I can't believe Gracie still doesn't have a role in New Horizons even after the final update😭 No car washing minigame, no shop, not even any furniture sets?!?

I understand that customizing a cute little island is fun, but that's not what made Animal Crossing special to me, it was the little experiences, it was the fact that I was interacting with a small little world with characters that actually felt like people... I hope one day we can return to THIS Animal Crossing. Heck, I'd even take a remake of the one of the first two games, with no new major features addded, that's how baddly I wish the series would return to its original state!
I agree! There was just something so quaint about the first game with all of the small details, especially the ones that seemed so foreign to the average American. It's the game that made you feel the most a piece of the world
I miss being able to ask for errands in Animal Crossing! And in the original they were real deal wild goose chases that had you going to nearly all your villages to get an errand done. I also miss the NES games, fond memories of my brother trying to sell me Balloon Fight for 999,000 bells! New Horizons should definitely add the gold/silver statues of the player that you could place down wherever. Lastly NH's center of town isn't the same as the wishing well or the tree from NL

I miss that item like I do for other features and items that are not in Animal Crossing: New Horizon.

@@elizabethbentley2582 You are absolutely right! The nook phone is perfect to call villagers! They should add that as a feature to the phone. When calling a villager there could be choices of asking to hang out with them, outside, calling them over to your house, or even meeting with them at the mueseum or somewhere else. Plus, there would be choice to just talk to them by nook phone instead of in person. There could be special dialogue for events, holidays, even dialogue for how your villager is doing, whether it is there mood, if they are sick, and maybe one where you call them while they sleep.

Some of these would be hard to implement, and some of these are just obsolete, but a lot of these could easily be put back into New Horizons. I hate to say it but even with the new big update we got, the game is still a little dry compared to past titles. Copper could have his own room in the town hall building. How about a third expansion to Nook's Cranny adding a grocery store room, this section of the store would exclusively sell food items, like meals, handheld snacks like donuts and sodas, and any fruits or vegetables that you already have growing somewhere on your island. Speaking of fruits, let's also bring back exotic fruits like mangos, durians, and bananas and they can only be found on Kapp'n islands like vines and glowmoss. Have bananas grow on palm trees like coconuts do, but maybe make their trees a different color. You know those dark-colored trees in the bug section of the museum? Have durians and mangos grow on those. Heck, maybe implement some of the other exotic plants we see in the museum and slap those on tropical Kapp'n islands. There's just so many ideas here. Still so much potential to make a great game even BETTER! Oh, and since we had a Mario crossover we should also have a Legend of Zelda one for their next anniversary.
Many of these would have been awesome to have again for sure, but I'll never know why 9 and 14 didn't stay for the rest of the series. One could guess it was dropped because they couldn't figure out how to do that on the DS, but that doesn't explain why they never tried to add this back... I suppose you can get creative with some of these. For example, it’s not a dump, but I made a: Trade Center by my Nook Shop, but it is a shame a lot of these didn’t return or got scrapped for other ideas. Also, the password idea was revolutionary. Definitely something modern day Nintendo could never top.
While they never did bring back the playable NES games, I’m glad that New Leaf had hidden games on the 3ds and Wii U fortune cookie prizes. I have so many awesome memories playing Deserted Island Escape on the Wii U replica.
The only mod I know lately on New Horizons is in treasure islands where it’s been modded to cover up all beaches and riverbeds so many items to be picked up are in display.
You can keep playing, but the year will always be wrong after that. It's really not a big deal though, since they rarely mention the year anyway other than New Year's Eve/Day (and an occasional line from Gulliver).
Honestly they need to bring back Copper. not because i love him but because I NEARLY HAD A HEART ATTACK LOOKING FOR APOLLO. I found a lost item and then i asked Shino if it was hers and she said "I think i saw Apollo with it... i think.... maybe.." So then like "alright bet😊" so i go looking for him for 30minutes......30..... minutes.. i searched Able sisters, Nooks cranny, all my villagers houses. (cause i thought he was hanging out with one of them like last time) And i even searched the air port, town hall, AND THE ENTIRE MUSEUM... TWICE! I got so worried, i thought the game messed up Apollo's data or something and as i was gonna search my own house in a desperate attempt just to see if for some odd reason he'd be there. i see him sitting along the edge of the beach, just enjoying the view. never before have i felt so relief and frustration all in one... at animal crossing.😭
@@iamjohnporter67 Yea im fine with him giving hints as to where the villagers are. i just want to know something because sometimes trying to find a specific villager is a bit annoying.
Hey I would love for you to do a ranking of animal crossings! I can’t find a good one anywhere, and it seems you have awesome taste in animal crossing!
You have to achieve perfect town status and then maintain it for two weeks or so. Then Farley pops out of the wishing well one time to give you the golden axe, and then you never see him again. 😂
The trading code system has also been completely reverse engineered, and this first was done while the game was still new. There are websites you can use to generate any code for any item. Its a huge cheat, and I understand why it was removed. But I still like it because I'm a big fat cheater.
Omg they put Groundhog Day in the game 🥺 ( it’s only celebrated in the United States and it is low key the dumbest holiday ) but omg it’s cute tho !! N they do it in the game just like in New York lmao that’s amazing
I wish that in ACNH that we could have the permanent golden trees again. Like, we had a final update and....it didn't at least keep some things from the older version?!?! I will tell you this, dropping multiple items on the floor at once is sweet. Man, I wish it was just like how it was in the past. It's just not the same anymore.....:(
Many of these things only happen at specific dates/times or after certain accomplishments. If there's anything in particular that you're wondering about, just ask.
I mean, technically Gracie's car cleaning mini game is in New Horizons as you get a new feature where you can wipe & clean furniture causing a special sparkle on them in Happy Home Paradise. Just set up a car & wipe it clean with sparkle...oh & this would be more fitting if using Gracie's amiibo! I can probably see why the bonus NES games weren't included in City Folk & New Leaf, especially with the virtual console being a thing. Rather have demos like Super Smash Bros Brawl? New Horizons on the other hand, we have NES games as part of the Switch Online service...but is that really saying much? Oh boy, Cherry Blossom Festival would've been a fun event to have at the plaza on New Horizons. Just have the Turkey Day event but give it a Cherry Blossom season skin! I mean, with asking villagers for jobs, that can keep you busy while playing Animal Crossing. I wonder why this isn't a thing anymore. Technically, the player statue would return as a furniture item in Happy Home Designer & New Leaf as the Villager statue. And Sports Fair! Why isn't this in the newer games? I think its hilarious to see your villagers try & fail as they participate in the activities that are held. Wow, there have been so many features from this game that haven't returned at all! Great video as always, Jeff!

Sweet. I was literally just thinking earlier today and other days this week that I was hoping you would make an updated version of this.
I wish they would bring the cherry blossom festival back, especially now that we can actually eat the food
13:57 MY CUTE PECAN
I suppose you can get creative with some of these. For example, it’s not a dump, but I made a: Trade Center by my Nook Shop, but it is a shame a lot of these didn’t return or got scrapped for other ideas.
Also, the password idea was revolutionary. Definitely something modern day Nintendo could never top.
Hey just so you know, I love your videos ! Thanks for making this old game still alive, I'm still playing too so it's great :-)
resetti begrudgingly pretending to be a groundhog for groundhog day is extremely funny

Twiggy: oh look! Gracie's in town! (sees villager) nope. (turns to leave)
They really skipped so many icons like Cops and Gracie 😭😭
i love the music in the gamecube game!
Tooo
13:39 Well, 16 if you count the islanders!
While they never did bring back the playable NES games, I’m glad that New Leaf had hidden games on the 3ds and Wii U fortune cookie prizes. I have so many awesome memories playing Deserted Island Escape on the Wii U replica.
Teleports behind snow man
"Nothin per snow, kid"
I like how it was much easier to get Gulliver items from him in GameCube animal crossing. All you had to do was talk to him and he’d give you an item.
I love this video sm, taught me a lot of things about the older animal crossing games :)
super cute!!!! the unique quirky things are always the most interesting and fun. i want it back 😅😅
Why does the villager firing the gun at the beginning of the sports fair KILL me
If only there was a mod adding back the features into New Horizons or back-porting them to the original Animal Crossing
The only mod I know lately on New Horizons is in treasure islands where it’s been modded to cover up all beaches and riverbeds so many items to be picked up are in display.
It'll be a very depressing day when January 1, 2031 comes, since the GameCube clock runs out then. Unless it continues if you play on Wii?
You can keep playing, but the year will always be wrong after that. It's really not a big deal though, since they rarely mention the year anyway other than New Year's Eve/Day (and an occasional line from Gulliver).
@@jvgsjeff Ah okay! Thanks for the reply Jeff! And great video as always. ☺️👍
Hmmm I guess Gracie is too sassy and assertive for the newer generations.
Why is the ball toss event music so chaotic lmao
But yea bring copper back and let him tell you where all your villagers are. please.
You know that would not be a bad idea. If Cooper were to return he would give you a hint to your villagers would be located at.
@@iamjohnporter67 Yea im fine with him giving hints as to where the villagers are. i just want to know something because sometimes trying to find a specific villager is a bit annoying.
@@starpower1884 Yeah most times I find them in the Museum just wondering around.
Jeramiha, Olivia, Gruff, and Kabuki! Goodness you have some of my villagers from my old gamecube town of Catville.
Gracie: Just move your right hand as quickly as you can!
Me who’s left handed: ;-;
Hey I would love for you to do a ranking of animal crossings! I can’t find a good one anywhere, and it seems you have awesome taste in animal crossing!
It’s a shame these didn’t make it but u know what let’s be thankful for what we got
The original game was a jewel! 😭😭🥰
You forgot about the igloos! That's another feature I would still love to see in New Horizons, besides just the tent
The igloos returned in New Leaf.
I would have loved Lighthouse duty and balls in ACNH. Oh and the sports fair!!
It would give something more to do.
I DIDNT KNOW YOU COULD DROP MUTIBLE THINGS IN ANIMAL CROSSING?! how come i find out about this now of all days?!
AWWW THE SNOWMANN
i think it would be cool if they released one of the older animal crossing games on the switch just with acnh’s graphics and nothing else changed
2:55 I wish that NH just let you launch the NSO NES/snes etc from inside the game of new horizons.
Nintendo stopped being generous, now you have to pay an online to access those 😂
I never saw Farley, in all the years I played!! How can I get him?
You have to achieve perfect town status and then maintain it for two weeks or so. Then Farley pops out of the wishing well one time to give you the golden axe, and then you never see him again. 😂
@@jvgsjeff oooooh ok haha thanks!! Your vids are awesome by the way!!
3:13 HIS TUNE Lmaooo
8:55 An Islanders that lives out of the town/city: *Instantly shows Ankha*
14:57 NOO! Poor snowman!!!
I always was creeped out with Pete when he flew for some reason the first time it scared the daylight out of me
Maybe still worth mentioning: The Acres hasn't been continued either.
For that item trading code, what's stopping the receiver from using the code several times to get dupes of the item?
Nothing! They can be used multiple times, but I believe there is a limit of receiving three items per day.
The trading code system has also been completely reverse engineered, and this first was done while the game was still new.
There are websites you can use to generate any code for any item. Its a huge cheat, and I understand why it was removed. But I still like it because I'm a big fat cheater.
@@WannabeMarysue I only used the code system for one thing and that was turning off the music. lol
@@stealthxg5045 lmao fair enough. wish the music could be turned off in newer games.
14:15 is my ABSALUTE FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Omg they put Groundhog Day in the game 🥺 ( it’s only celebrated in the United States and it is low key the dumbest holiday ) but omg it’s cute tho !! N they do it in the game just like in New York lmao that’s amazing
Why can’t we drop multiple items… 😭😭 I haven’t played the older games but now I want to.. 😅
I wish that in ACNH that we could have the permanent golden trees again. Like, we had a final update and....it didn't at least keep some things from the older version?!?! I will tell you this, dropping multiple items on the floor at once is sweet. Man, I wish it was just like how it was in the past. It's just not the same anymore.....:(
I've never seen most of this. I got it on launch and played at least 100 hours.
Many of these things only happen at specific dates/times or after certain accomplishments. If there's anything in particular that you're wondering about, just ask.
1:49 the panting isn’t an emote I don’t think
I might pick up this game it's the only and last animal crossing game I didn't play and by what I've seen about the first game I like the vibe of it
6:20 I made a dump in New Horizons lol
I wish I can play NES games on New Horizons

AC GameCube is still the best
New players will never understand how great the older AC games were when they had these features.
shut up gatekeeper
@@wondertriplover cope, little kid
Yeah, NH bad 👌👌👌
Emulators.
@@AwesomeYena I still wish most of the older AC games were ported to the Switch. If they were to add GameCube, DS and 3DS games to switch online. I would pay more money if they can do that.
I really wish I had a gamecube or knew where my Wii was to play this!
Emulate it lol, ezpz.
5:22 that would be so easy to drop all the junk things you don’t need or dropping all the bells much faster! Too Bad it didnt returned in NH:-: 11:27 that matches the year 🙄11:50 Peeing nut?!😂😂😂😂😂13:38 Love how you did the house counting with the beat of the music
Then again we have the Wooden Storage Shed to like store things away faster, but I will agree it does become a pain to drop stuff to the ground one at a time. Seriously they need to get rid of that feature where you have to do things one at a time
@@iamjohnporter67 yeah like you might drop the wrong stuff in online play that someone will pick up and probably wont return unless if you say”Hey can i have the item back? “I dropped the wrong one! Then they might say”sure or”No.
The first one- I- HOW WAS THAT REMOVED-? i would of been so fun to have a soccer match or smth :( Hopefully they will add it back soon(the part 0:08)
Picked up that giant piano...
