Wild world will always be my favorite. There was less to do from ppls standards now, but it has a coziness that is inimitable. The music, the villager’s personalities, the way it was so unpretentious… idk. I feel sad that most ppl got introduced to AC through new horizons. The special feeling that the GameCube and ds version had can never be replicated
Took the words straight from my mouth, no other game has the same feel as Wild World. New Horizons just feels like a decorating sim, the new community is honestly quite toxic. I miss the old animal crossings, glad to still have the old games to play tho
I don't dislike New Horizons, but I don't count it as a true Animal Crossing game. Perhaps for very young children. Babby's first games aren't inherently bad, but for an AC, it's a tragedy to its ancestors.
I'm not too proud of being introduced to AC through NH. It's not bad, but the old games, from what I've seen, seem more lively. So in a way, I do wish I was introduced to AC sooner.
WW was the first AC game I owned. I think I’d argue it brought in the most significant changes for the series and this video confirms it for me! Even if the graphics didn’t age well I have a soft spot for it.

8:50 I wish in NH though they added another coffee worker along with brewster. It would be cool to see him hire someone thats not a resident. (Maybe you could see your villagers working for him sort of like in tomodachi life)
New Leaf is my favourite but Wild World is still the best “Animal Crossing” game imo. Great dialogue with variety between rudeness and kindness, character backstories, blocky graphics and models (really like this) and lots of content!
yessss i love how blocky the ww character models are i love the whole aesthetic of the game, new horizons is beautiful but it makes me sad when i see newer players put down the graphics of the old games. ww is the most aesthetically charming ac game to me
The Message of the Day and Talking to Myself posts were really cool. They helped keep the message board active even if there were no events going on. Also, some of them are crazy as frick.

You know, I think its kinda funny how it was a store in the museum in Wild World & City Folk, became its own separate facility in New Leaf, only to be part of the museum again in New Horizons. I mean, with how we can change our hair using a mirror, I guess there's no point to bring Shampoodle back in New Horizons. You know what would've been fun to have in New Horizons? How about a Cornimer mask that we can craft? OK, I think I should revisit Wild World one of these days. Seems like I've been playing New Horizons too much. Then it was Wild World in 2014-2015, than New Leaf for a short amount of time, Happy Home Designer was next, than City Folk breifly, than Pocet Camp was the first game I really remembered. Then New Horizons. Now that I have a 3DS, I have New Leaf and Wild World. I wanna get a Wii U so I can get City Folk and Splatoon 1.
You have to upgrade the shop to Nookington's. Before you can unlock that upgrade, you'll need to have a player from another town (another DS) visit and shop at your store.
Katie, Cornimer and Lyle and Shrunk aren't in New Horizons if you want some of them you have to use an amiibo which is an extra not in the base game itself and cornimer doesnt exist at all
They are still in the game, even if some require an extra purchase of an amiibo (or the DLC). Saying they're not in the game is like saying that the GameCube game doesn't have islanders, just because you had to purchase a GBA and link cable to access them. I really like the variety of flowers and hybrids they added in wild world. Having all that color brightens up the town

Yeah, Katie only appears if you played online (or perhaps local multiplayer), so not everyone got to see her.

In Wild world you could also wave at villagers when you click at them from far away, I think this was also on City Folk, no idea on the other games.
