well, they are definitely influenced bei 'laibach'. i'd suggest songs like 'tanz mit laibach' or 'geburt einer nation' (a cover version of queen's 'one vision').
i'm not sure that unicorn is the right word!

@@montanus777 they may be influenced by laibach, but laibach is not nearly on the same level as rammstein and if you listen to the one or the other interview of rammstein, they had a lot more influence as just from one band, like kiss or Depeche Mode, but in the end, they put that all together and created there own music still and masterclassed it, with unique live performances and highly professional music videos 😊
Rammstein is Rammstein, there is nothing compareable.

By the way, "Engel" means "angel".
Another VERY interesting German band (well, German/Danish/Norwegian to be precise) is HEILUNG (German for "healing"). They are absolutely fucking incredible. What they do is re-creating the music of the Bronze-, Iron- and Viking age in Northern Europe based on historical artefacts such as runic inscriptions. They sing in Proto-Germanic, Old-Norse, Gothic, English and German among others and only use instruments that were available back then, all while sounding more Metal than most modern bands. Check out "Hamrer Hippyer", "Krigsgaldr" and "Alfadhirhaiti", all live of course!
If you want to see Flake going crazy with his dance moves you need to check out "Weisses Fleisch" live.
Definitely check out "Mein Teil" (live at Hurricane Festival 2013), it's one of their more crazier live performances.

Ngl, picking a favorite Rammstein member is really hard because they're all very unique and humble people, but Flake definitely has the sickest moves lmao
If you wanna see some more of Flake being a legend, you can react to Weisses Fleisch (Madison Square Garden) and Mein Teil (Hurricane 2013)! And while Rammstein's live shows are fire, their music videos are also absolutely worth a watch! I *really* recommend their 'Deutschland' mv, it has a crazy high production value and is like a little movie.

My son has been rocking out to the guys with me since he was born. I'm talking him to the concert September 2021. He'll be 11 years old! My favorite is Richard (lead guitar, usually has a red arm band on) and my sons favorite is Christoph Schneider (drummer).

I saw them live 8 years ago in Baltimore. I left the show, saying I could die a happy man now.
A band from Germany that's also interesting is "Eisbrecher". For example, look at their song "Was ist hier los" means "what's going on here", especially the lyrics of the song is great. But the level of Rammstein cannot be reached. Greetings from Germany.

I saw these guys live back whenever they toward in America a few years back and it was hands down the best live performance I've ever experienced my entire life and I've literally gone to hundreds of rock and roll And metal concerts they were hands down the best.

Yeah. There's a lot that needs saying here, my man.
The first point being that Rammstein are pretty unique, especially if you narrow it down to Germany (similar to some extent: Slipknot (USA) & System of a Down (USA).
Second is that the early albums are more of rock to metal than their later albums.
Personally, I love their live performance from 1998 Live aus Berlin (songs like 'Asche zu Asche', 'Bück Dich', 'Rammstein', 'Laichzeit', Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?'). ruclips.net/video/-LNUnxy4D3k/видео.html
The newer albums are more my type of music (songs like 'Rammlied', ' Ich tu dir weh', 'Waidmanns Heil', 'Führe mich').

There aren't any German bands like them. They are very much their own thing. However, if you like Rammstein and want to explore other German bands that are vaguely similar, Eisbrecher, ASP, Megaherz, Stahlmann, and OOMPH! would be good places to start. I also LOVE Unheilig.

Another good German band is Oomph! They're from Wolfsburg, Germany. They're not quite as detailed as Rammstein, but if you want some more German metal, that's a good option. There's also Eisbrecher from Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany.

Their original videos are very entertaining and creative too but it seems reaction videos on those often struggle with copyright issues in contrast to the live performance clips.
Another very good live performance is "Mein Herz brennt" from the Download Festival. One of the best official videos is a new song from last year called "Deutschland", great cinematography.
