However, I have found your videos to be so well put together and entertaining that I have watched all of them now! Keep up the good work.

Rather than allowing it to cool and using the timer for 7 days time, I'd suggest reducing the set temperature to 32-34ish and leaving it on. Knock it back up to 'normal' as soon as you return (or get a friend to do it the day before). It'd be cheaper and cleaner that way. Also put tablets in it

    Hi,
My lay z spa Miami with the old style pump has decided it doesn’t like the current cold weather and is throwing up an E03 error (the temp is too low), in the last few winters we have got around this by covering the pump with a towel and a plastic dustbin. My question is……. If I buy one of the new style square looking pumps like the one in your vids with “freeze shield” tech, would it turn on and heat the water to between 6 and 10 degrees on its own as long as the pump has power to it OR does the main power button need to be turned on OR does the power button, the heater button and/or the filtration buttons need to be on too, I’ve looked everywhere and am struggling to get clear info. Also, it looks like I would need to have warm water to start with otherwise the new style pump would throw in an E03 error to start with. The water in my tub currently isn’t frozen but it’s very cold if you put your hand in. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi! After wachting this video I think you might help me out with a situation I'm having with my Lay Z Spa St. Lucia. I cannot seem to separately switch off the HEATER and PUMP(water circulation) function. If I turn off the pump, the heater switches off too. DESPITE the temperature settings. Whenever I turn on the heater, the pump switches on automatically. This leads to some scenario’s that don’t seem right to me. For example:
    - I lower the temperature to 25 degrees (when I’m gone for a couple of days for example) the temperature stays high(er), around 30 degrees. Probably because the heater stays on. If I switch of the heater, the temperature drops to below the 25 degrees that I’ve set the jacuzzi to.
    - When I’ve set the temperature to my the standard 40 degrees, I cannot turn of the pump without the heating switching off too. Even if I’ve set the temperature at 40 degrees, it will just keep on dropping.
    This currently means that:
    1. I am forced to ALWAYS have the pump on
    2. I cannot really control the temperature (because if, say, I set the temperature to 25 degrees, the pump and heater HAVE to be on, keeping the temperature higher than I need)
I can’t imagine this being normal. Can you help me figure this out? Thanks so much in advance!

Clear explanation, but I'm at a loss as to why it would be use. I check my spa daily, and when i think i may even want to use it, go back to it and start it heating/pumping. Dont get what the benefit is the timer function if 1) it cant be left to run and cycle 2) has to be setup and started each time.. I'm sure there are use cases but I've just not thought of them... :D Good video again tho, and i like the end bit 'i shall see you again pointy finger'. Reminds me of Shaw Taylor on Police 5 :D (showing my age....)

I can think of a few use cases. If you're going away for a holiday you could set it to be ready for when you get back.
If you have economy 7 leccy you can set it to heat in the cheap rate
Set it up in the evening so it's ready for when you get home from work the following day
And no doubt more. I agree it's very limited though. It would have cost less than a fiver in production costs to put a proper timer in the controls OR at least make the unit capable of being used with a plug-in timer.

I just purchased a new Salut spa, Coronado model, and unlike my previous model from them this one doesn’t seem to turn off the heater once it reaches my set temperature, which seems wrong. My old one would wait until it reached the set temperature and then would turn the heater off and then it would turn the heater back on once it dropped one or 2° below my set temperature am I doing something wrong

Thank you so much! I paid 10 times energy by keeping it ON all time (heat and filter) Can I turn both OFF and only turn on when using it? I do use it once a week only. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

You can turn both filter and heat off, when the timer activates it will turn both on for the set duration.
