Should the remaining members of Led Zeppelin ever unite for a performance again, it would be a SHAME if you are not invited to be behind the kit. This series so far has been awesome George!!!!! Thank you
I have a feeling you're going to miss that kit. And that kit is going to miss you. This has to be the best drum cover of this track I've ever seen/heard. It's just perfect.
I’m not a big fan of O2 reunion because of few things but manly coz of the Zildjian sound, the sound of Paiste is so important in creating the sound of Led Zeppelin that I dare to say it’s equally important as the sound of Jimmy’s Gibson.
I agree with your comment of the Paiste sound. Paiste helped give JB, and Zeppelin, that classic sound. Zildjian are great cymbals but sound very generic and just "blah" compared to a nice set of Paistes.
Man, just enjoy the music and let the musicians use the gear they want to use...😂 I guess some fans are more picky with gear than musicians themselves...🤦🏻♂️
Think Jason may agree with you, it looks like he’s made the switch to 2002s for the Led Zep Experience things he does, judging by the clips I’ve seen. Don’t suppose he’s ditched his double pedal at the same time!?
@@chrishead4510 Yes he is playing Paiste again, I think he’s old man would give him a good slap if he would know that he played those plastic cymbals for the gig lol 😜
Sweet sound! I like the (maybe not intentional) nod with the camera angle from the point of view of the mythical microphone in the Headley Grange stairwell. Thanks for sharing!
BELLO MIO SU QUESTO PEZZO , C' È LA PIÙ BELLA RULLATA DELLA STORIA MUSICALE DI JOHN BONHAM . NONOSTANTE LA BUONA VOLONTÀ NON SI PUÒ RIUSCIRE A FARLA NELLO STESSO MODO . COMUNQUE COMPLIMENTI PER L'IMPEGNO .
Very nice George. I just played a gig with Greg Abate and Reggie Thomas said you would be on an upcoming show at the jazz showcase soon. Great cats! Have fun.
That bass and snare sound is it. The space in-between allowing the paiste's to sing is perfect. Always loved this tune. Those drums just resonate perfectly. Your sound and feel is amazing. Love the videos. 🤟
🔥 Wow, superb! Brilliant playing again! I love it all - especially the run going from 3:03 to 4:06: that hi-hat's rich "throaty" tone sings👌🏼 Like someone else commented: all of the set is splendid & the cymbals are brilliantly showcased in this song's take! I always appreciated the dynamics by which Bonham reacted to Page's cues and called some more - especially by using the cymbals to adorn phrases & solos. It made the beautiful difference and elevated it all - none of Page's solos would be as beautiful without Bonham's cymbals' punctuation & accents. ⚡️What a beautiful unit they made. ⚡️ Thank you for sharing your passion George🔥👌🏼
@@BONHAMOLOGY I think a really great follow-up video would be you setting up your kit on a freeway overpass at rush hour, and then replaying this song to all the stranded motorists below.
@@BONHAMOLOGY Welcome, you deserve the props 👊🏾 Solid playing, I think the room also has to do with how great everything sounds. Amazing research, correct me if I’m wrong but this song was recorded on the main floor of a huge home with a stairwell giving the echo/reverb sound to the drums?
Really and truly a sweet sound George!! Did Bonham ever use the stainless kits in the recording studios? If not it’s surprising to me because they have such a great sound. And George, you are a drumming artist.
I don't use it often. It's not as light and responsive feeling to me as the old ones. It's fine, but I prefer the vintage , when they are in good shape.
@@BONHAMOLOGY I noticed that too. It seems to be a little stiff on the rebound and not as alive compared to my original that's still in very good shape. Thanks George. Your video was great and love that Ludwig Chrome kit"
Georgie Porgie was a man, with his drumsticks in his hand. He felt the rhythm, he felt the groove. He made all the ladies get up and move 🤣
I dig it!!😂
😂❤
amazing again , the authentic sounds and playing
Man, that kick is killer.
If I was told that this was JB’s isolated track from the actual album version of WTLB, I’d believe it 100%. Absolutely spot on!
Should the remaining members of Led Zeppelin ever unite for a performance again, it would be a SHAME if you are not invited to be behind the kit.
This series so far has been awesome George!!!!! Thank you
I wonder if they are aware of you. I know Jason Bonham is their go-to guy for drums but it would be very cool to see you included.
I think George took a picture with Jimmy, its posted somewhere.

@@MM-lp5pp ha, yes. If he wants to give us the full JB experience he might as well do the job properly. 😉
Freaking unbelievable.
Wow that bass drum is thunderous!
When learning a Bonham song, the cymbal sequence is the last detail I pay attention to. So interesting to see it here.
absolutely fuckin genius man!
Beautiful George we are right there with you
Perfection...every single beat !
That sounds amazing, especially that kick. Perfect engineering!
That's simply perfect. Your versatility is unbelievable. 👏👏🤚
Thanks!
I'm out of superlatives lol. Those hi hat upbeats are the icing on the cake. "You, your good you!" (Analyze This)
This song hangs way back.love your sound.you were feelin it at the end.

The snare and kick drums sound so tasty, the way the snare stretches out the note really fills out the groove
REMARKABLY VERY GOOD 👍 EXACT BONZO SOUND ✌️😍
Damn. Standing ovation. Great freaking job and that kit sounds absolutely incredible. ❤️
🙏🏼
Well done, what a pleasure to watch. Your drums are tuned nicely, too.
Dang, that compressor is cookin'!
Super Uper Duper. That's a bangin a** bass drum lol Like the production.
Fantastic
Bonzo had Headley Grange in England.
George has Cheddar-ley Grange in Wisconsin.
(Cheesy Dad Joke)😬
Love it!! LOL 🧀
Probably one of your best yet, George! That kit sounds incredible.
The kick is definitely coming from the hip on this one
Wow, Wow, WOW!
Most Excellent 👍

I was just listening to this song like two minutes before I found this video
🥞👍🏻
I would kill for this drum kit. It's incredible
George found its own Headley Grange! Unbelievable, both sonically and masterfully!

I did it, check my vids!😁
Hats off to George sounds Great I hope there’s more treats

BEAUTIFUL!!! And the SOUND!!!!!!!!
Brilliant! Ivan did a great job with that echo... hats off to boffaya.
If I wasn't watching I'd swear that was Bonhams drum track!
That's a big compliment, thank you
I love the sound of that kit!!!!
I remember when this song came out... I said this is the drummer I want to follow!!! Thanks GEORGE for another lesson!!! GOD BLESS😃

What an excellent job of not only style but the sound is spot on ,great job taking US back..Play on Brother

What a rock solid groove - brilliant - and the kit sounds absolutely fantastic. Thanks George.

Flawless! Thanks so much, Mr. Fludas. And that kit! Amazing.
Perfect!
Oh yes! This stainless is making me fall in love with a drumkit all over again! Beautiful sound and groove as always Mr Fludas 👌
That was amazing!
Way to keep the beater off the head to let that amazing bass drum ring-out. Well done!
👍🏻
Great job! Love that kit too!
King George that bass drum sounds perfect on this. All the tuning matches dead on. It all is perfect. Your playing can't be out done
Thanks Steven, appreciate the compliments
Nailed it! This is the closest to Bohnam's playing & sound I've ever heard!! Very well done, cheers!
Brilliant! 👏🇦🇺✌️

A faithful reproduction as ever George, in very nearly your own Headley Grange stairwell.
Dude has the English and the swing. Asleep at the wheel.
woaw George incroyable you are the best merci ; )

good beats

This is great~ I wonder if you used a drumless track for this video. I think I hear your drum sound only. GOOD JOB
I used Moises to pull down most of the drum track after I recorded it. When I played along it was there.
Hey George- do you think Bonzo used a 20” 602 crash on the studio version of whole lotta love?
Possibly. Very likely because I think that's what he was playing at that time often. It does sound like one.
