Two comments for you to consider: 1. most you tube reviewers (like you) are against piano black but consumers actually like it based on my anecdotal evidence. 2. bigger screen size isn't necessarily better. it's getting a little out of hand. some of us don't want an Escalade screen. Love your reviews!
It is all fun and games with Piano Black, until you drive the car 20,000+ miles with kids constantly in the car and you have to clean said piano black.
Piano black sucks. As soon as you clean it, and then open the door, it’s back dusty. Also Audi’s MMI setup loves fingerprints. Some touchscreens don’t show fingerprints as much, but these systems do. The older MMI systems (and interior) were so much better.
One reason we got the Q7 was for the somewhat unique size. 3rd row for kids or in a pinch, but executve level comfort in a slightly smaller suv (for lg suvs).
I don't think they can. Same thing with an "RSQ5". Heard it's something to do with Porsche already having the Macan and Cayenne (in certain trims), and some agreement the brands have with each other to not "step on each other's toes".
Honestly, get an X5 or X7 - this car is not only getting extremely outdated (MMI especially) but is also having many many problems with the drivetrain (48V mild hybrid system) which requires an expensive fix, no matter the milage.. not to mention that these cars come standard with a 4 CYLINDER for the same price as the X5 which has the B58.
The X5 is and X7 is new gen the Q5 and Q7 not new gen right now in 2025 they will possibly be ahead of X5 and X7. Audi been slow updating their lineup.
@Jazc-mp889 Glad you find it funny but it’s the truth. Audi’s have had numerous drivetrain issues as of late.. BMW with its B58 engine are pretty much rock solid
2026 Q7 will be next gen with new interior, tech and design Q6 inspire the car got minor refreshed for 2025 to stay competitive and bridge the cap before next generation
Hi Sofyan, it's your friendly local Audi sales gay here. The 2025 Q7s are on the ground NOW. However, the V6 is still under supply constraints. Hope this helps!
I have this same vehicle in white with a black out package. My only complaint is the small center console storage. Also the 3rd row is small and if used the rear storage space is small. We usually just keep the 3rd row down. With the 3rd row down the rear storage space is adequate. Overall I love this vehicle. I also have a new Tiguan Rline and having both of them, compliments each other. The Audi Q7 and is very comfortable for a long road trip, the Tiguan feels just as nice, it obviously has less power but it’s just as adequate for long trip and feels more nimble on long trips.
We love our ‘21 Q7 Prestige! And while this design is older, it’s still very classy and looks great in person. It’s just perfect for two retired executives who love Audi’s and want a good all round vehicle for everyday use. Plenty roomy, good performance and handling, comfortable, stylish, great heated (and cooled) massage seats, adequate cargo space, excellent sound system and manageable technology. We have not had a single problem with this vehicle of any kind. When Audi strikes a winning design, they stick with it and I don’t feel like I am driving an obsolete vehicle a year later. I looked at and test drove the competition before we bought and the Q7 was a far better vehicle overall.
I doubt they sell more than 20,000 units here in the states. 4000 so far (all trims). I just don’t see the value for what you’re paying. I’m sure it drives nice but that’s not enough. 3rd row is very tight. Go for it. Just not for me.
I used to want a SQ7, well not anymore the financial upkeep to maintain and major repairs are too expensive compared to a single turbo. A regular 2018 Q7 w/o HUD and air ride plus a stage 1 91 OR 93 octane tune and upgraded intercoolers is more than enough. Any 4M Q7 with the touchscreen controls fair better in reliability than the newer to present models. The only good thing so far I've seen from the 2025 model year, are actual visibile exhaust ports/tips
It was competitive back then especially industry first car in segment to have fully digital virtual cockpit, predictive efficiency, traffic jam assist, all wheel steering system, exit warning, turn assist was ahead of competitor. Audi was first do digital thing and some advanced safety feature but competitor caught up later especially 2019-2024 model year throughout model range. Audi hasn’t really innovated past 5 years but they have new models 2025-2028 they get ahead right now playing catch up give them time.
As you mentioned earlier of the powertrains the 2.0L is too freakin small for the size of the Q7 it’s gonna be lame despite being turbocharged but the 3.0L Turbo V6+ 48 volt mild hybrid is good and if you want more muscle then the SQ7 with the TT V8 is just as good
Audi does one of the best interiors ,,,not a fan of the new huge tablet style center screens , don't get it . They stick out and do not flow ,, look out of place.. Very elegant interior , great materials .
I honestly dont know what you have against maserati? They have the grecale, ghibli, granturismo that have all bern updated and are competing in this market yet you dont review them? Why?
Rumor has it Audi is developing a Q9, which will rivals the BMW X7 and Mercedes GLS. Cant wait for that, Audi fit my personality of a younger, more youthful compared to the x7 and gls
The current Q7 is 9 year old now went on sale in mid 2015 in Europe and 2016 for global debut got facelift for 2020 model year and another one for 2025 mostly exterior and minor interior. The Q7 will be new gen for 2026 model all new.
The 2025 refresh appears disappointing. The prior Q7 refresh really seemed like a “lipstick on a pig” back then, so I don’t know why they would not take this chance to fix it. A ground up redesign could put it within the territory of the X7 and GLS.
The Q7 is not next generation till 2026 model year which is 12-14 months away got delayed by one year but the 2025 minor refresh was to bridge the gap before next gen and stay competitive for year.
It’s okay… I’m wanting Audi to get a bit more innovative the next go round. I own an A4 and while I can see the design language being evolutionary, it’s been a bit stale when comparing it to BMW.
I'm starting to believe that the large grille trend all along has been the lazy equivalent of automotive design. The larger the grille, the less styling design ideas needed to complete the front of the vehicle. Same with every manufacturer slapping "piano black" trim in everything.
Dude wants every imaginable option available to review he does this for all of the cars he reviews who is going to get that? I get it he is doing it to show what is available but the average car buyer might not get all the options
Audis look so boring...the best looking luxury sedans were definitely the mercedes from 2016. Oh and the Lexus IS in the higher trims. Everything else now just got ugly or just okay
Audi have new designer from Jaguar and Land Rover so I think design will look more interesting in coming years. Audi have nice interiors I think best fit and finish out of luxury cars it is impressive but not as flashy Mercedes though.
@@RonsmooveTI Mercedes has the best interiors. Lexus and BMW are becoming tied for the worst. Disagree with the piano Black part. But definitely don’t see a huge screen as a bonus
Anecdotally and statistically, piano black sucks big time. It collects dust, fingerprints and scratches/swirls easily if you clean it.
100 %Agree with screen size , not with piano black !
