DM_Roleplays she was pretty sloppy in the dance though, that’s why she got ninth. She has some days where she’s really on it, but this day she looked a little too lax and she had a lot of sloppy parts.

Kendall is a nice dancer, but her mom needs to stop protecting and excusing her when she faces competition or criticism in order for her to grow as a dancer. I remember that Jill said this dance was harder than any other because kendall had to hold the shoes while turning, but both Chloe and Maddie held a jacket the same way performing Trapped while turning and did a really good job at a younger age. Jill disrespected both Abby and Gia, but dance teachers must give critics and corrections. Same while competing against Chloe or now with Brynn

I think the reason she got 9th was cause 1. She looked scared mostly through the piece 2. Abby was right she was off on some places And 3. Just because she has amazing turns, which I agree, it doesn't mean that she's gonna get a really high score. 9th was good for the dance that she did. No hate.
This choreo works for Kendall really well. If Abby gave her more attention and more beautiful contemporary or lyrical solos, rather than jazz, Kendall can definitely be up to par with maddie
+Emilly Zalayet Maddie did dance with a prop four time I think. Her first solo lily and rose she dance with a prop a rose it place first. Then with her solo Hellen Keller a doll it place 4th. Then with her solo I can't find the world it also place 1st. Then in the group dance trapped it place 1. Kendall problem does not lie with the prop but with her dancing. I have seen Kendall dance worst without a prop she need to work on her technique. That What cause Kendall lose not a pair of pointe shoe that sat on the stage for half her dance.
I love how Kendall does a turn sequence with pointe shoes in hand, but I've heard her day maddies turns were off because her headpiece was uneven (the woods solo I think). Double standard much
I really think this dance could beaten Maddie's, I cannot say that kendall's received a choreography less good, I think she had a big chance but she did not take it.

If you look closely when Kendall kinda slips when she lifts her leg at 0:56 abby said “what was that all slipping?” But the producers changed it to “what was that? That was sloppy”🤭
I think Abby should make Maddie dance with pointe shoes, or any prop for that matter, to see how well Maddie does. It's unfair that she sets the other girls up to fail and always gives Maddie the same style of dance every time
I'm really proud of Kendall and I think she has improved a ton, but everything she did in this just seemed kind of choppy, sloppy and not smooth. Nothing really flowed into the next movement. Her technique has gotten so much better but still not really top 3 material. I love the dance and song, and she did good with what she was able to do at her level. Another thing is Kendall NEVER changes her facial expressions. Like ever. I've gone back and watched most of her solos multiple times, and she does not know how to emotionally execute or act a part at all. But I like Kendall as a person and want to see her do well, IF it is deserved. And I think that this deserved more like a 5th or 6th, but there must have been some amazing dancers there. Good job Kendall!
Ok Guys I feel like an idiot because I'm three years late but everyone is mad that she scored ninth. Obviously, she did pretty good here. But remember, they do one dance in which the judges actually judge them (competition dance), and another dance for the show. So she might've done well in the show, what we saw here, but she might've done not so good in the competition dance.
Kendall's amazing and she did really well in this dance but we didn't see the other people she competed against, they were obviously amazing if they beat her. We can't really judge if she deserved to get ninth or not because we didn't see the competition she was up against.

However, it was a lyrical/contemporary piece and I think Abby and Gianna, while choreographing, should have kept to pointed feet (despite the piece being about 'battled feet'. Also, I think the back-handspring at 0:52 through to 0:56 ruined the piece because it didn't fit in with the rest of the choreography! It was not Kendall's fault that she got the place she got, it was the choreography :) I still loved the dance though :)
I think the point of the solo is a dig on Kendall. The title "Battled Feet" say Kendall has bad feet so she cant point them good so it has to be flex. And the back handspring is her lyrical moves aren't smooth so they had to do acro trick. Pointe shoes shows that she needs to instead of walk with it, wear it to improve her sloppy feet. I didn't say Abby and Gianna said it but I think they were thinking it. But anyways if the shoe fits wear it.

There's videos online of it and...its not great. Aldc definitely isnt a great studio for ballet.
