What if the heater won’t work?
Just went through the written instructions for the umpteenth time and ready to... it’s now heating 🤙🏾thanks for the upload M8!
I stumbled across your Lay Z Spa videos when I was searching for information about my spa which is not the same manufacturer and is also not even a blow-up type. However, I have found your videos to be so well put together and entertaining that I have watched all of them now! Keep up the good work.
Very clear and concise. I especially liked the warning about an external timer. Thanks very much
Omg, read the instructions three times, watch your video and so clear and informative. Thank you
You're welcome!
Great video - clear instructions- not too long.
Perfect explained so that even we, at the other side of the North Sea, are able to understand it. ‘73
Awesome. Are you in Norway, Sweden, Denmark area?
What a great explanation to the timer function, I struggled reading it in the manual even with my glasses on !!
Thanks for the feedback Helen
You are brilliant! I have just purchased my own first laz y spa and it was quite a daunting purchase! The instructions were awful and the articles online aren’t helpful in the slightest! You get straight to the point and are very thorough! Thank you!
Thank you for your comments, makes it all worthwhile
Just BRILLIANT, an easy way. Thank you 👏👏
Bestway need to give you a job for clearly explaining just about everything to do with their hot tubs as the bloody instructions that they provide are useless to say the least.
You know what? you've given me an idea. I might approach Bestway myself. I'm 50/50 on it just now but I'll let the idea gestate and see if I come round.
@@AbouttheHouse0 You’ve absolutely nothing to lose fella as I’ve no doubt there will be 0000’s of people out there struggling to operate and maintain these hot tubs via the instruction manual provided. Ideally they should add a link to your videos then pay you per view.
Totally agree with this! There are no other videos on RUclips like yours!
@@victoriaelizabeth222 Totally agree with you.
@@superbrit3845 @Victoria Elizabeth thanks both. I will
I had watched different videos to find out to to set temperature for timer. I found answer in your finally. Thanks for your clear explanation 🙂
Woohoo! Thank you for the mention and thank you for the video! Very easy to follow. Our LZS Miami goes up tomorrow for the first time and your videos have helped no end. I look forward to more uploads 👍🏻😊
I was just looking for your original comment to let you know, but you beat me to it, lol. Glad you like it. Do let us know how you get on 👍
Do you leave the pool warmer on for life and set the timer so the water is always ready for use when you want it. Or do you turn it off once your water has reached the temp
Thanks for this. Very simple yet Bestway never made it clear. I had set mine the opposite way round until I saw this video.
Thanks 🙏
Yes, it would seem more logical to set the delay first
Thank you so much, your right, the manual on setting up the timer is vague indeed. Very helpful ☺️
And the print is so small I had to use a magnifier to read it.
Concise and clear. Thank you
Great video, thankyou......I was leaving the filtration on all the time before!😮
Well so useful I'm so happy cheers fixed what I thought was broken
Thank you for the videos on inflatable spa. Your videos were great and we now have a heated spa. The instructions from Best way we're horrendous. Your videos were great, so helpful. Thank you.
i bought spa today thanks for video mate, great tutorial
Outstanding and Clear instructions Sir!
Thank you
Thanks, very well explained!
Thank you from California!
Excellent explanation, thanks!
Absolutely brilliant explanation, thank you so much! I live alone and a friend helped me setup the spa; we promptly lost the directions and I have been searching for how to setup the timer, which you so perfectly explained. Appreciates the tip about saving energy with the filter, my bill def jumped when I installed this thing! Every little bit helps. :) Thank you! New subscriber! All the best to you :)
Thank you 🙏 so much for your Ease of Instructions and The Tip for Using the timer ⏲️ without the Filter on Thus saving money 💰 and using Less Electric ⚡️
Thank you. Such a simple yet effective tutorial 👍
Glad you think so!
Dude you nailed it! When we got our spa I read them and started my set-up. I immediately went inside and told my wife, "These instructions are the absolute worst!"
Thanks Eric
We purchased one of these from Costco this week. Your videos have been a real help 👍
Thanks Max
Brilliant video! Thank you so much! 🤟🏽
Thank you, Ian 👍
Amazing video, told me everything i needed to know after scratching my head clearly not understanding the Bestway instructions. Keep up the good work.
Excellent video !!! Your an absolute legend
Amazing very informative I’ve just bought mine and the instructions are shocking. thanks 🙏

Just bought a new hot tub and couldn't understand the instructions whatsoever but came across your videos. Well what can I say except excellent and thankyou. You explained everything in so much detail it was so easy to set up. Keep doing an amazing job 😁

Fantastic review! Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you. I needed this
You are so welcome
Wish I would of seen this video 9 hours ago when I set my spa up for the first time. Didn’t realize I put a 99 hour hold on starting the heater… Very helpful video. Thank you.
You must like the number 9
Thank you for a very informative video.. the instructions are rubbish, but you have helped me BIG TIME X much appreciated
Excellent presentation!!
Thank you kindly!

Oh, my God, I've Have this for years And I'm only just Learning There is a second Time delay You have just change my life 😂😂❤
Thanks hugely helpful
Magic, thank you for making this video, I could not make head nor tail of the instructions x
Yep, that's a BIG club
Thank you, I completely agree, the instructions coming with the spa were so absolutely useless. RUclipsrs came to my rescue.
👍
Legend mate, just got mine set up, superb info
Thanks James, great feedback
So helpful!
Thank you Victoria 😊
You are so welcome!
Sorry, I should also have added that your videos are great, you clearly explain in an easy to understand manner. We are really enjoying our hot tub.
Thanks, nice of you to say. I do try to make my videos "accessible to all".
Question when you set the timer do the spa completely shut off power
Thank you so much!!
Grazie veramente ben
elencato il modo d'utilizzo timer
Great video thank you for sharing
Finally it makes since
Amazing THANKYOU
You have been my go to guy / guru as yes the instructions are shocking!!
Thanks Rachael 👍
Great job , thank you
Thanks for watching!
Fantastic, thanks so much. Bought a beer for you, hope you enjoy it as I enjoy mine in my hot tub tonight 😅
Definitely agree……..Bestway need to explain clearly……..this video clearly helps….Thankyou…..just setup 6 hour delay…..then 4 hour heating and circulation on too….
Thank you. I tried to report the burnt plug issue to them, but they make it impossible to just 'get in touch'. I don't think they are 'customer focussed' and are sitting back on their laurels.
What a great guy
Thank you so much for this. Just set up my first spa and wanted more info about the timer function.
You are so welcome!
Another great video. As you say on the Control Panel Operation video, the instructions that are supplied are utter rubbish. Thank the lord someone out there did the decent thing and make these set up and maintain videos!!!!😍
thank you 😄
Fantastic! Will rewatch tomorrow and test on my spa, it's been a long day.
Enjoy! New spa?
@@AbouttheHouse0 yeah, 4th one, finally got the new 2021 pump. Much better than the older ones. Had a Monaco first, then two Vegas and now a Helsinki. I used them everyday so it's been a good 5 or so years!
@@DashDrones are all the 2020 and earlier ones the egg shape and they changed to 'box' for 2021? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick.
@@AbouttheHouse0 yep, that's exactly what I meant. The heat/filtration system stays on at the same time as the airjet massagers on simultaneously unlike either or on the old ones 👍
Bloody good work mate
This is the video I came for, well done that man! Why can't everyone else put this in there videos 😫
Thanks Derek
Great video thank you
Thank you 😊
awesome. Thank you for stopping by
Rock on man, thanks. 😊
Thanks, you too!
Thanks for the video , Excellent straightforward way of explaining how the timer works. So essentially if I used this function would this be the cheapest way to run the hot tub as I can set it up for when I want to use it and how long etc?
Good one mate 👍
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
Thank you.
Welcome!
Thanks for the instructions for the timer instructions did not explain this very well cheers
The instructions that come with them are useless.
excellent
I have only used the timer for "jets" while soaking now I know why the filter&heat sometimes turned off with the timer. Thanks!
Oh my goodness! Three years I have had my spa and the first time I actually know how to use the timers! The instructions they send are garbage!! For such a nice spa you would think they would take the time with instructions. Totally support your channel. Thank you.
Question..I leave my pump filter going all the time. I have extremely hard water and feel it keeps it from build up. Is it meant to be on all the time or off most of the time?
Thanks Robin, glad it was helpful!
If I want to keep my temp set to 28' & then use the timer to to heat up to 38' what happens when I turn off the heater as described in your video? Great video by the way. Thanks
Hi mate great instructions. I'm going on holidays for 2 weeks. I don't wanna turn my hot tub off. What do I need to do to keep it from contamination. Tys George
Man I wish I could just have it turn on everyday about 2pm and off about 9pm. That would be so much better.
nice vid
Indeed best way do need to give u a job ,I’m stuck I don’t understand how the timer works I’m leaving my heater on daily & the filter button on all time I need it hot up to 40 twice daily that’s it ,what do you recommend leaving it on all night ,sorry I have learning difficulties so videos help me greatly thanks 👍👌
Thank you . Much better instructions than the terrible ones provided
Aren't they just!
Thanks for the video. Very helpful. Dam nuisance that it only works for the hours set. So I live in QLD, AUS (very very hot in summer) and we are going away for 8 nights at the end of December, so I guess I will have to set it to cover most of the time we are away. Any suggestions, most welcome.
Rather than allowing it to cool and using the timer for 7 days time, I'd suggest reducing the set temperature to 32-34ish and leaving it on. Knock it back up to 'normal' as soon as you return (or get a friend to do it the day before). It'd be cheaper and cleaner that way. Also put tablets in it
Thank you for the tip. Sorry for the questions their manuals are not very good.
Is this something that can be set or scheduled daily or do you have to do this everyday?
Also do you know what this is about?
Designed with innovative winterizing technology, the system will keep the internal temperatures between 42º and 50ºF (6º and 10ºC) to prevent damage.
Just subscribed, hope you can help us out. We set up our Coleman Saluspa. We were enjoying the warm water and air bubbles. When I stepped out of the spa, I was shocked. We turned off the unit and I tried to get back in. The shock was very strong even with the the unit turned off. We unplugged the unit and of course all was fine.
I understand the wet floor the cause, why are we experiencing this, is our spa defective? Thanks
Hi, thanks for your clear instructions..however..what temp should i have it at until the timer kicks in..?? Seems to go from 27 to 39 would be impossible in 2 hrs
Thank you for that video. You’re correct, the manual is rubbish! I cannot get my Hydro jets and air bubble jets to work together. I have tried everything I know and my unit is two days old. Do you have any idea of what I might try. I have a warranty claim in already would best way. Thanks
Thank you. You mentioned about leaving the circulation for 4 hours in every 12. If you have the temperature set to say 35 and it is constantly checking this. Would there be no need to manually activate circulation as it would be doing it periodically as it keeps temperature?
The circualtion pump is automatically on if your heating is on.
Good afternoon and Great thanks for this clear and helpful vidéo … saved us a decent amount of Time … just one question though please, can we put the cover on top of the spa while heating (to optimize heating Time )… or will it cause any problem? Tnx in advance
Keep lid on you are meant to so the heat doesn't escape and cost you a fortune too.
The same Hot Tub is sold in the US by Coleman
👍👍
Hi,
My lay z spa Miami with the old style pump has decided it doesn’t like the current cold weather and is throwing up an E03 error (the temp is too low), in the last few winters we have got around this by covering the pump with a towel and a plastic dustbin. My question is……. If I buy one of the new style square looking pumps like the one in your vids with “freeze shield” tech, would it turn on and heat the water to between 6 and 10 degrees on its own as long as the pump has power to it OR does the main power button need to be turned on OR does the power button, the heater button and/or the filtration buttons need to be on too, I’ve looked everywhere and am struggling to get clear info. Also, it looks like I would need to have warm water to start with otherwise the new style pump would throw in an E03 error to start with. The water in my tub currently isn’t frozen but it’s very cold if you put your hand in. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Hi! After wachting this video I think you might help me out with a situation I'm having with my Lay Z Spa St. Lucia. I cannot seem to separately switch off the HEATER and PUMP(water circulation) function. If I turn off the pump, the heater switches off too. DESPITE the temperature settings. Whenever I turn on the heater, the pump switches on automatically. This leads to some scenario’s that don’t seem right to me. For example:
- I lower the temperature to 25 degrees (when I’m gone for a couple of days for example) the temperature stays high(er), around 30 degrees. Probably because the heater stays on. If I switch of the heater, the temperature drops to below the 25 degrees that I’ve set the jacuzzi to.
- When I’ve set the temperature to my the standard 40 degrees, I cannot turn of the pump without the heating switching off too. Even if I’ve set the temperature at 40 degrees, it will just keep on dropping.
This currently means that:
1. I am forced to ALWAYS have the pump on
2. I cannot really control the temperature (because if, say, I set the temperature to 25 degrees, the pump and heater HAVE to be on, keeping the temperature higher than I need)
I can’t imagine this being normal. Can you help me figure this out? Thanks so much in advance!
I want the heater on now and then come back in a few hours and have hot water. It's hard to tell which is the time delay and which one is the heat on time?
Clear explanation, but I'm at a loss as to why it would be use. I check my spa daily, and when i think i may even want to use it, go back to it and start it heating/pumping. Dont get what the benefit is the timer function if 1) it cant be left to run and cycle 2) has to be setup and started each time.. I'm sure there are use cases but I've just not thought of them... :D Good video again tho, and i like the end bit 'i shall see you again pointy finger'. Reminds me of Shaw Taylor on Police 5 :D (showing my age....)
I can think of a few use cases. If you're going away for a holiday you could set it to be ready for when you get back.
If you have economy 7 leccy you can set it to heat in the cheap rate
Set it up in the evening so it's ready for when you get home from work the following day
And no doubt more. I agree it's very limited though. It would have cost less than a fiver in production costs to put a proper timer in the controls OR at least make the unit capable of being used with a plug-in timer.
I just purchased a new Salut spa, Coronado model, and unlike my previous model from them this one doesn’t seem to turn off the heater once it reaches my set temperature, which seems wrong. My old one would wait until it reached the set temperature and then would turn the heater off and then it would turn the heater back on once it dropped one or 2° below my set temperature am I doing something wrong
Thank you so much! I paid 10 times energy by keeping it ON all time (heat and filter) Can I turn both OFF and only turn on when using it? I do use it once a week only. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!
You can turn both filter and heat off, when the timer activates it will turn both on for the set duration.
