One year after the airing of the documentary, past and present employees of Dunder Mifflin gather for Dwight and Angela's wedding. Dwight initially chooses Jim to be his best man, but Michael Scott (Steve Carell) shows up and takes his place. Finally, everyone comes together for a final round of interviews, during which Erin reunites with her biological parents and everyone is brought to tears.

I love how to final words of the show went to Pam. It really shows how her character has grown from the beginning of the show. she started off as a shy receptionist and she became a confident salesmen who said what was on her mind. I really loved her character for that. The show really captured her development in a realistic way
She's an inspiration for me.

When I look at this series i think Pam was the one person whose arc was as important as Michael. I loved her and the was Jenna F played her. It was real as we are all flawed and her and Michael were for sure. But in the crunch they had a heart and felt for others. I am so glad Jenna had a role in all the touching moments of this show as her ability to show emotion was so effective.
When you finish an episode of the office and it doesn’t ask if you want to play the next episode. 😭

I've finished seeing the office for the first time today and...I don't know. It seems to me that, as of season 8, they have just made him turn into a dotard. He was just creepy and ambiguous before, but in the last two seasons he just behaved like an old man caricature

But if you take a step back, you're sharing time with others, getting to know those around you better. You're sharing moments with people. You're walking past beautiful architecture, seeing wonderful birds and nature. We take ordinary things for granted, however there's a lot of beauty in ordinary things :)

It’s safe to say they weren’t acting in this scene. This is as genuine as you’ll ever see a group of people that have worked together for a decade.
Minus the costumes, makeup, film crew, film set, cameras, lights, microphones, and completely scripted lines sure.
In an episode of The Office Ladies, they revealed that they in fact were not acting. They were told that filing was over, but there were cameras outside to capture that for the last scene. Such a great scene

I love how The Office portrayed normal people living normal lives. More, it celebrated those simple lives.
I work in journalism and all we talk about are champions, superstars, criminals. I find it tiring. This show gave a voice to the kind of characters that are only seen in 1/2 scenes in Hollywood productions and showed that they're as interesting, if you actually learn something about their lives and their opinions. This series is unique.

That quote is absolutely beautiful and brilliant. It harnesses such truth and is said by the greatest character in the series in my opinion.
Just finished this series which ended its run 10 years ago. Talk about being late to the party. The whole series and the characters will be with me a long time. I feel like I know them. The finale was perfect in every way. I had only heard of Steve C before watching in 2022 but Jenna , John and Rainne did great work and were perfect in their roles. Such a great show ! I think what will always separate The Office from other great comedies is the intimacy in that we are sharing these moments with these characters and the doc style with no soundtrack creates that. With Friends Seinfeld etc you are told when to laugh and it is feels staged. I do not connect to the actors at all. With the Office they are very real people played by such great actors and writers. And the best part is the ego-less actors are as greatful as the fans for being part of such an iconic show !
I just finished mine this evening and I cried my eyeballs out I wish it never ended it was the only thing that kept me going through rough days literally.. I went on a loop of recalling most of the scenes and laugh at them again by myself
I really feel empty now and I don’t know what am gonna do tomorrow..

@@t.i.s4481 I never was into the office when it was first running then during spring of 2018 my friend was staying at my house for a few days and he had to study for an exam but he told me to put the office on so he could just hear what was going on since he had seen every episode and so I put it on and at first I just played on my computer while the episodes just kept rolling but later that night I actually fell in love w/ this show and I binged all 9 seasons right after my friend left 😂 my friend did tell me that Michael leaves later on and the show does get kinda bland so I had been prepping for that but even after Michael left and Robert California and Nellie and Pete and Clark came in. I still stuck w/ it and I’m glad my friend made me put it on that one day.

She shown me episodes now and then but this year she went "You gonna watch the office and I will watch It's always sunny in philadelphia" I agreed and glad I did. One of the best shows I have ever watched. The emotional rollercoasters, the funny moments, the atrocity of it makes it so much more refreshing. Just as Pam said, the office is like a book that you will never want to end. I'm glad to have been part of The Office family. 11/10

I just finished the show a few minutes ago, and despite I'm totally destroyed and spent most of the episode crying, there could not be a better way to end the series like these. It is the perfect finale, a perfect closure to nine years of emotional, intense, hilarious, and heart-touching stories.
The Office is the best show I've ever seen in my life, and nothing is going to be the same after it. It's the best sitcom of all time. In my opinion, perfect in all possible ways.
The last scene would have been good if they showed Michael’s face in the cement. From S4 E12.

The amount the last episode makes me cry every single time I watch it doesn't compare to any other show or movie. The part where Steve carrel shows up for dwight's wedding and he looks all older and more mature is one of my favorite scenes. The office is truly such a good show, with amazing character development. A lot of people wont understand how good the show is because they just watch it for the funny pranks and scenes but miss the story, growth, and meaning behind most of them. So many people judge the show too early and don't give it a fair try, first time I was watching the office most my family thought the show was dumb, then a couple months later and they all binge watching it. Michael was such a good character in this story, he is someone that is mostly misunderstood by a lot. This show is truly a masterpiece and by far my favorite. The acting so good as well, it really allows you to be immersed in their lives and in the story. Just finished re-watching the office for the 13th time and every time I finish re-watching it I always feel empty, because I know there is no other show or movie out there that will have the same emotional impact on me like the office did. They really know how to make the most amazing moments. The more I watch it the more I love the show and see things I never saw before.

Just finished my first ever full viewing. I feel so weird. Obviously it's almost 10 years since the show actually ended but you feel such a connection to the characters, it's beautifully written and acted perfectly. I love that in this day and age a show can still make you feel warm and happy. Sad that it's over for me now, will have to have a break before I revisit older episodes.

In an interview he said he came up with it and developed it. The character is based on the 60s version of himself when he was in the grass roots and did a lot of drugs

In this final scene, the song they've tied to it is what brings out my tears. Hearing the lyrics saying All the faces.... Makes me burst into tears and memories of those we knew before flood my mind with visions of them❤. Then add the meaningful things that were said up until the very end.... Man it really catches my heart. Makes you appreciate the simple things in life that hold special meaning to each and every one of us💞.

I just finished watching the series for the first time.And man it was a rollercoaster of emotions throughout the entire show.The bond that the Office cast made over the span of the show and the memories they all made together is something so special.
I know I'll rewatch this show again and it will be awesome to rewatch after sometime but I'm writing this down to let you know that....the first time doing it was the best

I have finished watching the last episode five minutes ago and I feel so connected to the whole show and every character in it. and first time watching this scene I felt a strong urge to cry after seeing each of the characters as I thought about their 9 years in the office. The ending really feels like saying farewell to the people you know for 9 years. So emotional... and...brilliant.
I’ll never forget the first I finished The Office. I remember just breaking down at this scene. I’d become so attached to this show and these characters that finally reaching the end didn’t feel real. Occasionally I’ll rewatch this and still I tear up just knowing how much this show has impacted me since I watched it for the first time all those years ago.
Idk why but the picture that Michael hung up which Pam drew and Pam taking it off of the wall made me SO devastated
Its like... a good high school experience. 4 years of love, loss, friendship..making memories. But then you move on and new people occupy that building and make their own, which has nothing to do with the memories you made. So Pam taking that is like saying, that's my memory. That means the most to me. All the new people working at the office have zero idea about the history of that painting, of the emotional story it told. To them, it's just a random painting on an office wall.

The hold ending of The office was all around emotional and I was building up tears the whole time, but right when this scene happened with the acoustic guitar creed was playing and all the memories that Jim talked about, and then Pam taking the picture down and taking it with her, then I just balled out in tears. This was a great ending

Finished it for the third time. Hands down one of the best series I've ever watched
I’m on season 8 now on my 3rd binge (second full binge because I stopped watching the show during my second binge after the koi pond incident because the show left Netflix in the beginning of 2021) Just finished the episode where the Florida team get picked by Andy and Dwight for Sabre’s new store. I started watching this show again this October during my fall semester. It’s honestly so relaxing to watch this show after finishing my classes and after fishing my homework and studies. There was a 90 minute gap in the afternoon between my last two classes. I’d go to the Starbucks at my campus and order a drink and some snacks and just watch this show. I love this show with all my heart. Thank you Michael and everyone for helping me get through the days of my miserable college life

I've rewatched the office 6 times and this final scene never fails to make me cry
I'm British and, like all Brits, I was horrified when an American version was announced. The Office US is still to this day my favourite TV comedy.
I re-watched the pilot of the series just before watching the last two episodes, and I must say that differences are huge. The first season was completely based on the Office UK and characters were completely different from what they would turn into during the series. It was really strange listening to Kevin speaking normally for example. They are simply two different series with the same characters' names and the same location...

I just finished this show for the very first time because I just never got around to watching it. It's a beautiful series that goes way beyond being a mere comedy. Loved it.
Only 8 months later and I just finished it for the 2nd time. I love it so much.
