My wife often asks me, "When will you have enough records." I reply, "There always seems to be one more that I want."

Hi Dereck, Thanks for the tour. I’ve always wondered about the space behind you and also behind your camera. Now I know, and it is fair to say that you have the extensive record/music collection that most of us aspire to own. Thanks!

Good to see you posting John. I love seeing some of the older and well respected VC members like yourself posting comments. Helps me to know that you are still involved and have not lost interest.
Hope all is well in Texas. Give me a holler sometime~

Your pad is great Dereck. Mine's about the same size, though my collection is somewhat smaller. :) Heh somehow I automatically imagined the entrance to the room where we mostly see you was behind your computer monitor. But no, that's the closet. Ha ha.

I thought you had upgraded all those sagging shelves? Well, you certainly started. Cool to see a tour like this after so long. I remember you going on a 7" dig in that wardrobe!
    Take care

Nice to see your lair. I wish I'd never sold anything that I had except what I couldn't imagine playing again (there's always some). Then again I would just use those as trade-ins to get something else I wanted, as I have been accustomed to doing in the past. I committed the error of having sold a 7-year collection when I got married for down payments on our new life together. As men we need to look at how willing our significant other is equally willing to part with something they love in order to invest in their relationship with us. There is indeed a sobering lesson to be found in that.

Jeez, it is like a music mecca. I just love seeing your collection Dereck.
Have you ever thought of how many times you went digging in your life?

Awesome video Dereck! Question, have you ever listened to any of the records from the Rockabye Baby catelog? It's lullaby renditions of a particular artists songs and it's pretty cool to see how they cross over into that medium.
