I just got married last year on September 23, 2023. I am 67 and my new husband is 73! We had a very low key wedding also. My dress was given to me and I loved it. People brought food (a "pot luck") and the food was fantastic. We were outside next to the beautiful river behind us. We only had 20 people also. It was sweet and it felt like everyone was floating around on Love, Love, Love! Many different kinds of people from all walks of life and so much Love! It was PERFECT! I spoke with one of my good friends whose daughter is getting married - and she spent $18,000 on her wedding dress! SAY WHAT? WOW!!!!!! Ridiculous!

Sara looked beautiful and we used lots and lots of flowers from my friend's garden and she baked the beautiful wedding cake. Sara was married under an arbor that her dad built a few years back before he passed away. It never occurred to me years ago that I'd be watching you get married these years later. Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful and blessed day with me and all of us. My wedding was much like yours, a dress made by my grandmother, conducted in nature on a mountaintop, my best friends playing instruments in the background, the after wedding party outdoors in a beautiful backyard, with all my most treasured family and friends in attendance.
