Very, very, cool! Turned out perfect, my friend! I remember having this figure as a child and mine was missing the cape too, as I got it second hand. Before I got a Jack Nicholson Joker figure, I always used him as The Joker with my Kenner Michael Keaton Batman figure. Lol. Good times.
Another Amazing Job, Dave!!👏👏👏 I absolutely love all the repairs you have done for this line. It really takes me back to being a kid eating Count Chocula cereal and watching Saturday morning cartoons. Thank you for another trip down Memory Lane🙏
I think the brooch you made looks damn near identical to the original. Between the brooch and cape, Dracula never looked so good! You did a fantastic job recreating both items and boy what a difference it makes on the figure!
That looks amazing for sculpting that clasp. It took me forever to get my dracula in good shape with cape but it's a nice figure when you have everything on display. Keep up the great work. These fixes inspire alot of people .
Awesome job, Dave! I’ve been meaning to post a similar video, but my methods include carving out a padded vest and fabricating a backwards baseball cap. Squeeze Drac’s legs together and he’s clearly an umpire declaring a runner safe .. or perhaps scratching air turntables depending on the mood!
Wow. So many great fixes here. The brooch is particularly impressive but you really gave this figure a 180' makeover! Curious if you've ever considered doing before & after shots on your videos? I've noticed a lot of restoration videos start and end with the item on a 360' turntable to show either what's coming (a good teaser) or a reminder of how far the finished toy has come. It may be a good way to showcase your transformations! Anyway, great video as always!
Pretty neat your handmade clasp reprodution. In case you manage to get an original one later, you could use it to try and record some resin casting attempts, seeing how the end product would end up. I'm not sure what's your stance on this method, though. Despite that, great restoration as always!
If I had access to one it would certainly be a good way to make it. I assumed that most people wouldn't so it was better to show how to make it completely from scratch.
@@toypolloi Yeah, makes sense for me with the idea of simple, cheap and easy DIYs, since they tend to give very satisfactory results. Also, still have to consider how costly would it be (even for UK pricing standards) buying the right resin and silicone molding just to end up making few parts and ending up with a lot of leftover materials. Probably the financial return would compensate more for those who can sell repro parts by lots and demands. Depending of the conditions, maybe this would end up necessary in some works, who knows...
@@larrychilders6599 This may vary on which version of the story is being told. For example, in the 2014 movie "I, Frankenstein", the monster ends up being named "Adam", which ends up very fitting on the concept due to the religious analogy it brings up., as Victor, the doctor, becames itself a metaphorical "God" for giving life for his first creature, which is "Adam" Frankenstein.
I've just bought one on vinted for a pound but the collar is broken on the right side how would you go about fixing it? dave or anyone got any suggestions
Although I loved the Real Ghostbuster cartoon, as well as the kenner ghostbusters themselves. I was never impressed by any of the ghosts themselves.. Including this classic monster wave... Wished they would have made ghosts we saw in the cartoon...
Generally, yes i agree. Exception being the likes of Fearsome Flush, Bad to the Bone, Granny Ghost the eyeball poping one. they are so great its a shame we never saw them in the show. i also loved these Legally differnt, yet clearly Universal Monsters. Bela Lugosi Dracula winking at us. Whats not to love? Frankenstein is a little too goofy yes, but wearwolf and mummy where creepy enough. Hunchback made for a sympathetic slave or cursed standin to transform into Wolfman. I just wish we got a Witch or Warlock... And the zombie sucked. Should have made a reptilian or amphibious thing ala Mer-Man but probally played it safe from a legal standpoint as to not violate Lagoon/Creature trademark & copywrite.
I had this toy 30 years ago. I loved Ghostbusters as a kid. You did a great job.
Without the cape it looks more like the ghost of Prince so the new cape was a must. Excellent job as always.
@@WesTheHunter 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha 😂 Cape-less Dracula really does look like Prince!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I love that you're going through this line. So many helpful repairs for me and my pals! TYSM
I love watching your fixes! It looks awesome!
Thank you very much!
@@toypolloi actually, thank you. You have given me so many great ideas!
Another fantastic restoration video from Toy Polloi, that brings a vintage toy back to life.
Glad you enjoyed it
love the ghostbuster figures restoration. I hope there more.
Picked up one of these guys today and immediately did this. Thanks so much!
These are so amazingly helpful!
Thank you. I'm glad you find them useful 👍

These Ghostbusters monsters would look fun to collect. Hope I can find some at a boot sale or charity shop.

Nice Resto. Your next one should be the Firehouse Headquarters. I would love to see that!
Looks fantastic Dave, excellent video. 🧛♂️
Fantastic job
Amazing work as always!
Wonderful work, Dave! That clasp/amulet turned out so well!
Nice bit of sculpting.

Looks great! Good job!
amazing work.
Vintage real ghostbusters Dracula cape and chasp
Great show Dave!
Good job, Sir!
Usually the wax sculpts were as large as 30 cm so to recreate the clasp's details at that scale is quite impressive
Awesome work Dave. I’m definitely doing this repair!
Beautiful work on the clasp sculpting, Dave.
Another great cape added to your extensive tailored cape collection.🦇
Thanks. I do like making capes!

It's not a toy line I collect currently.

If you didn't know Frankenstein is the doctor And the one that you call Frankenstein is called the monster
And there is that moment you realize Frankenstein was the real monster...
And the monster adopted the doctor's name so they are both Victor Frankenstein

That awkward silence when your waiting for the toy polloi music to begin as he fixes and makes things..

Feel free to drop me a DM on any of my socials with photos of what's broken and I'll see if I can help. Cheers
I will when it arrives in the post thanks dave
I screenshot the pics off vinted for now
"It's not perfect, but it will do the job" This needs to go on a shirt.
Could be much catch phrase 😎👍🤔
You can tell it's meant to be Bela Lugosi but it sort of looks like Walter Matthau.
Think a 3D printer will ever be an option for you?
It would make for very boring videos.
Hello could we get a scare glow cape video please
If I had that figure, I would make a cape for him. I'm still hunting. Cheers
Why is the music so loud?
Stick out stomach, is blood fattening🤔
Or-
No cape? No accessories? Talent is kinda lacking?
Get him a proper piano-
