Luke, the amount of work you do to show us COOL, EPIC videos is so appreciated. I ordered my GO2 yesterday because of you, i am sooo excited for it to arrive. Thank you 💪
Thanks so much! Glad you are enjoying my videos. Have fun with your new camera! It really is great you won't regret your buy. I have more videos coming about ways to use this camera
I currently use a GoPro for my channel. I think this Go2 may be the one device that may take my channel to a whole new level. Thanks for the comparison video bro. Very informative. 🤙🏽
Luke hi, great review. For the low light, do you recall the settings on the Go 2? Pro/ Reg Vid, 1440 or 1080, 24/30/50 fps? Last, did you select 'color plus' or 'remove grain' options on export via the app? I just bought one and trying to find best low light settings. Cheers
I don't know what your settings were on the Hero 9 but I have never had such a shaky image like you did in the beginning, even when riding my MTB. Those micro shudders on the Go 2 are pretty annoying and wouldn't suit my kinda filming.
I'm also quite surprised, I don't think the shaking should be so intense on the Gopro. Even with boost off, the shaking should be on a slower pace. Would be nice to add what settings were on. I guess it wasn't with Boost + linear? That said, I also have the GO 2 and I absolutely love everything about it. It has an incredible stabilization, but I would say that the best thing about it is not something you can see by doing specs comparisons. The best thing about it is how convenient it is. It is just from another world. I am into running and hiking, all sorts of outdoor videos. And the most annoying thing is when you need your hands for something and you don't know where to put that big gorillapod. Viewers don't see that part of the videos, but for me, it is something that takes a lot of fun out of recording. With the GO 2 it just takes 1 second to hook it back on the cap or on the necklace. If you're hiking with friends and want to record something, they are not going to have to wait for you all the time while you're trying to make nice shots. You can really live the moment with friends and record at the same time!
The absolutely best thing about the go 2 is that it's an _actual_ action camera. You don't have to set it up, you pull it out of your pocket and start shooting right away. It's soo fun to use! Want a POV shot? Clip it on your shirt or hat in three seconds! Handheld shot? Bam, it's already in your pocket, just push a button! It's with you anywhere, love it!
Thank you for a professional review Luke! Very interesting since because of the recent problems with GoPro we are looking for alternatives to Hero 9. First, in October, the possibility of using of the remote and mic adapter was suddenly taken away, totally without any warning or explanation. It took them several months to fix the mic adapter connection and we (in Europe) will have to wait until March to buy and pay for a “new” remote that can only be used with Hero 8 and 9 and with what looks like a shorter range! Up till then we could control several different models of GoPro cameras from the same remote (which also worked for Hero 9 for a couple of weeks after the purchase). The final straw was when the preview during recording (for Hero 9), also abruptly stopped working after a firmware "update", without any warning or explanation! An absolutely necessary function for most of our productions! GoPro has since then stated, months later, that the preview never will be possible to use because of “battery capacity problems”!
Wow i really empressd for insta360 Go 2 ,,,Go 2 is win ,,,love your review from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 Now i convert to Insta Go 2 ,,,,This camera is better for travel or cinematic viedos ,,,,,
I don’t wanna be annoying but if you use GoPro 9 in Linear (as settings) and not Wide or SW it’s obvious that it has a lesser stabilization man. Of course the Go 2 with wide is way better. It has no sense of compare them with this 2 different settings.
It really hasn't been a limitation for me. I rarely record for more than 10min at a time and even if I did hitting restart onec isn't a big deal. Also I have used this camera for recording a video were I was using it periodically all day long and I never used all 32 GB. The offloading is pretty fast but I have only used the wifi to export 1 or 2 clips at a time and we'll that was pretty fast not sure how long it would take to offload all 32gb. I usually plug it into my PC to offload the hole thing and it only takes like 10min. I haven't used cloud storage so not sure about that.
Did you have the GoPro 9 on boost mode? What iso did you have the GoPro on? You can you can raise to 6400 so they both can have crappy bright low light footage 😂 alternatively you can switch the color from GoPro to flat
I think the one x2 is probably better for traveling. I took it on this trip and really liked how the videos turned out - ruclips.net/video/0EbRNhLf1Uc/видео.html
I have a hard time believing that stabilization test. I have the Hero9 and I have never even when shaking it had footage that unsteady. I personally think the go2 is overpriced considering many people snagged their hero9's at $299 at release. I think it would sell well at $250. Im going to pick the camera with a good battery and a screen. My Hero9 still clips onto my hiking backpack and mounts to my helmets just fine. Im sure there is a market for it though, I typically use 2.7k on my gopro so the missing 4K isnt a big deal.
I agree. One thing they don’t say about the Insta2GO is you have a recording limit and a small internal memory that, once filled, you can’t just swap a micro SD card out with a new empty one.
the gopro with the horizon level feature is not very stable. theres a test by Ben authentech in the gopro 9 vs insta 360 1 inch, and osmo action. and they both performed better than the gopro 9 horizon level. gopro 9 is stability is the best if its on hypersmooth boost. not horizon level. horizon level is more focused on if you turn the camera to keep the horizon level. but its not good in managing small shakes.
Yeah this dude is not even doing a fair comparison! I was like wtf happened to first clip my gopro is so stable and how come he's not having stability.
No port for mic. The sound quality is not bad it's actually pretty usable. Yes it does have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth that will give you a live view and control the camera.

I wanted to buy a GoPro, but when I see how much options for recording the Insta360 Go 2 has and how small it is and when I also think about the overheating problems of the gopro 9 & 10...I think more and more this is the better solution. The only thing that I don't like is the "small" runtime (just for my planed areas of application)...but for it's size it's really okay. The more videos I see from this little thing, the more I want one 😅🔥 The low-light test kicked me totally out...I have never thought that this is possible 😆 really strong performed this tiny cam 💪 GoPro is in an impasse right in the moment. Good to see that other companies are doing their homework.
Honestly this camera blows me away every time I use it. I'm always surprised at how good it looks. I would definitely take it over the GoPro if I could only choose one
Great comparison. Can the Insta360 Go2 shoot in log or flat? You have absolutely the best 360 reviews and tests. Really enjoy your channel. But... what’s up with the lounge-lizard music on this one? 🤣
Thanks glad you're enjoying my videos! No it doesn't shoot log there is a vibrant and standard export settings when you export the video through the app But it isn't really an actual flat cooler profile. The music... I don't know it just seemed to fit the mood I was in when I was making this video

It was several different things poot together. There was a insta360 selfie stick with a small rig clamp on the end and that was holding the cross mount that I'm not sure what brand it is. Just some accessory that came with something else. I've had it forever so I'm not sure were it came from. Possibly a mic stand or something

Man I just don’t buy what you’re selling. At 1:10 you’re telling me that’s the GP9 on the right? You say you have horizon lock on but do you have stabilization with boost on? I don’t know man seems like you’re going out of your way to make the GoPro look worse than go2. I’m no fan of the GP9. I have one and it pisses me off daily but I put it through so crazy stuff and it’s never as bad as you’d have us think. Kick back?
Have you tried turning on the horizon leveling? it looks terrible on the GoPro without the max lens mod, which is another $100. I clarifed that in this video. And yes I had boost stabilization on. Also keep in mind I'm absolutely pushing these cameras to their limits with how much I'm shaking them for the purpose of more easily telling which one's better. I'm not saying that the GoPro is bad I'm just saying that the GO 2 can definitely compete with it, which is impressive. And no this is not a paid add, I'm just doing an honest review.
@@LukeEdwin How does horizon levelling look terrible? Yes it crops in but that doesn't make it look terrible. As for stabilization, I've had my GP9 mounted directly to my gravel bike, my chest, a helmet with very usable footage. I've also hand held it trail running and my footage was never as shaky as yours. I still think the GP9 is garbage because of it's constant freezing issues but when it's actually working it excellent.
Still beautiful video, for all the efforts that you put in to make your videos in kind the cource creaking trees ect ja add a blue thumb again. thank you for his comparison.

The insta360 Go 2 isn't a 360 camera. It is made by the company insta360 but it is just a one lens action camera and it is blowing the gopro out of the water!
The more I use the GO 2 the more I realize how much better it is then the gopro. Not just the stabilisation but also the clarity and colors and how it handles looking straight into sunlight it looks way better

30 minutes out of the case and over an hour I think when it's in the case. I don't remember exactly. It says on the insta360 website

I still think the GP9 is garbage because of it's constant freezing issues but when it's actually working it excellent.
impressive!
loved insta360 go 2 realy good
Still beautiful video, for all the efforts that you put in to make your videos in kind the cource creaking trees ect ja add a blue thumb again. thank you for his comparison.
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying my videos

Haha! Have fun with your new camera
Pretty sure somthing is messed up with your gopro because wow mine is such more stable than that despite vigorous shaking.

Love the music choice

u cant compare the flowstate of an 360 and a nornal gopro , use a gopromax and insta360 ;) u see it will be the same
The insta360 Go 2 isn't a 360 camera. It is made by the company insta360 but it is just a one lens action camera and it is blowing the gopro out of the water!
GOPRO KILLER FOR SURE! ESPECIALLY FOR FPV PILOTS 😈😍💪🏽😜
O ya for sure!
Yea for FPV def.. losing 120grams in weight worth it..
Insta360 Go 2 is impressive

Well i was just proven wrong 1:07 CRAZY! How they got this good for less the £300
How did slapping the viewer in the face become a thing? Might be fun to do, but not so much to watch.
Wow fast update..
Thanks for video, love from INDIA
Glad you enjoyed it!
Tiny but mighty 👍👍
Yeah, I already sold my GoPro 9 and now waiting for my Go 2. Currently I have Insta360 One X2. Bye bye Gopro.. 😅
The more I use the GO 2 the more I realize how much better it is then the gopro. Not just the stabilisation but also the clarity and colors and how it handles looking straight into sunlight it looks way better
Très intéressant
Great comparison and funny to see the fanboys hating that such a small camera can compete!
Wonder when go pro is gonna reduce in size.......!?
Even 2k is useles, 5k is just a big number to sell more
