Amber, You are the person who inspired me to take the step towards van life. I am a 55 yr old single female with a dog so I feel like you are very relatable. I completely enjoy all of your videos as they tell the real life experience. I know you have a strong background in believing that the world is still working in your favor even when it throws you some weird situations. In the end those weird situations are teaching moments on where you should be heading. You are strong, you are resilient, you are able to see the direction life is taking you. Keep taking time to rest. Sending you and adorable Lilly positive support. Stay positive you’ve got this. Hope to run into you one day out on the road.
You have done amazing work. You actually were one of the reasons I had the guts to travel across the US in my travel trailer after covid. Well a big loyal smart dog also helped, but you get the point. So never underestimate the impact you had on peoples lives. If I told anyone outside my network what I experienced in the last two years what I went through, people would seriously think I was nuts. You're a tough , resourceful smart lady with a mean excel workbook. Be proud and put those boots on and move forward with pride. : )
I’m crying with you. I can’t imagine going through all of that, losing your friend in such a horrific way, getting cheated by a car dealer and your precious Lily getting sick.
You are such a genuine person and deserve all the happiness in the world. I’m truly sorry for all you’ve been going through and pray for peace and healing for you and Lily.
My heart hurts for you on the loss of your friend. I hope the horrible person who did this is brought to justice. I'm amazed at your resilience and tenacity, always seeking a solution, never giving up. You might see giving in to your sadness, frustration, and weariness at times as being weak, but we see otherwise. Just because you say you want to show us your strengths and portray van life as exceptional, we understand that life happens no matter where and how you live. I am SO VERY HAPPY that our sweet Lily also showed us how strong she is and is doing much better. You're going through it, woman. Amber, I am so sorry you’ve had such a rough time lately! So glad sweet Lilly is okay now! I started crying when you started talking about her because I was afraid she wasn’t here anymore. I almost lost my Daisy a few mths ago. She fell off the bed & hit her head. She immediately started having a seizure. She survived but it was a scary time. I know you were terrified! Daisy suffers from pancreatitis too. She has a flare up once or twice a year. Words cannot express how sorry I am about your best friend & her husband with their dogs! Can’t imagine everything you’ve been going through! Glad you had good friends to be there for you! I remember that Born Free video. Didn’t you meet Cathy at the Cracker Barrel in Savannah? Stinks about Carvana! I’m ready to buy a new car but so hate the thought of even going to talk to a sales person! The majority of them probably pull the ole bait & switch! Good luck when you start looking again for your new home! Hugs to you & sweet Lily! Please remember that you have tons of subscribers that love you & sweet Lily! ❤

My sister and her husband have bought from car max for years and a few cars. They have always had a favorable, honest and straight up good experience with them. They will buy from them again. When it comes time for me to get a new car I will use them too
I think all that would of still happened had you been living in a home. At least you could travel to cooler climates and meet angels on earth while on the road. Had you been living in a house.. trust me, you would of curled up under a table with no one to talk to or an ocean to sooth and distract you. Incase your vet hasn't told you.. make sure that whatever food or treats you give Lilly has less than 10% crude fat. My dog had the same problem for a while, until I changed her food. She was lilly too, a pomchi. She passed 3 weeks ago from cushing's disease 😪 my heart still aches. Keep well, keep safe and don't feel bad if you cry.... you need to release. Loads of love, Norma from Australia ♥️
Dear Amber, hang in there. I know it will be hard but the new car to pull the new trailer will be such a new chapter. My thoughts and Prayers to you and your Best Friend. You gave me hope through Covid and being locked down at home. I finally left.....your adventures kept me going and knowing there is light at the end of a long tunnel. You got this.....
Amber, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend and it sounds as though you have had a rough time of late, but I am at least so relieved to hear that your lovely little doggy has made a great recovery. Despite how many times you have been knocked down you always dust yourself off and get back up again because you are one of life's fighters. It is clear from your vlogs that you are a good person, and I believe that good things come to good people (sometimes it takes time so hang in there).
Enjoyed your stories. We all have rough tines. That's when the tough keep going. You'll be glad to still have your van! Towing trailers aren't better. Stay strong! Some days suck. Slow down & enjoy all the scenery. Smell the flowers 💐
Amber, you have had quite a month! So glad Lily recovered! Sit by the ocean and just breathe! On another note, we have used Carvana to both sell a car and buy a car with absolutely no problems. They have a seven day no questions return policy. I believe in this case, someone made an error in the write up. Whenever you purchase used vehicles, the first drive should be to a reputable mechanic for a full check up. The mechanic would have immediately told you it was not all wheel drive and you could have returned it. Mistakes were definitely made by them, but probably compounded by you immediately leaving the area.
I just picked up your video and was so engrossed in your story. I’m so sorry for your loss of your dear friend Cathy, prayers for your healing. Don’t give up. I’m going to keep up with your travels. 🙏🙏
Sorry about all the things going on, remember to pray over everything absolutely everything. Glad you had such great people helping you. God bless and good luck
Oh, Amber, I’m so sorry to hear about your childhood friend. So, so sad! And poor Lily! I hope she gets back to her sweet self real soon. I know what it’s like to have a sick fur baby, especially since they can’t tell you what’s going on with them😢 Speaking of the extreme temps this summer, I feel so bad for the folks out west that are experiencing this extremely hot summer and drought conditions. And yet other states like Kentucky are experiencing tragic flooding. I’m praying that the weather will even out a little bit and the temps come down and the rains come soon for the dry parts of the country🙏🏼🙏🏼
I’m so sorry about your friend and her family. I can’t imagine dealing with something like that and then for Lily to get so sick. The ocean is so healing. Glad you are set up there for a while just to take some time to rest. ❤️
So deeply sorry for the loss of your friend, her husband and the dogs. Sending love and wishes for comfort. You are clearly a courageous adventurer and you inspired this fan! Love your little doggy and glad they recovered well. 🥰
Hi Amber i'm new to your channel.I'm sorry for all the mishaps you and Lilly are going through and the lost of your friend. Your not alone as alot of people are going through problems in daily life. Sometimes when your overwhelmed with issues in life. You just need to relax and breathe and get your focus back. Your doing the most exciting adventure traveling around in your van and seeing new areas which most people would love to do but can't. Keep your chin up as the old saying is that there's always light at the end of the tunnel. Stay safe and stay focus as you and Lilly will get through this. Enjoy your post.
Sending you love - I can relate as I am learning how to find joy again after coming off the worst year and a bit of my life. You are strong and its ok to cry and be emotional. Helps us to face the pain to heal. With Lilly, I had a schnauzer who had the same thing. Random bouts of pancreatitis. Could never pinpoint the cause. Almost lost him many times. After a middle of the night emergency visit to save my boy, the vet figured out it was the protein intake. I switched to the lowest protein food I could find which was an Iams food. Fed him 3x a day - smaller amounts helped him process easily the protein. His bouts stopped! We had been through probably 6 or 7 vets from my regular vet to many emergency vets. Learn how to give subq fluids too. You can travel w a bag and some needles to give her fluids if needed. Its super easy. You are stronger than you think. Sending you both love and healing energy.
So sorry Amber for the loss of your friend & her family. 🙏🏻 I’m so happy that Lily is feeling better, and please no need to apologize for showing your emotions. We as viewers are part of your life & we appreciate you sharing it with us. I lift you up in prayer Amber & Lily and I ask the Lord to comfort you always and give you peace. Trust in Lord with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding, trust His will in all you do & He will lead you down the right path. Proverbs 3:5. God Bless you 🙏🏻🇺🇸
I'm so sorry for all you've been through I just had a big breakdown with my kids today and gave them both the big what for!! The energies and life we deal with today are so compounding that you just finally lose it. I'm glad Lily is doing okay our fur babies are the most comforting in these times!!
Hey kid, you really have been through it. I am so truly sorry for your loss and I agree with you that when we are struggling the people we need seem to show up for us. Please take care of yourself.
I don't usually comment on your videos. Thank you for telling and sharing the not so good times. It is important so people understand life is not all rainbows and poney rides. Good on you not going through with the vehicle purchase. You would not have been happy with it as a towing vehicle. Our trailer is still missing, but the frount wheel drive we towed it with could not even handle a 1200 pound trailer for distances. Every setup has pros and cons. We are only part time and I prefer way less than my husband. The full sized van is his favorite, but mine is the 2009 Jeep Patriot, a tent and the Chuck Box Camp Kitchen. You can't beat the stealth of the Jeep in town. Everyone knows there is someone sleeping in the van. I hope you are healing from your loss and Lilly stays well. Thank you again for taking us along on your life journey. Safe travels.
Many hugs -- thanks for being so vulnerable -- but I think that is why you have such supportive friends -- many hugs -- you are honest, but it is perfectly ok not to share when you don't feel comfortable doing so. Travel and losing friends (especially in such a horrific way) -- can be devastating and difficult for anyone. But your kindness and care show through and it comes back to you. Best lesson I have learned in life. Best wishes for the future.
You have truly been through a lot! I’m so sorry for the loss of your friend. Sending positive energy for Lily and that you can stay cool for the rest of this hot summer.

Guess this happened to me and I knew the guy had sleeze written all over him.(broker not carvana) only in.my scenario I might have paid more but the van I was gonna buy had a huge crack over the entire windshield, was older, had a major oil leak and no cruisr control or backup camera. Even if I paid more I ended up with a bigger vehicle, clean windshield, backup camera, cruise control and only a year old with 15,000 miles on it. Been good so far.👍 Sorry for your loss. How horrible!! There are a lot of Dog food recalls I don't think people are aware of. I get an email news letter every time a new recall alert comes into this website. I wish I knew now what it was to pass the info along. But I'm sure with google research you can find it.
Amber, first off, my condolences to you and your friend’s family. Such a tragic and sad ending to their life. I’m so glad you’re reaching out to people that can help you with grieving the loss as well as all the changes happening in your life at this time. Don’t give up! I absolutely adore this channel and your travels however, I adore your heart and positive outlook even more. Seattle has been super hot. I want to acknowledge you for standing up at the dealership and not letting the talk you into buying a car even if it wasn’t what you wanted. You taught me a huge lesson here, and I thank you for that lesson. Sending you sweet hugs as you sort out next steps and healing your heart. There is no doubt all these things are happening for a reason and for lessons. Stay on your true path and in your loving heart.
I am so sorry for your pain. You have had more then your share. Please take it easy. Try not to let the "doubting Thomas's " get you down. May your luck change. The wind at your back and the road rise to meet you!

Oh my, I'm so sorry for your loss and your precious Lily being sick. I hope you turned your car into Carvana and got your money back. Prayers for you at this time for all you are going through
Wow, I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend, that's heartbreaking news. I'm glad Lilly is doing better! I met Tim and Kim at a campout last fall and Kim and I met up at a local Harvest Host Winery for a girls' trip - they are super nice people! I bought a car through Carvana back in 2018, it was a 1 yr old low mileage Nissan Leaf, the only issue I had was that its navigation and dash info system required a specific sim card that comes with the car and for some reason, it had been removed (not having it affects the data you get about the car) it's actually coded to the vehicle - so I had to force them to cover the cost of getting it replaced. Thankfully they did. I've also sold cars to them, when my parents could no longer drive it was easier to sell to them. When we bought a new car we actually got a better offer on our old one than we did from the dealer. I also sold the Leaf back to them and the money I got for it went towards my van. However, I have been seeing more and more stories of issues with cars they are selling and some states even having to intervene. Not sure if they grew too fast and are getting sloppy or if they have always been like this and it's catching up to them. It's too bad, conceptually it's a better way of buying a car than dealing with car dealers, but it really requires that the company be honest in every aspect of the business and sadly that doesn't seem to be the case.
Theresa Fernandez - Beyond the Fern 😊 wow Kim & Tim really get around lol!!! They are amazing. Thanks for the feedback on Carvana. That helps to know going forward. I love their business model and for me traveling full-time, it's great that they will register the car for you in your home state even if you weren't in that state to purchase it.
@Bob Mirror. Why does that scream fool? It’s just a fun marketing thing to set them apart from others. I don’t think a glass elevator and intelligence have anything to do with each other.

Life happens to all of us! Here’s to it getting better!
My deepest and sincere condolences on the loss of your friend. I’m so glad to hear that Lily is feeling better. Please stay safe.
I am so sorry for your loss. It is painful to lose someone so close and horrible circumstances such as you describe make the loss even more painful.
Your doggie was reflecting your sadness. I am sorry you went through so much.
I’m crying with you. I can’t imagine going through all of that, losing your friend in such a horrific way, getting cheated by a car dealer and your precious Lily getting sick.
Boston Terrier Mom aka Sandy Sorry to make you cry.
the beach is so calming, I don't live near an ocean but I'd love one day to walk on a beach and sit and watch the waves
You are such a genuine person and deserve all the happiness in the world. I’m truly sorry for all you’ve been going through and pray for peace and healing for you and Lily.
Peace be with you in the light, the dark, and all the spaces between. 💗
Take care of yourself, and Lily, and we will be here for you in whatever way we can. I'll be praying for you for strength and for God's protection over your heart and life. 🙏💞💖🛐❣🚐🅱️🆒️🤞🏖🏝🏞🏕
Amber take care , life can throw a lot of challenging circumstances that can tip us of balance, you continue to show that resolute spirit, turn your head to the wind and keep going. From the land down under!!
Never apologize for sharing your emotions. I loved this video. Good luck to Lily!
You are one tough lady! Don't stop searching, you will find your peace soon!
What a crazy hard month! I’m so sorry about your friend and her family, and so thankful for the friends that came alongside you with the support you needed.
Oh sweetpea I'm sorry for this incredibly horrible grief. No one deserves to lose people so loved. Its tough going through life with its many roller coasters. You WILL get through this. Take care of your heart and soul. Its precious.
First-time visitor. Love your honesty. Transitions are always so difficult, but if you wait them out they always lead to a better place if you have a positive attitude and you obviously do!
How did I never come across your channel before! So sorry the loss of your dear friends but a blessing you still have your wonderful dog to be with you.
I absolutely love you and Lily!! I'm so sorry to hear about your friend and her family. I'm glad Lily is feeling better and that you are at one of your happy places...by the ocean. Your soul needed it. I know that rolling with the punches becomings a bit much but you my dear, handle them with grace and it encourages all of us. Keep chasing stories even when there's a plot twist. Much love and many blessings to Amber. God bless!
So sorry for your loss. Prayers and condolences. Better days ahead
Sandra P 😊 oh no poor Daisy!!!! Is she okay now? I'm sure you were traumatized by that. No I met Kathy near Bluffton, SC at the Cracker Barrel. lol
@@storychasing yes Daisy is okay now! I knew it was one of the Cracker Barrels near me. The one in Bluffton is the one that Daisy & I go to for their grilled chicken tenderloins. lol
My sister and her husband have bought from car max for years and a few cars. They have always had a favorable, honest and straight up good experience with them. They will buy from them again. When it comes time for me to get a new car I will use them too
I’m so very sorry for your loss, Sweet Pea!!
So pleased to hear that Lily recovered. Hugs to you both.
Omg! My heart aches for you. Prayers for you and your friend’s family.
They do not have a good reputation.
I just picked up your video and was so engrossed in your story. I’m so sorry for your loss of your dear friend Cathy, prayers for your healing. Don’t give up. I’m going to keep up with your travels. 🙏🙏
Thank you for being so vulnerable. Blessings to you and Lilly as you continue your adventures.
Sorry about all the things going on, remember to pray over everything absolutely everything. Glad you had such great people helping you. God bless and good luck
Amber my deepest condolences for your friend, and I’m glad that lily is feeling better. I send you a big hug and a lots and lots of blessings.
Lestina Matu Thank you very much! 😊🙏
I’m so sorry on the loss of your friend but happy that Lilly is doing better. Enjoy the feeling effects of the waves. I often go there to heal.
Oh, Amber, I’m so sorry to hear about your childhood friend. So, so sad! And poor Lily! I hope she gets back to her sweet self real soon. I know what it’s like to have a sick fur baby, especially since they can’t tell you what’s going on with them😢
Speaking of the extreme temps this summer, I feel so bad for the folks out west that are experiencing this extremely hot summer and drought conditions. And yet other states like Kentucky are experiencing tragic flooding. I’m praying that the weather will even out a little bit and the temps come down and the rains come soon for the dry parts of the country🙏🏼🙏🏼
May you be safe.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you live with ease.
💙
I’m so sorry about your friend and her family. I can’t imagine dealing with something like that and then for Lily to get so sick. The ocean is so healing. Glad you are set up there for a while just to take some time to rest. ❤️
Your in my prayers my traveling friend 🙏 ❤️
I'm sorry for your lost. I'll pray for you 🙏... stay strong. Hope you're baby be okay.
So deeply sorry for the loss of your friend, her husband and the dogs. Sending love and wishes for comfort. You are clearly a courageous adventurer and you inspired this fan! Love your little doggy and glad they recovered well. 🥰
You have been through so much. Just take it easy, grieve and heal. My prayers are with you.
Oh my goodness. Bless your sweet heart ❤. How you got thru all that is a miracle 🙏. You are being prayed 🙏 for.
Omg! What a crazy month…I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. And glad to see Lilly is feeling better.
I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. ❤
So sorry about your friend !!!! I hope you are just left with your lovely memories of them.
God Bless you 🙏🏻🇺🇸
Julie Stoulig Thank you very much! 😊🙏
Amen Sister🙏❤️✝️
a wonderful scripture. so comforting.
Deepest condolences. So very sry for your great loss.
I'm so sorry for all you've been through I just had a big breakdown with my kids today and gave them both the big what for!! The energies and life we deal with today are so compounding that you just finally lose it. I'm glad Lily is doing okay our fur babies are the most comforting in these times!!
Amber I am so sorry for these weeks. I am praying for you.i luv Lilly too.
Hey kid, you really have been through it. I am so truly sorry for your loss and I agree with you that when we are struggling the people we need seem to show up for us. Please take care of yourself.
Kathy Eaton Thank you very much! 😊🙏 hehehe "kid".
Safe travels.
thanks for the update Amber. praying for clarity, wisdom and healing for your body.
David Thank you very much! 😊🙏
@@storychasing did you figure out what was wrong with your cassette toilet?
nope. I'm in the process of buying another new cassette to see if that will fix it.
Oh my goodness I'm missed a lot. I really need to purge some subscriptions as I'm missing some of my favorite channels like yours. As hard as things get we can always count on you to soldier through. We all love you and share your pain. I know there will be joyful days to come.
wow! So sorry for your hard times, especially the loss of your friends. Very glad that Lilly is better and that you had some friends along the way! Praying for you and Lily to have better times ahead ❤️🩹
juliana chandler Thank you very much! 😊🙏
Rest In Peace, Angela and family. I’m so sorry, Amber.
I'm so glad you have landed where you want to be. Restoring your strength . Hope you have an enjoyable stay there after everything that you have been through. So happy to see Lily back to health and I am so sorry for the loss of your friend.God bless and safe travels.
Been good so far.👍
Sorry for your loss. How horrible!!
There are a lot of Dog food recalls I don't think people are aware of. I get an email news letter every time a new recall alert comes into this website. I wish I knew now what it was to pass the info along. But I'm sure with google research you can find it.
Bless your heart honey! Glad everything worked out and so very happy your little pup is looking so much better!
Thank you so much!
So sorry for your loss try to remember the good times you had together and not this awful thing that is happened safe journeys, God Bless
I just got back home from Montana, and the weather is oddly hot. Glad you’re by the seaside and getting fresh air in California. I’m glad to hear Lily is much better.
Sadie Laurenti Whitley Thank you. That's very kind of you to comment.
I am so sorry for your pain. You have had more then your share. Please take it easy. Try not to let the "doubting Thomas's " get you down. May your luck change. The wind at your back and the road rise to meet you!
This was a beautiful heart felt video. A tough time with scare of Lilly and your own health issue. So glad you both are now well.
Love hearing about your adventures. They sometimes make me cry. But I am extremely empathic. 😉
Oh my word, you poor thing. My heart goes out to you. I hope that love and blessings surround you during this test of life. I can only wish that you’ve some how started to move on and attempt normalcy. Remember we’re here for you too!! Love ya to the moon and back.
Jamie Kennison Thank you very much! 😊🙏
My goodness. They say when it rains it pours. But this too shall pass. Sending healthy happy vibes to you and your little pup from upstate ny
Omg Amber what a month! So glad you and Lily are in a better place now mentally and physically. So sorry to hear about your friend so difficult to get thru that-give that Lily girl lots of hugs & kisses
So sorry , to hear about your friends passing. There is way too much violence in big cities :(
Bless you and Lilly, and so so very sorry for your loss. I was thinking about you folks and hoping everything was ok. I hope you get to relax and restore and do some self care :)
You are a real sport for what you have been through you still seem to be pretty happy..I hope things get better for you!!!
Hang in there, Amber. Thank you for being transparent about the challenges of van life.
Painful…
I call the tough times… getting your lumps.
That paves the way for an amazing future.
Thanks for sharing. Hard to watch though.
Looking forward to the good times ahead!!
Blessings to you and your loved ones.💗🙏💗
Amber, I am so sorry to hear about the difficult time you've had over the last month! You have had to go through a LOT and continue to amaze all of us with your strength and with your grace. I am soo happy that Lily is okay. She is a little fighter! Never apologize for crying! I wish I was physically near you where I could give you a big hug! Sending you a huge one virtually, and lots of love and support from a distance 💕 Keep living your life with all it's beauty ♥️
So sorry for your sad events. I hope the road opens up to happier days. Take care, I really enjoy your channel
Oh my, I'm so sorry for your loss and your precious Lily being sick. I hope you turned your car into Carvana and got your money back. Prayers for you at this time for all you are going through
Kathleen Fantauzzi 😊 I never closed the deal with them. So I still left with the van.
@@storychasing good for you. Never go there again. I've heard horror stories about that place
SWEETEST DOGGIE GOD BLESS HER AND YOU
Wow, I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend, that's heartbreaking news.
To me the glass elevator SCREAMS, "You are a fool for purchasing anything here."
@Bob Mirror. Why does that scream fool? It’s just a fun marketing thing to set them apart from others. I don’t think a glass elevator and intelligence have anything to do with each other.
Many blessings as you endure and enjoy the challenges life presents. Sent with love and prayers
I can relate so much to this video. The past month has been a doozy for full time van life! I’m praying you have more ups than downs now. I hope our paths cross while you’re in California! Hang in there 🙏🏼
Travel Snacks Thank you very much! 😊🙏 Hit me up on email. You know where to find it. lol
Allison is a wonderful person like you. I am so glad you two connected. Life can just be plain hard no matter who you are or where you are coming from or going to. I am praying for you both. I love your channels and the real ladies that you are? God bless you both. Love from Oklahoma.
