Not all SUV-shaped vehicles have awd, so the awd badge is not a quirk. It's advertising for those looking for an awd vehicle, but don't know much or anything about the Sorento - ie. most of the population. Have just discovered your channel. Is very refreshing. Most car journalists think we will fret over red stripes and red stitching and carbon fibre (it's just another ugly hard plastic to most people) and pointless stuff like that. Thank you for keeping it real and relevant and succinct. Subscribed.
@@Modern.Motoring My 2020 LX is FWD and has 3 row seating. I am in the USA, maybe Canadian models are different. The LX has dual head lights, not the triple shown on your model. My previous vehicle was a 2004 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited, fully equipped, lots of power and very efficient. This Sorento doesn't have nearly all the features of the Sienna but it's got enough and is fun to drive and good looking, too.
I got a 2020 but a mid-trim. I really like it, it's been a good vehicle. I was driving a RAV4, which I also like, but I wanted something with a V6. This vehicle delivers. It's not a racecar but it's no slouch, either!
@@Modern.Motoring Well this was for my Wife whose lease was up on the last Gen Rav. I must say that Rav was bullet proof. Changed oil only after 115k. Only thing that went wrong was broken glove compartment covered under warranty. That's it. I also drive a late model Toyota. Prior to that it was Honda. I guess the deciding factor is dependability and what we know
Hasn't arrived in Canada yet...hopefully soon but given what's happening in the world, it may be a few more months away than Kia Canada has planned/expected. You're right re: price drops on the 2020 model.

I bought this model and love it too. Nice review.
Nice, congrats! And thank you for the very kind words, James…I appreciate them :)

Loved the Review. I looked at this but we ended up with a 2020 Rav 4 xle. The 2021 looks like a baby Telluride.
Thanks Moe!
What was the deciding factor that made you go with the RAV4?

You can get a Sorento in front wheel drive.
Pete's correct. We just purchased a 2020 Sorento EX AWD and they are hard to find. Most of the ones we saw in stock were FWD models.
Why would you want to? Awd or nothing for bad winters.
was there an S V6 trim for Canada that you’re aware of?
7 seating is standard across all trims. My sorento lx (1 step above absolutel base) has 3rd row
USA versions differ to these Canadian versions a little as far as features go
0:00 Exterior
4:39 Interior
11:55 Driving
what colour is it?
i mean exterior colour :)
New one's out. Price drops of this pretty soon.

You're right re: price drops on the 2020 model.
