Good for him, but that doesn't mean he's not going to take crap from his fanbase here and there. It's easier to create when you don't have to face criticism. Spin on his "it's easier to criticize than it is to create" bull hooooeh.
Could be, but could be due to filming this in 4k and this thing being "only" 1440. Thing could actually be "real" 1440 within a 2160 frame and so the bars are just there to fill it out.
I would suggest it's just a visual cue to highlight that it's a clip from insta360 and not the A-cam. Well trained eye obviously recognises the quality and FOV but it just makes that realisation a bit faster and easier for beginners

I can relate so hard to the whole “if you don’t like public filming” thing. I tried to get into film, but my socially awkward self couldn’t find the courage to pull out a camera and start recording in the middle of a park and attracting a bunch of attention.
I was exactly like you but after doing it for a couple of times I actually started enjoying that feeling. Truth is that people looking at you are not judging you, they are wishing they were as confident as you.
And you’d be correct. The instructions on the box even say not to use it with any bumps. Even the slightest bump and it falls off instantly as seen in all the other real reviews on RUclips. It’s basically only for having it on sitting at dinner or something. Now there ARE secure clips and mounts you can use for it but then of course it gets much larger and you might ask yourself why you aren’t using a 4K GoPro for the same price since the mount is the biggest factor then in terms of size.
magnets are pretty reliable and 1st 360 Go only weighted 20g very easy to hold. Eversince I had ModMic for my Headphones my trust in magnets changed, a tiny one can have insane strength.
I had the opportunity to test this before release. and ill say this. 1 if you jump when its mounted to your chest it will fall of. 2. the hat case was awesome, even in my most violent of headbangs, it wouldn't fall off. So, I think it really depends on the use case.
Technology is amazing these days... and getting smaller 😂 awesome video man. I love my mirrorless cameras, but they are tiring to carry around all the time on hikes 😅

Maybe an insta 360 hoodie or t-shirt with a built in magnet (idk how that would wash) that way you just gotta wear the shirt and don't need to remember the pendent... idk great stuff pete, love the new uploads you've been crushing 2021!
Is quality so bad that you don't even show it's footage full screen and keep it in a small frame box? What kind of footage you can record from the chest? It will fall off the magnet in any active sport... Where is the selfie stick? So many questions... hard pass. I'll stick with my old gopro for now.

I bought the first generation and sent it back straight away. Once you've had something better, it's nothing for you. Trust me, in real life conditions, the picture is not great. :/ but for the size it is of course "ok"
@ yes that is what i worried about. I dont see any reason or advantage in size compared to my old GOPRO 9... it is bigger yes but top pro quality and easy to use on a selfie sticks + outstanding stabilization. We are not in the spy movies filming industry, the size does not matter ;)
