    The casing of your oven needs to be grounded (earthed) for fault protection!!
    Should the casing become live through any kind of fault (incurred over time) could be fatal!!
    An earthed casing will pick up the live and trip out your mini circuit breaker.
    From your consumer unit,causing a safe disconnection!!

    Use a pid controller and ssr. It's much more accurate and let's you autotune the heat.

    Just what i'm looking for,but i'm no sparky,so how did you fit and wire up the elements to the back,are they insulated from the metal box?

    • @sixahem
      @sixahem 3 года назад

      You should run an earth tail on the metal box somewhere, for fault protection, so it trips out the mcb on the consumer(fuse box) unit!!

    Please remember that any form of silicone in a powder coating oven is a no no . This will play havoc with the finishes
