The attention to detail and dedication to the craft are amazing. I do not want to know how much this process cost. I have a direct injection Buick Enclave. It gets a $12 can of Seafoam Upper Engine cleaner every other oil change and it is pretty happy with that.
Use any other kind of fuel treatment than seafoam PLEASE! Seafoam was made for 2 cycle engines that use a fuel and oil mixture, vehicles nowadays are 4 cycls and dont mix oil and fuel, you will be unnecessarily burning the oil in the seafoam in your engine. PLEASE try lucas or a better brand of upper cylinder cleaner and you will be much happier with the results 😊
Fuel never reaches the valves. You're seafoam is only cleaning your fuel system in removing moisture. Complete waste of money on a direct-injected vehicle. Your car is probably carboned up really really really really bad.
Outstanding and impressive work, indeed a very nice job and excellent presentation, where I come from we used to warm up the engine, take about one quart of water dump it slowly into the intake system while holding the throttle running above idle until running out of water then put a little marble mistery oil, to lubricate the whole intake system, remove the spark plugs, inspect for carbon in the cylinders, guarantee a quicker, cleaner cheaper way to clean for carbon deposit, but that was the old school. That was on carburated engines.
I'm America we put Lucas fuel injector and carburetor additive in with the gas. We change the oil, filter and air filter. Check tire pressure and rotate tires. Fill all fluids to the proper levels and call it a day. 😊
@@blazingverde cool, I have a Ram with almost 200k and a C6 with 233k. This kind of service should be done to any car that uses direct injection. I recently did it on my VW Touareg 2009 that has almost 240k miles and the car is running like new, pretty smooth. I also replaced the engine mounts, transmission mount and rear and front axle bushings.
As a mechanic we do this stuff everyday. No big deal. The big deal is that most people don't want to spend any money for any maintenance at all! Just a handful of people really do care about spending the right amount of money to properly take care of their car
How did he make a pistone crown so clean? I see he is using for this "PRO-TEC CARBON X K1+K2" but I was other movies and it is imposible to remove all the buildup just with it...
All because the crankcase ventilation goes into the intake manifold. An oil catch can would go some way to minimising the amount of carbon build up but not completely. Previous to direct injection most gasoline cars were port injected which washed the back of the intake valves and there was never much (if any) carbon build up.
I did my apprenticeship at Porsche many many years ago, then main dealers, then 2 garages myself,,,I always preferred dismantling engine's rather than putting them back together.

Installation of a catch can(to isolate oil vapor blow-by),adding Seafoam to the motor oil, and doing a Seafoam treatment every 10000 miles(every other oil change)will help,....but this type of buildup is inevitable with GDI engines. Someone should design a kit that puts an injector upstream of the intake manifold plenum (similar to a dry nitrous oxide system) that periodically introduces a fuel charge to help break down the oil carbon deposits on vehicles that didn't come with this type of system later.
I've had great results spraying crc intake and turbo cleaner into the throttle body at high idle. It Won't fix servere carbon build up, but it will keep it from becoming a problem if you start using it within the first couple years

@@raylamp4505 There is no fuel in the intake. This means there is no solvent that usually cleans in the intake valves.
