This helped me fix my Razer Taipan! I had already taken it apart 3 times and tried putting a bit of tape on the top of the clicker to make it press deeper but that wouldn't work. Adjusting the spring has fixed it perfectly and the click feels as deep as it was originally. Thanks!
okay, not showing the part where you actually remove the cover is not cool. if you ever re-record this video or update it, just make sure you do that, and if you forget, then just go back and fix it. if it's a part where people need to be careful while doing it, bc otherwise they might damage or lose pieces, then its maybe, just maybe, a good idea to actually show how to do it well
I have been using G300s for 8 years. I'm on my second one for my desktop and I have one on my laptop. Great mouse. I did this fix years ago and remember it being a chore. I decided to look for videos to see if there were some tips before I tried to do it again. I was pleased to see that one of the first videos that popped up had my same mouse. Your description about reinstalling the copper part really helped. Flat end under the hook first and then the loop end slides in sideways under the hook at the other side. Very easy. Saved me a bunch of time, learned how the piece flexes to make the mouse click, and picked up a new skill. Thank you.
thanks alot you just saved me alot of money. every video suggest replacing the switch box which needs soldering youre the only one who opened it and fixed the actual box.
I was able to use a tweezers to bend the metal clip up without taking it off. Fixed my Zowie FK1 mouse in just five minutes. Works perfect, other than needing replacement rubber sliders lol.
Might try this sometime this week, my mouse recently double right clicks on 1 singular click, otherwise going to replace it, so nothing to lose with trying this.
I'm so thankful a guide like this exists! Unfortunately, when I took off the cap for the switch, the button flew off on both and I couldn't find them cause they're so small, so be careful. Luckily I had a spare mouse to take them from, so yeah!
Thanks brother for posting this video , really helped me fix my logitech mouse A tip for others , use a polyethene bag and then keep the mouse inside it and perform whatever switch you have to fix because the copper switch is pretty springy Also take a picture with closeups from each angle before starting to fix the curve
Thanks for postingthis online, I already fixed my mouse as per your instruction but one thing I noticed about my mouse is the switch I think placed in a wrong way for mine in the mouse factory I mean... The white button of the switch is on the left side of the switch box but its curve is on the right side.. Is there something wrong with that?
Oh.... so you're telling me i went on a manic episode completely destroying my mouse for nothing? "it is literally thorn to pieces every part of it out of anger"
Thank you so much man, I got a Glorious model o and its left mouse button was clicking if I put to much pressure now when i click it doesnt happend anymore I thought of buying another one but I tried to fix it first and I ended up not buying another model o You earned a sub
If you are a minecraft bedwars geek, you would like hes mice. Considering bedwars player use double clicking mouse to click faster. Someone mouse use it as a feature by settnig the debounce to 0. this mouse is good, but id rather use adjustable debounce time mices.
Great video. Unfortunately, the mouse I tried to fix, Logitec G602, has much smaller springs and it was futile. So, I reprogrammed the buttons so the Right Click Button is now the Left Click Function and one of the side buttons controls the Right Click Function. It's not too bad. I'll get used to it. Thanks for the excellent video and the written description. BC
dude, use AutoHotkey to run this script and the double clicking will be gone : LButton:: If (A_TimeSincePriorHotkey < 150) ;hyperclick Return Click Down KeyWait, LButton Click Up Return
me who fixed this issue same way, didn't know it's called double click, I called it too sensitive switch. was looking for people having issue with mice after 6 months of usage.
Can you make a tutorial that helps with the mouse, because i've changed the mouse 2 times and it's still double clicking, can u fix it with the laptop?
Open an old mouse, open the microswitch recctangular box, take out the wierd shaped metal thingy, stick it in your broken mouse, no soldering required. If you don't have an old mouse, order a microswitch for a couple dollars and take that metal thingy out.
i fixed it without disassembly by pressing the left and right click buttons hard, but not too hard until it breaks for 10 seconds, blowing through the holes on the mouse where the click buttons are and shaking rapidly, repeating until it works. my mouse was double clicking 50% of the time and now it only double clicks once out of every 100 clicks, thanks reddit
I gave up trying to take the cover off after trying multiple times, so I just stuck a piece of tape over the switch and called it good lol. At least it works now
BEFORE YOU START what's not mentioned is that each of these micro switches are constructed differently, and many rely on precise placement by machine. If you are here watching this video to fix your mouse you are FAR BETTER OFF learning to solder or replacing the mouse, your likelihood of success is low.
Thanks. I was emboldened to dismantle my mouse ans fix it with 5x eyeglasses{when you are over 40}, spit{or masking tape to hold the button in place{, screwdriver, needle and tweezers.
ok you dont have to do all that. I just grabbed my air duster can and sprayed into the gap of the mouse button and it fixed it all. Also cleaned up a bit with a cotton bud inside the mouse and around the button.
You can just open the side button or any slightly used one and just change the spring and you dont need to do the bending stuff "wich is working but dont last long and feels shit".
Bought Razer Trinity.. after 3 weeks it start clicking double.. i tried to click from different angles, and make myself so uncomfy doing it.. but now no matter from which angle i press it it does the same.. I really can't believe it.. Having friend his start doing that after 3 years lol.. i am just unlucky i guess
pro tip: fuck this noise, today i had a Q tip on my desk and decided to rip a bit of cotton off and stick it in front portion of the left click next to the scroll wheel. problem fucking solved.
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS, you will just break that tiny spring and then you will have to buy new mouse eventually. because this dumb@ss didn't show the most crucial part, which is how to remove that spring mechanism because once it's bended at those side tiny bars it's not going to work no matter what you do. luckily i had an old non working mouse which i directly unsoldered the connection and used that on my current mouse... and it's safe. just go buy those tactile buttons from electric hardware shops and solder it instead of trying to fix the spring because it works if you know how to remove that spring carefully.
After I'd reassembled my mouse I clicked the like-button, but it instantly unliked it. So since the tutorial didn't work I clicked the dislike button, and again it instantly undisliked the video!
lol RIP to my G602, time to buy a new one. i tried, the little copper piece is soooo thin like paper, its done. well, it lasted longer than expected. got it in summer of 2019, so well worth it i guess. thanks for the video.

Pro - it's working.
Con - the button doesn't feel the same.
But at the end of the day I get to use my favorite mouse again so thumbs up.
its a good tip if you dont want to change your mouse early, however, the button feeling will never be the same.

Thank you. For me, I tugged the front side a little bit over the latch beneath it so that it feels more stable to the touch and has the clicky sound.
