It’s my understanding that they should start shipping within the next two weeks. I know that Carter Vintage Guitars in Nashville said they had some on the way.
Still sounds like a pickup, but does a better job of reproducing the characteristics of the wood and body shape than a lot of USTs do. I'm fortunate to play my guitars in an environment where I can use an Anthem with 100% mic signal, no pickup, and not have feedback issues. Of course that means I get a significantly more natural sound. But if that wasn't the case and I needed to go with a straight pickup signal, this would be a very intriguing option.
About your Anthem, there is a common misconception. There is actually no way to have Mic only. When blended toward the "mic" it's actually the mic and pickup mixed through a crossover. The mic is carrying all the high notes and the pickup is handling all of the lows. It sounds very natural, as if it was all mic but it isn't. It's not a secret either, that's how it is designed and the Baggs folks will tell you that. That is actually how you can play without feedback issues because all the potential feedback notes are filtered out of the mic through the crossover. Just thought you might like to know.
@@155poiuytrewq thank you, that's great info to help understand the product better! I'm still equally intrigued by the idea of an Anthem-style system that uses a HiFi in combination with a mic, rather than a UST. It would be great to have the option of using different levels of mic input yet still have it sound natural. I hope they come up with a combination like that in the future.
Thank you for watching. I demonstrated the tone control in a few sections of the video. You can use it to tame a bright guitar, or darken up the tone of the guitar, or brighten a darker sounding instrument. Keep in mind that all guitars have different voicing, so the tone control will help compensate for that. Hope that helps😊
Great video thx. Do you know when it will be available in stores / online. LR Baggs dont bother to answer :).
