- Some Castle Pines residents want to prevent a fast food restaurant from coming to their community and they thought they had prevented plans but construction could still be a possibility.
In my neighborhood we can’t even speak out against a huge hotel that’s turning in to a homeless shelter. That’s what we get for being a low income community.🤷🏻♀️

I lived in Douglas county for a chunk of my adult life. So Castle Pines.. Honestly you could drive 15 minutes north to Lincoln MacDonaldsright there….. 15 minutes south MacDonalds factory shop boulevard in Castle Rock. Honestly that county has plenty fast food joints, and so can’t even count how many Starbucks locations. Keep that community nice I wish I could still afford to live out there. Why trash it with more capitalism
Really some things should be left Alone. Castle Pines is a mirror image of how castle rock looked in 2000 and there was not a thing wrong with it. Now Castle Rock is nothing but a place for rich and lazy to blow money

At least these NYMBYs are able to stop fast food joints and gasoline stations. One day, I woke up, and there was like two McDonald's being built a couple of blocks from me out of nowhere. Then again, it's Aurora. So not surprised. Lol

If he's going to say a McDonald's equals more crime, show us his statistics and research on the topic. As far as traffic, what could one McDonald's generate? I doubt the cars will be backed up on the main highway because of it. Litter. Well, maybe a little. But really, people litter all the time. Where's the correlation that McDonald's creates more litter than another type of restaurant. Anyway, I don't care and there are more important things than this.
Castle Pines allowed a Wendy’s and a Starbucks to be built. Given that, it would be hard for city council to say no to a McDonald’s or any other fast food outlet. The proposed location is on the edge of the city’s commercial district and is on the main road through town. It is not anywhere near homes. This is a case of wealthy NIMBYs who look down on something as common as a McD.
