This is one of the most under-rated songs in the canon of American song. It's too bad the lyric was kinda thrown together. The interplay of woodwinds and brass is exquisite.

LUCIANO...WHAT VERSION OF MOONLIGHT SERANADE IS YOUR PRESENTATION...I PURCHASED IT ON A CD SO I COULD BURN TO PLAYLIST FOR THE CAR ETC. ...HOWEVER IT WAS A DIFFERENT VERSION BY THE SWINGFIELD BAND...THE ONE YOU HAVE POSTED IS MY FAVORITE...CRAIG

You have to have been born before 1940 to fully appreciate the significance of this magnificent melody in the lives of so many who gave so much.

I think this is one of the most ignorant comments I've read all day! Congratulations!

MeowShawnMeow You are obviously a moron who lacks the moral courage to use his or her own name and hides his or her identity behind an idoiotic tag--have a glass of warm milk and go to bed sweetie-pie.

+John Colas Do you really believe one has to have been born in a certain era to truly enjoy a type of music? If that being true, no one can truly enjoy Mozart, or Beethoven.....

I was born in 1945, play trombone duets with a lady who was born in 1990, and we love playing this kind of music all the time. "Stars Fell On Alabama," "Stardust," "Chattanooga Choo Choo," "Louisiana Fairytale," etc., etc. So, fellow, you are flat wrong. These old songs are great, and people will continue to enjoy for many decades to come.

I disagree with you. I'm 35 and I absolutely love and appreciate this song. I listen to it all the time.. Like I am right now on Pandora.
