Wow this is what I was just asking you in the last video! This is such a better response than I ever could have imagined, thank you for making this. All of these are going on the list!! Had only heard of Ittle Dew, Crystalis, and Crosscode before. Zelda is my favorite franchise and I love anything like that-besides the ones I mentioned in the last video (Tunic, Blossom Tales, Hob and Bastion) some games that feel like classic Zelda if you haven’t played them yet are: Okamī, the first two Darksiders games, and Hyper Light Drifter.
Hob was so good
I heard you and responded 😉
@@The_RadicalOne 🫶🥰
I never played Okami until the HD port released on PS3 and that game blew my mind. It's up there with the best 3D Zeldas in my opinion.
@@nkw1985 absolutely. Originally played on ps2, bought the hd remaster on switch but haven’t done it yet. Can’t wait to return to it though! Also picked up the sequel, Okamiden on ds, hopefully as amazing as the console game!
Deaths door, tunic, blue fire and the ocean horn series are a few I recommend.
Deaths door really blew me away, i didn't expect it to be as good as it is
I tried to like deaths door. Maybe I should give it another chance.
Tunic for sure!
other random ones: Anuchard, very puzzle focused dungeon crawler. It wasn't SUPER AMAZING from what I played, but ppl can watch gameplay footage and decide for themselves. Blossom Tales 1 and 2...2d SNES/GBA era zelda games, Archvale - zelda meets bullet heck, Baldo The Guardian Owls - top down 3d zelda clone that has allegedly had tons of free updates that turned it into a really great game, Cadence of Hyrule...I mean, obviously, but it's not a mainline zelda title so worth pointing out, Ocean Heart, another one with the SNES /GBA style, also the nautical theme kind of brings to mind Windwaker, rogue heroes ruins of tasos, very obviously zelda ispired roguelite, not played far enough into it to attest to its quality, Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, it's zelda inspired but more focused on being a silly narrative driven game. Unsighted - in the same vein as Crosscode, at least I hear them compared often. And the old, obvious example that is in contest with Skyrim to be the most ported game: Okami HD. These are the ones I could find in my collection with the most obvious Zekda DNA, HTH someone.
Death's Door is more souls than anything.
Blossom Tales 1 & 2 are hands down my favorite Zelda clones. They rank up there on the same level as some of my Zelda favorites.
Great choices
I usually don’t play through entire demos but I did with this one.. I’ll prolly end up picking them up at some point
Death's Door and Blossom Tales are also nice picks if anyone has that old-school Zelda itch. Nice video Reggie 😊😊😊
My favorite Zelda clone will always be Crusader of Centy, but Sylvan Tale and Alundra are good ones as well.
Good choices
ALUNDRA!!!!!
Gurumin in the PSP is like Zelda.
Very good choice. I love that game.
Love this video Reg! Thank you
More games for the backlog! Couple of my favorite Zelda-likes:
The Wild at Heart, has some Pikmin and Luigi’s Mansion gameplay with fun exploration and puzzles. Great story and art style.
Eastward, love this quirky game. Linear story driven game with a great mystery to uncover. Character switching mechanic for combat and puzzles.
Always great to hear your recommendations
Dope video. Solid picks. I really need to try cross code. I've been meaning to forever. Looks so good.
Joe!!!!
Hey I bought quite a few Steam games on Summer Sale from this recommendation and am halfway into ittle Dew 2+ after beating the first and these games are so good!! Thank you so much!
Great to hear!
I love Sylvan Tale, a Zelda like Game Gear game
And i'm playing 3d Dot game heroes, Ps3 exclusive Zelda Clone
Sylvan Tale is SO good. What a lovely little game.
Yeah I love 3d dot game heros I downloaded the rom been using rpcs3 and works great
Late comment, I can't keep up with videos. Work is absorbing every second of my life.
Great video, Reggie.
There’s a game called Reverie that reminded me of Zelda that I really enjoyed.
Yeah that one reminded me of earthbound and Zelda
Thank you for the crossing souls tip. Lots of fun references to the past with objects. Made me smile, and can buy it very cheap on steam or psn.
You are so welcome!
CROSS CODE looks way kewl, im doing training rite now, glad to see theres more action to come!!! Good vid!!!
This is a great video. I always love to see the clones, from me being a fan of the Zelda franchise.
All these games look really good. I've heard of CrossCode, but that one really stood out to me.
Right on
I can vouch for Sparklite, it's a roguelite-lite, as in it's a good entry point into roguelite style games, not super challenging, but just enough to stay engaging. However, it is very, very short from what I remember. Under 10 hours is what i beat it for on Switch, I don't remember if it unlocked any modes or anything, usually roguelites open up their games to new modes and mechanics as you play, but I don't remember this game doing that. I'd prob give it a 7 out of 10.
Had my eye on sparklite for a while and thanks to your video I've just bought it. It's currently on sale on the switch in the UK.
Hi , thank you for this cool video ! please, can you tell me what is the name of the game at 00:17 ? Thank you and have a nice day !
The Regginator coming thru a portal with some beautiful AI programs to hold us over until Judgement Day. Always great to hear you talk about games. Thanks for the recommendations!
What's the game he is playing at the beginning and the end of this video?
Those are some games I'll have to keep an eye out for. Thanks!
Great video Reggie as always you nailed it
I have to give cross code a try
Also what is this game at 0:20 ?
Edit: trinity trigger 😊 found it myself
Damn reggie i just want to know how you find time to test all this games. I need to step my gaming time up. Great games btw 🤘🤘🤘
Great video Reggie! My choices are Adventure Time: Secret of the Nameless Kingdom and Bastion. Even though I'm not much of a Zelda fan 😊.
Cello! Your alive!
Awesome games! Thanks for the heads up Reggie!🤗
You got it!
I'm pretty sure the original Ittle Dew was released physically first. I have it and had it for a good while before I ordered the second one. If I remember correctly, it was released, pulled/stopped, and then re-released later on.
what game is playing in the outro?
found it, if anyone was wondering, its trinity trigger.
Just purchased Arietta. Thanks for the suggestion!
Wanna go old school there is: Golden Axe Warrior, Neutopia I and II, Landstalker on genesis, Beyond Oasis, Alundra, lets throw in Goof Troop on snes too.
I' be been playing games since ' 97, beat tr2, gt1, ff7, mgs, re 1/2, pe 1/2 and others, but am minish cap, 1st zelda game for me and oh boy is hard to progress, is non linear experience and you have no clue what to do next so i stuck in 3rd dungeon with 2 more elements available but out of reach 😢
Ittle Dew looks great
Illusion of Gaia is a great game and I consider it to be like Zelda. Used to play it alot on SNES
I thought Tunic would be on the list. However it's actually much harder then a Zelda LTTP game. I liked that Arietta thing 👍. I gotta give it a try 😊
A few more recommendations from me:
Prodigal
TUNIC
Isles of Sea and Sky
It’s criminal that tunic and hyper light drifter aren’t on the list. Easily better than all the games mentioned
Not even close.
Sparklite - YES!
Arietta - Wholesome story 💖
Cross Code - Good game but too much puzzle in my opinion
Okay but what's that game you show at the beginning and end?
The Legend of Zelda
@@The_RadicalOne Not that one, I mean the one that looks more like an RPG and has a boss called Arachnea: Moonlight Predator.
F Yeah, Sparklite is great! Starts lil slow with upgrades, but well worth the initial grind.
Agreed. After that it gets really good
The Rad One Recs!
I recomend allundra on ps1 for a good lttp like. Also darksiders 1 for a good oot style game
You should make a list only with indie zelda like games. Eastward is good, action adventure with mother 3 aesthetics and storytelling.
Sparklight was awesome!
What game was it at the end
Reggie, Reverie would've made a fine addition to this list. 👍🏼
Good call!
Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos, Tunic, and if you enjoyed Zelda 2 then Phoenotopia Awakening. These are the 3 best that are not made by Nintendo.
What is the game at the very end of the video
Just FYI, the name of Crunchyroll's avatar is pronounced like "hee-meh". In Japanese you almost always pronounce all vowels, similar to Spanish.
The game I played that had the most similar feel to a Zelda game was The Touryst.
mm i played the touryst idk about that
I bought the physical copy of ittle dew 2 for switch but I could never beat that final boss.
Try it now, you might beat it with ease.
Hime is "he-may" for pronunciation
So these mainly are reminiscent of Link to the Past hey? Got any more like Ocarina of Time?
Hime, pronounced “he-may,” means “princess” in Japan.
I really like the legend of Zelda series of games but I don't know if I can get into more games like Zelda because that's just spending more money 😂 but, I really enjoyed immortals Fenyx rising but that was on gamepass 😊
3d dot game heros
Man, I wish they would re-release that. I want to play it so bad.
@@Louis-wp3fq Yeah, it's a shame it never got another release or port.
I first played ittle dew on the ouya.
Lil’Dew 2 is a great Zeldaesque game but I don’t think the first ones available
I’m wondering if we will get echos of power and exhos of courage
Hey have you tryd Einhander on ps1 I think you’d love it 😊👌
First real comment!! Within the first 10 views as well!! Hi Reggie!! From Dalton Georgia!!
Reggie! Light Crusader/Legend of Soleil is not one this list?!
Dunno why it’s apparently a crime to say Zelda like?! We do this with other series.. I thought about picking up some other games that are similar.. But I always stop myself being my LOZ backlog is big enough!! I am curious about them tho
I waited the whole video to see what was that 3D game from the intro (not Zelda, the second one) and it didn't show ¬¬
😆 Trinity Trigger. I was going to add it in this video but it felt more like a Secret of Mana title.
@@The_RadicalOne Thanks!!
Let’s gooo baby!!
MJ shouldn't have smashed Umbrella Corps out of your hand like that, I wanted to hear your review. I love both your channels, but MJ should go stand in the corner and think about what he did.
Tunic too
B4 i watch alundra should be on this list
do you know a game call EASTWARD? i think looks amazing...
Aeroheart is missing
No Eastward or Blossom Tales!? 😮 i have played many of them in your video but I think they are mediocre except Cross Code 😊
So Zelda is only 2d platformer
idk man everytime Western try to make games or animations that mimic Japanese, the artstyle came out pretty bad or cringe. But maybe the gameplay is good.
Cap! Nothing is like Zelda!!!!
Oh its all 2D zelda. Thats disappointing
actual good games > Baldo, Cat Quest, Immortals Fenyx Rising
Why is every character a woman these days? Just let me play as a dude again please game developers!
How these garbage games are similar to zelda !!
@@AhmadHazzazi-b2z quit capping 🧢
