Ford ka 2003 doesn't seem to even have a water temperature gauge only realised there was a problem when losing power upon acceleration and slight engine rattle luckily I seemed to have noticed in time, how stupid can you get not fitting a temperature gauge in this modern age?
Thermostat, on early mk3's it is also controlled by the e.c.u. I have a 2005 2.0 which uses a standard thermostat. The almost always stick open when they fail.
Dani Santos it's at the front. If it has a plug attached to it then it's a 98°C thermostat. If it's a standard one then it's 92°C I made a mistake of thinking that there was only one type of thermostat for this vehicle and fitted the wrong one, hence that's why the fan was on all the time!
Dani Santos yep the stat is built into the housing. And comes as one unit unlike the old ones on older mondeos with the metal housing with a separate thermostat.
Not all have board computer early this year i bought one with 2001 mk3 1.8 and it didnt have bc, very strange feeling and its really stupid because you cant see your fuel consumption and fuel left in tank only temperatures.../

Ti modeli imajo napako, ker se voda iz kabine ne vrača v motor ampak kroži preko hladilnika čeprav je termostat zaprt. Voda iz kabine naj bi krožila samo preko motorja.
Zarko pozdrav, jel mi mozes reci o kom termostatu tacno je rec tj na kojoj poziciji, i mene zeza nesto ler gasi, veliki broj obrtaja i povremeno varira, menjao sam senzor ler gasa i motor ler gasa ali nista nije pomoglo, ne znam sta da radim vise. Hvala

It shows when thermostate is broken engine temeperature drops if a/c is on as shown ... replace bad thermostate and problem fixed on duratec engines theromstates are same
Thermostate was changed after making of this video which i posted to get help by guys who had one. Thermostate was stuck open so it disnt have operating temperature while driving when out was 15° or below Cels, fittes one from 1.8 breaker and works like a charm

Simon John Hinton is it the "oil cooler" thermostat that is at the front of the engine or one on the side of the gearbox?

Finally fixed, thermostat was stuck open, normal engine temperature and heating now work

Left stick thats for the turn signals, it has a button at the end. Just press it couple of times until the display shows l\100km

Moj focus 2009 tdci ima isto težavo pa testerji in stroka ne najde napake

acasm da, kupio sam polovan 10e,cijena novog je 198km ili 100e okruglo na par mjesta gledao ista cijena

Solved my arse, the parameters for these sensors are not so easily rectified by a simple adjustment . Diagnose Properly .
