- In today's video I visit the Universal Orlando Resort because we have so much news and rumors to discuss and breakdown from City Walk updates, Monsters Cafe being transformed into a minion restaurant, the Universal Superstar parade closing permanently, more interesting tweets from Universal Orlando about a second minion attraction to the very first Halloween Horror Nights house announcement which is Universal Monsters Legends Collide! After checking out these rumors and breaking news in Universal Studios Florida I stop over at Islands of Adventure to look at some of the latest construction projects and to check out the All Hollows Hula Boutique which has been re-themed to halloween summer vacation, it was actually really cool to see in person. Does City Walk have shopping? We have never been to Universal and have a daughter that loves Jurassic Park/World. We wanted to get her something during our upcoming trip to Florida.
Yes there is some shopping but not like Disney springs..

Edit: I understand the direction USO is taking, really leaning into their profitable IPs. But it seems a bit overkill to have 2 Minion based attractions and a restaurant at the front of the park. If this is their goal they should just go all in and make the front of the park a Minions land

Despicable Me is a good movie, but I'll never understand the Minion hype.
My guess? it's a good way to attract families with younger kids. Gives them more to do.
Because minions will bring more families to the park.

You will be fine. This time of year it doesn’t rain all day. Just some spotty showers here and there and go get something to eat and it goes away.

I would just make sure that you bring an umbrella or rain poncho if it is raining of course with thunder they will shut down some of the roller coasters outside but I would go I would have fun just make sure that you wear the proper clothing. The rain can be heavy in Florida at certain times and then of course it can slow down so just follow the weather radar and see what you can accomplish I would save the shopping for when it's raining and try to do as many rides as you can
We did buy ponchos. I learned my lesson with that! The ponchos at Universal can be expensive! Thanks for the response and recommendations😊
I think you will be fine. It will rain pretty much everyday here in Orlando in the summer through the early fall. When it rains bad people will leave and that will make the lines go down a lot. Just bring a small umbrella or a poncho and possibly a rain jacket and you will be fine. Have a great vacation!!!
Dev, Universal def needs you as a consultant because I didn’t even think of a possible themed escape room like the ones you mentioned! That would be awesome. And they def need some sort of transpo option back to your car. 👏🏽

I moved away from Florida my first year of high school. I graduated in 2008 and I’m still mad that I didn’t get a chance to go to Grad Bash. Lol.
Do the Orlando Informer meet up. It's similar. A private event. So much fun and very low lines. We went last June. Not expensive either.

@@jasminesmith5842 no problem. Orlando Informer has a website and on Facebook where u can get this info. I know they have events coming up in November, 2 in December and 1st weekend this June. They sell out fast. I'd wait till next year and get 2 full days. We went last June. Offer hotel discounts too. If you're on facebook, u can get a lot of info from others. But its a fun experience with small crowds and lines
Do you happen to know if the monsters (Dracula, Frankenstein, etc…) walk around the parks there and do meet and greets? You have us so excited for Halloween now. We are looking forward to seeing all of the new houses this year and thank you for the updates!
Unfortunately they don’t and I wish they did. But over at Universal Hollywood they walk around. I really appreciate the support. Halloween is going to be so much fun this year!

Loved the video and would love to see more stuff that veers away from Disney. So much more in Florida than Disney. I went to Discovery Cove 2 weeks ago for my 4th time and all I did was float in the river for 4 hours but easily the best part of my trip.
And just think bro it's only May hot it's not August hot it is only May hot. It's going to get a lot hotter! Be prepared with lots of water and a fan if possible

Good to see monster/dark stuff being changed to something family friendly. Personally don't know how they have gotten away with having an electric chair in a public area. Kids first guys!
Not really a fan of anything minions i think it's for little kids and it's very dumb so you can imagine what I think of these dumb moves they took away shrek to put in many and more minions which the 1st minions already sucks
I also believe more minions would be great for universal because the despicable me franchise is so loved and it would be great for universal to have more family rides. I would love to see the secret life of pets at the Florida universal because California universal Hollywood has a secret life of pets attraction.
Yes that’s very true! I would absolutely love to see secret life of pets come here. That was one of my favorite rides at Universal Hollywood.
