now adays it seems like all you gotta do is have a lisp get some face tattoos and drink some lean and yell "SKRRRRRT" and ur a fucking hit.
@@andrewdecker616 cracks me up when I'm sitting at a red light with the windows down and our local throwback hip-hop/rap/R&B station blaring and young kids in their rice burners next to me, watching in confusion as this 30-something-year-old white chick is dancing in her sedan to Tricky, jamming out Rapper's Delight word-for-word, or shouting her lungs out to Gangster's Paradise. THOSE were the damn days, man, and these kids are sitting here thinking Cardi B was sent from heaven x.x
@@kristideeley lol for real, as i myself am bout 30 but i have the old school hip hop mentality, in late 90's-early 2000's when kids were listening to Nsync i was checking Wayne's "the block is hot" and Ems "The Marshall Mathers LP,/Eminem show, Nas's Stillmatic", Jay's "The Blueprint" etc. I prefer bars over a nice club beat, now dont get me wrong it definitely helps to have a sick beat but again as i have said before, id rather listen to a real lyricists spit some double/triple Entendre bars (that make you think), a Capella rather than some bullshit that has a tight beat if ya know what i mean? Thats why personally i have Em up there as one of the goats cause his pen is filthy. His cadence, flow, double/triples, clever punch lines, the way he utilizes multisyllabic rhymes etc. Luckily we still have some real OG hip hop heads to show that real lyricism is still around.
Have you guys not seen Straight Outta Compton yet? You have to put it on your list.
For real. It was a hit I can't believe they missed out on Straight Outta Compton
I don't believe for a second that y'all didn't know Dre was a rapper. I'm gonna really blow your mind about Ice Cube.
They reacted to It Was a Good Day
They should do Straight Outta Compton.
They already reacted to Ice Cube. But you would still be correct-their minds were blown then too. They thought he was just an actor. 🤣
They reacted to See in California Love. They said he sounded different in this song.
They did It Was A Good Day but they should have done a real NWA style song like No Vaseline or something
These reactions are making me feel old as hell
I really enjoy you guys reacting to 90's rap. Keep it up! There is so much amazing music out there! Too Short, E40, DJ Quik, Nate Dogg solo, Ice Cube solo, the list goes on and on. Best rap and R&B in my lifetime.
Alanis Morissette - You Oughta Know. Thank me later! 😂
Blackstreet featuring dr dre. The song is No diggity
Yessss I love that song.
I like the way you work it
@@RobinFlysHigh I got to bag it up
YES
That's one of the worst hip hop songs ever. It was made for mainstream white people like you though! Lol
That last bar will always be the hardest.
This Album [Chronic 2001] came out the year I graduated! I listened to it all of the time! I still have it on most of my playlists! It still holds up!
Eminem “My Name Is” !!! His debut single and first big hit onto the music scene. Iconic!!!
WHAT?
Ommmggg I cannot believe you are finally listening to this song. This is hands down one of my all time faves. Shameless white girl rapping every time this song comes on #OGBANGER
Same, girl! Everyone was rapping this when it came out in 5th grade 😂
Lol u go white girl. Don't let the cultural appropriators get you.
it was written completely by Eminem, even Dre's parts
“I thought Dr Dre just made Beats”. 😂❤️😂
