I'm used to collection discussions that are bathed in sentimentality. This guy is just pure collector - has figured out what he likes/values and then just buys it. Oh to be Singapore rich! There's something very carefree about this young guy.

Really? I think they make some good content but I find Wei’s camera presence to be awful to me it seems like in every interview he forgets he’s the interviewer and not the one being interviewed

This is hands down one of my favorite collector videos.
Thanks guys for helping me understand 'Paul Newman Daytona's', I had heard the expression but never really understood the differences between these and the 'regular'.
Between you both there were some beautiful watches, delighted that a Speedie put in an appearance albeit a bit older than my 2019 vintage watch. Look forward to seeing more from Ron in the future, maybe a bit more detail on the stories behind the watches.
I don't know a thing about watches but it's infectious to see anyone so knowledgeable and into something like this.

Robins, you will be able to buy one one day. Just believe in yourself and work hard. I never thought I could until I keep telling my subconscious mind to do it.
I don't know how I ended up here--I don't think of watches as anything but a practical accoutrement--but these two guys are so passionate & knowledgeable that I watched the whole video. Their interest in watches is contagious. For 23 minutes, anyway.

No but honestly I learnt more from what Wei Koh said than that guy. The guest tells us his personal story about how he got those watches, and to be honest doesn't change what I know (or don't know) and what I feel about the watch. But Wei Koh gives us a more in depth look and a reason for the viewers to appreciate the watches even more.

The feeling of lying awake at night over missing out on some rare thing that you might never find again is something I can really relate to. Granted, in my case, it was like a jacket or boots for like 400$ but still! If something is very rare it doesn't matter how much money you have, you can't buy it if it isn't for sale.

Amazing collection! I would love to see the guest talk more about his watches stories. Come to think about it, its kinda of sick that people are paying obsence money for these steel watches.
if you buy with emotions and you know you took a long time to hunt quality pieces that you really yearned, then price is secondary if only it matches your budget.

Very expensive but even more difficult to find in good condition. I look everywhere for a vintage Daytona. Flea markets, estate sales, antique shops places one might get lucky and someone selling not knowing how much it's valued at.

The ‘Magazine cover’ story is wrong. It’s not about PN and his 6239, it’s about a (never seen) ‘Capital’ Magazine cover with Gianni Agnelli (in which he’d have had a 6263 on his wrist).

Personal opinion only, I think the RCO Sottos are Rolex made, because if they didn't just go for adding "Oyster".
The removed the Rolex AND the Cosmograph so they repaint all of it into MK2 dials - so that they would match then-current Rolex signing.
Seems like too much work for someone outside of Rolex/Singer.
I think they just added the word oyster to save those dials and not waste it.

Is there a secret strap code going with the Daytonas? The 6241 at 6:00 with a bright red strap? It may be the softest hide made from the balls of a cross-eyed unicorn born right next to Abraham Lincoln's piss pot but it still is a hideous combination. Great video though. Learned a lot from the two gentlemen.
