When you said "you can never run away from yourself" I had cervical cancer, at 18 years old I had a hysterectomy and I remember right before surgery being so scared that I thought about just running away but I couldn't run from the cancer. It would eventually kill me if I didn't just deal with it but it was so scary. I'm now healthy, happy, Cancer free.

Thanks for all this, Isabel. I just found your channel, and admire your production values -- audio, video, and story are all of high quality. It doesn't matter if it is autobiographical, creative fiction or both. I felt a personal connection when I saw the tub to the left of your stove. I think it is an antique copper "boiler", and I have one just like it next to my fireplace for wood and kindling storage. In my considered opinion, it appears that Ms. Isabelle is a complete fraud in almost every claim she makes, patreons or general subscribers, for purposes of monetizing her youtube channel. Success! With her numbers, she's doing well. She's got a good hustle going and and good for her. I'm not a hater, but I do hate the lie. IMO she's lying about her "hard-work, rags-to-I made-it" story, which is what I object to. I don't like being lied to. So don't be a clueless chump for her. Here's an alternate and well- documented reality: ruclips.net/video/QwoKc2AXezs/видео.html
My red-flags started rising when Ms. Paige suddenly decamped her hard work-site at the Washington site to travel to Scotland and got set-up in some sweeeeeet situation right from go! None of the timing worked to accomplish so much from so little. Plus, everything else that makes no sense now viewed in hind-sight:
      - Working some (close-to) minimum-wage job in a food co-op in Wenatchee for income.
      - Expensive photography equipment consisting of many many video cameras, drones, editing equipment, etc.
      - The time for Isabelle (or somebody) to spend a LOT of time editing the videos, which, let's face it, are beautiful and well crafted. But is this the work-product from somebody working a food co-op job and trying to grow her own food while working many many construction projects at her Washington site...or does she hire a full-time editor?
      - New work spaces, sheds, etc. being constructed. Lumber and supplies for building is pricey? Where did funds come from? Not the income from a Wenatchee food co-op source.
      - Good quality power tools, battery powered and grid. That equipment isn't cheap.
      - Cats cats cats. Pets get expensive. They look good for cuteness and value projecting. Hmmm
      - Two air tickets to Scotland plus luggage fees. Hmmm
      - Landing in a sweet (and sizable!) "cottage" to settle into for "several weeks".
      - An expensive van in good-shape purchased in Scotland and completely converted....while having the time to explore much of the country. The timing, the money, the accomplishments so quickly.
      - She claimed in several previous videos the van was "purchased in a condition that was unlivable and uninhabitable", then landed in a lovely cottage for weeks while "working on the van conversion". Complete lie. The finished van was purchased from John Duncan in fabulous condition. Isabelle and Logan's "three-week conversion" involved only ripping out a finished ceiling and purchasing tongue-in-groove pine board to help her weave a false "we-worked-hard story". Here's John Duncan's time-lapse of the actual conversion of Isabelle's purchased van. ruclips.net/video/B-xi_Rvdzlw/видео.html
      - She's got mad skills with carpentry and power equipment for an airy-fairy nature girl. Most likely trained and assisted by her contractor-father?
People are being hurt by Isabelle; the original creators of the recipes she's plagiarized, and the work performed by other she and Logan take credit for. Other people are being hurt by accepting Isabelle's story as authentic, thinking that they'll attempt the same, with an expectation that hard-work and patience is all that's needed, when in fact that's completely false. Isabelle's story is propelled by a deep well of out-of-sight financial backing that helps propel and maintain her "story". That lie will hurt real people who are looking for change.
I was so taken in at first with her hard-work success story. I loved her narrative. Now everything appears to be a carefully crafted and youtube-monetized illusion. It appears Isabelle is an intercontinental fraud. Who's the real Isabelle? I feel like a chump. Kinda butthurt and pissed.

One of me and my fiancé’s favourite songs is “Do you realise” by the flaming lips. We sing it to each other all the time, and really wanted it for our first dance at our wedding - we almost didn’t do it, because it has that stoic philosophy- the words are “do you realise that you have the most beautiful face...do you realise that everyone you know someday will die, but instead of saying all of your goodbyes, let them know you realise that life moves fast and we’ve got to make the good things last...” We think as Aurelius does - that is a beautiful sentiment, not a sad one, so we’re having it!

Death, the great equalizer. I come from a family that speaks openly about dying (facilitated by many members passing at early ages) and this has been one of the most valuable things for me. Yes. It is a gift to grow into being courageous about every aspect of life. I too, had an idea of a life as an expat artist when I was young and it came to pass-yet, things unfold surprisingly, it is true. Self-compassion is a wonderful skill to develop as well. I like getting older (many in my family have not) because I am a late bloomer and I love discovering and wondering and being curious and having the luxury of time to figure shit out...Take care. S

You're so right when you say how we romanticize how others live thinking how we would love it. There really is no way to have all the different lives we envision. One moment we think how beautiful it would be to live on a farm with open fields and flowers and even some with farm animals, then how beautiful to live in the mountains with beautiful tall trees and snow capped mountains to look at and adventure on, then the beach looks beautiful with the sound of crashing waves. It's all so beautiful that we envision ourselves living all these places. When we choose one, we imagine another. I think the point is to see the beauty in the place we are and then to enjoy watching all the places you take us😊

What you said really struck me. I've been dealing with sickness the last 10 days and, just as you said, it's very humbling. Ugh. Sometimes it is necessary to be humbled and reminded of our weakness. We are all a little too busy with too little honestly.. and whether we realize it or not, we are but a moment away from death. Do not allow anger, bitterness, pride, jealousy, or hatred have a root in your life or it will rob you of your purpose, steal your joy, and destroy yourself as well as those around you. Also, do not be quick to judge others. Show real love, compassion, and mercy to others just as you would like to have shown to you. I have been through the worst imaginable hell a person can face in this life and these are just some things worth remembering daily.

I just moved to New Hampshire and I never understood the difficulties of living in the snow until I got here. It’s so beautiful but living in negative degrees isn’t the easiest. ... Isabela ,, the scene's and your calming narration in the intro sets a soothing path to the heart and soul ,, and your loving curious cat's bring on an extra grin .... To be able to live freely and successfully in Nature requires the acceptance of your own capabilities and the knowledge to find strengths as needed .... So good to hear that yourself and Logan recovered from the virus and regaining your strength ..... Your trekking thru the deep snow makes me grin and say "that girl" .. the beautiful surroundings remind me why .... I enjoyed your method of cooking an awesome meal outdoors ,, it looked So good on a cold day ...... The presence of a pair of Eagles over yourself and Logan is a blessing of unity shared by and thru Nature ,, always a special gift to see ...
... As the winter moves on continue your skills and now painting has enter the arena ,, and Logan works out the perfect right sounds to what we all know will be an amazing album ........ just know there are many out here that look forward to what's next ........ Although I’m a fairly silent viewer, I was moved to tell you Isabel, how grateful I am that you mentioned “The Hippie.” I raced to Amazon and threw a used copy into my cart and it made me think that revisiting stoicism was most definitely in order.
That brings me to also mention to you Logan, my appreciation for the reference of Elizabeth Gilbert’s second book. Being an artist that has been spending FAR too much time pacing around the paints, ink, graphite lol, I jumped off RUclips quickly to secure a used copy!!
Namaste to you both and may the light inside shine brightly.

That life is definitely romanticized when seeing the after. Cozy home, full garden harvest, and snuggled under a blanket. But one of the reasons I really enjoy these videos is you show that there’s a ton of work before the romance. Building the tiny house, the studio, prepping and planting, maintaining the garden and weaving the blanket. The amount of work involved is incredible. Glad you’re over covid.

I've heard fifteen minutes every couple of days is all you need! Expose some of your arms and face. You can close your eyes and sun gaze, which feels amazing. Or even as the sun starts to set or is rising, you will still get some sun but with less potentially harmful rays, and can sun gaze with your eyes completely open.

I have been watching your stories for a while now and I always admire the way you love creation and have prayed for you that you would come to know the Creator of all things. When I heard you mention contemplating death and Marcus Aurelius, I was so thankful for the technology we have and the opportunity pray for you and tell you about my God. People worship all kinds of different things but there is only one true God, Jesus Christ. Marcus Aurelius wasn't a Christian but he did acknowledge God during a battle against the Germans when they had no water and were surrounded by the German army. He prayed with no avail to his gods and then came to the Christian soldiers in his army to ask them to pray. Once they did, it started to rain. As rain poured on the Roman army, hail came down on the German army causing them to flee in fear. God was able to save that Roman army from their enemies, He has saved me and is able to save you. We are all enemies of God because of sin. (Romans 6:23) He is holy and we are not, but Jesus came to reconcile us to God the Father by His death on the cross and resurrection.(Colossians 1:19-22) Jesus paid the price for our sins so that we can be right with God. Death is a good thing to think about because we won't take our next breath if it isn't given by God and one day we will all stand before Him.(Hebrews 9:27) I am praying for you, if you have a bible please read it. If you don't have one, I would love to send you one. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

Your videos provided me with something to watch with peace and calmness and beauty with my main squeeze, Sara Sue, a 114lb yellow lab on my lap whom rarely left my side. She saved my life countless times when I stopped breathing in my sleep and alerted me when breathing attacks were going to occur through out the day. She saw me through Covid. Unfortunately, she passed away from IMHA shortly after my second vaccination in May and just before her 9th birthday in June. I continue to watch your videos religiously and it provides me comfort with her memory. Thank you so much. I especially enjoy your coffee and cooking montages, daily walks up the mountain with the beautiful cinematography and your music together.
