- Pretty much any truck that's clean isn't long for this world once it arrives to Michigan. Whether I keep it or not, I figured it would be valuable to treat some of the known areas that rust out on my 2009 Sierra 2500 HD that I brought back from Tennessee. I begin with washing/rinsing out the areas in preparation to spray them with AmsOil Metal Protector HD. I've used the product on a previous truck and it held up awesome for 3 years! I also show an attachment that works great to get into the rocker panels and testing out a pressure washer attachment that helps flush out salt and road grime from underneath the truck.

Your popcorn vid on Facebook 😂😂😂😂
Rich !!!! Hey brother gotta say you’re so cool almost wish you were my wife’s boyfriend 😂. Rich if you can share your reasoning on leaving SxS blogs. If you can consider a small vid doesn’t gotta be in detail. But just so me or the people don’t invest their time and help the success of people who don’t deserve it. Tired of not so good people still winning in life by us not knowing the truth about them and still watching their content putting money in peoples pockets to RUclipsrs that are not good people behind the scenes. Only the good should succeed. Just saying brother, take care hope you consider to make a video kinda feel like it’s fair for the supporters to know. But hey it’s a free country thankfully 🇺🇸
Dude I almost fell off my chair when I showed the MP spray. I use that also in all those areas. I put it on some rust on my snowblower in 2002 and it has not migrated to this day. I put half on one side of a rotor and left the other side untreated and put in the garden weed for two years. Picked it out and used mineral spirits to wipe the film of and it was like a new rotor. Other side was all rust. That's good stuff right there.
Thank you Rick - this is was something i was going to look into. Rock on
Cavity wax from 3M works good as well I actually picked up a used 2017 GMC Denali L5P last June that was neglected for the start of its life I painted the entire chassis and did the cavity wax just like you did …. These trucks are not cheap 💵💵💵🇺🇸💪🏼🦅
Probably gonna buy this stuff for my 2 1999 camrys. They're getting a little crusty but sprayed both of them under carriage today.
Rick, that truck is Clean, man. I thought my old truck was in good shape. I had a 06 Ram 3500 cummins i just traded in for my new tuck. Paid 32K for it back in 09, Put 250,000kms on it up here on the salty Nova Scotia roads, and was offered $20,000 plus tax savings 15 years later... can't argue with that. Did what you did there. clean it real good after every winter and oil undercoated it every year.
All ya need is a quick media blaster from harbor freight and some spray can POR-15. Did my dually cheap for that. Works perfectly.
for the cab holes I use a wand made by camco that's for cleaning out rv hot water heaters.
I found a good way I brought home a truck from the south and park it every winter lol ZERO rust
I sprayed Fluid Film inside my bed, I should do the other areas like the rockers.
Great stuff Rich. Awesome tips. Would love it if you did a tranny fluid change vid. Lot of different opinions out there. RR baby!
Look forward to meeting you at Cross Bar. Missed you the last two times.
Rich, an 8 inch lift makes it a lot easier to keep the underneath clean 😎👍
Check out crc marine heavy duty corrosion inhibitor. I used to use amsoil, now i use crc. I cant tell the difference between the 2.
Clean truck.
Rich rules, baby! Love the channel and content. Peace
Did you coat the inside of the frame and box supports too? I love that stuff too. Fluid film also great, but definitely messier and not as clean looking.
