A truckload of crushed granite is pretty cheap too. She should order it before the spring rains make it a total mudpit. We used crushed granite to make a walkway between our back patio and shed, the grass grew completely thru the rock, but it never gets muddy because the stone is a great barrier to keep the earth from being eroded away when it's sopping wet outside

Spring unsprung, with tension growing behind the sap and beneath each nascent leaf. Great fat lot of help, and so very timely, this ... for the next tile project. When you want to preserve your ornamental edges, cut out the center to reduce the size of a tile.

Our spring in Missouri isn’t too bad this year. Sometimes we skip spring and go straight to summer. It’s been a teaser kinda spring. We get some really awesome days and then back to the cold. Kinda like a roller coaster ride into spring lol.

I enjoy watching your process when you're building or designing things, or even just cleaning up... it reminds me a lot of how I do things. I really enjoyed the "kick the plywood up so you could shove it down behind the miter saw." That is so me too!

I will move countries soon and I am overwhelmed by all the stuff that I have, stuff I need to get rid of and stuff I have to store somewhere. This gave me lots of motivation to organise. I wish I could make a little bonfire on my roof with all the stuff I don't need anymore
I'm in the process of moving from a two-bedroom apartment into a house. I can't believe how much stuff I have accumulated. I've been packing boxes and taking them to storage off and on for two weeks. I'm finally almost done and then need to hire movers for the furniture. Hannah could have taken care of this in two days while singing and dancing. I'm so envious of her energy and positive attitude. Absolutely love this girl.
@@vph306it's crazy how much stuff you can have in a small apartment. for me it's mostly books and little things (stones, little figurines and other stuff I brought from my travels). Also why do I have like 200 pens and notebooks? I also have several boxes I never touched since I moved in 6 years ago, so I guess they can at least go. It's just difficult to start packing and organising when you don't really have a lot of space to put the boxes. living under the roof makes it just worse. but a good lesson for the next move. don't get too much shit. Just moved after 33 years of collecting "stuff". Never felt better after selling, tossing, gifting, and donating it all. I don't remember half of what I had, so I guess it really wasn't that important in the first place.

My late wife loved Amazon and she would grow attached to things and hold onto them. I know that's part of it. As bad as I hate to, I'm going to have to get rid of some things, but it's things I'll never use and if I don't let them go, they'll just sit in storage. I'm moving in with my sister as it'll help both of us financially, so it's not like I can take much with me, hence, the storage unit. And you're so right, having boxes I haven't even opened in years. I don't even remember what's in them anymore. Apparently, I don't need it whatever it is and now would be the time to let it go. Thanks for the "good luck" wishes.

I plan to become a minimalist in the future and have only what I need in the residence. This has proven to be my worst move ever. I have some lower back disc issues and picking up, loading, and unloading all these boxes isn't helping matters any. I'll be done by the end of the week and will be so much happier in my new organized place.

Spring is always a scam here in Indiana. We went from 70's sun to snow a few days later. It got back in the 60's earlier this week and today we had a freeze. I was born and raised in Chicago and while I will always LOVE the midwest, I cannot live there. The winters are just too long. My favorite flowers are daffodils, crocuses, and tulips because they pop up in the midwest JUST when I'm starting to think I'm going to do something rash if winter doesn't go away. Now I live in the pacific northwest, and while it's still nippy and rainy, it's been spring for about a month already. Hope spring shows up for you soon Hannah!

I watch these videos and it’s awesome that you get to do this. I’m sure down time can be a little boring but in the scope of things it’s way better to put there enjoying the beautiful part of nature. Beats the crap out of driving around in traffic listening to other people blast crap music and all the ills that come with urban and suburban decay. I enjoy the fact that you sketch out your ideas and make things up as you go, with what you have! Right? I saw so much art potential in all that wood. She could’ve put those small chunks of wood to so many uses. Even to fuel her stove/fireplace inside. I will move countries soon and I am overwhelmed by all the stuff that I have, stuff I need to get rid of and stuff I have to store somewhere. This gave me lots of motivation to organise. I wish I could make a little bonfire on my roof with all the stuff I don't need anymore
I'm in the process of moving from a two-bedroom apartment into a house. I can't believe how much stuff I have accumulated. I've been packing boxes and taking them to storage off and on for two weeks. I'm finally almost done and then need to hire movers for the furniture. Hannah could have taken care of this in two days while singing and dancing. I'm so envious of her energy and positive attitude. Absolutely love this girl.
@@vph306it's crazy how much stuff you can have in a small apartment. for me it's mostly books and little things (stones, little figurines and other stuff I brought from my travels). Also why do I have like 200 pens and notebooks? I also have several boxes I never touched since I moved in 6 years ago, so I guess they can at least go. It's just difficult to start packing and organising when you don't really have a lot of space to put the boxes. living under the roof makes it just worse. but a good lesson for the next move. don't get too much shit. I already moved four times so I should actually already know that.

Just moved after 33 years of collecting "stuff". Never felt better after selling, tossing, gifting, and donating it all. I don't remember half of what I had, so I guess it really wasn't that important in the first place.
@@AndNowIJustSitInSilence I know, right? I'm like, where did all this stuff come from? I don't remember seeing it come in. My late wife loved Amazon and she would grow attached to things and hold onto them. I know that's part of it. As bad as I hate to, I'm going to have to get rid of some things, but it's things I'll never use and if I don't let them go, they'll just sit in storage. I'm moving in with my sister as it'll help both of us financially, so it's not like I can take much with me, hence, the storage unit. And you're so right, having boxes I haven't even opened in years. I don't even remember what's in them anymore. Apparently, I don't need it whatever it is and now would be the time to let it go. Thanks for the "good luck" wishes.
@@irenepierce167 I can't imagine how much you had after 33 years. I can see how you must feel so much better having gotten rid of some of it. I plan to become a minimalist in the future and have only what I need in the residence. This has proven to be my worst move ever. I have some lower back disc issues and picking up, loading, and unloading all these boxes isn't helping matters any. I'll be done by the end of the week and will be so much happier in my new organized place.

Spring is always a scam here in Indiana. We went from 70's sun to snow a few days later. It got back in the 60's earlier this week and today we had a freeze. We got nowhere near the snow you did but it is so depressing when we need the sun and open windows with fresh air. Lol. Thanks so much for sharing. Wishing you sun, warmth, and a speedy thaw.

I was born and raised in Chicago and while I will always LOVE the midwest, I cannot live there. The winters are just too long. My favorite flowers are daffodils, crocuses, and tulips because they pop up in the midwest JUST when I'm starting to think I'm going to do something rash if winter doesn't go away. Now I live in the pacific northwest, and while it's still nippy and rainy, it's been spring for about a month already. Hope spring shows up for you soon Hannah!

I watch these videos and it’s awesome that you get to do this. I’m sure down time can be a little boring but in the scope of things it’s way better to put there enjoying the beautiful part of nature. Beats the crap out of driving around in traffic listening to other people blast crap music and all the ills that come with urban and suburban decay. I’d rather deal with a grizzly bear than some of the rotten people these cities have produced. What you got is a gift. Great channel.

First, happy belated birthday! I think the snow-beach and waves were a perfect alternative to balloons and ice cream!
Second, your desk construction was spot on! I enjoy the fact that you sketch out your ideas and make things up as you go, with what you have! It's like my Mom going to the refrigerator toward the end of the week as the groceries for the week were dwindling, checking out what leftovers she found and then making a creative meal with what she had! You do the same thing, but with a different purpose.
