Fun fact, after being a gamer for many years I realized something crazy, that in HL2 happend something unique. Is a game were both gaming both took an exponential jump, but that jump also was peak gaming. What I mean is that, in that year a massive visual jump was made, but also gaming/mechanical wise also, but fun fact is that, meanwhile the graphics curve kept growing (even though now is flattening) the gaming went downward from there, there weren't games that massive, made by a big name, and that took those risks and succeed, if you look from that point all the industry adopted a each more and more conservative aproach (except few exceptions). Is a crazy thing to think.
Crazy how the Half-Life series was that good than it now has subcommunities: Half-Life 1, Half-Life 2, Black Mesa, Half-Life 2 Beta and Half Life Alyx, every one of these still have mods coming out everyday. Awesome video!
The passion behind the half life community is truly the most inspiring, my favorites have to be the short films made within the half life universe. They're all made with so much love and respect for the series!
I recoment making shorts, sometimes they get realy popular like my dualingo photos video that got 400+ vievs (I have 7 subs 2 of them is my other channels)
Honestly, was half life 2 even a good game? Like, wow physics? It looked like it came out in 2004. And who the hell names their protagonist gordon? That's like having a bad ass fantasy wizard named greg. Who was this game even for?
