I used to run passive HM Nighthawks for L4's exclusively and for L5's in low sec (really handy for Neuts). Back then it was the Ferox hull which I still prefer, now after 95 months out of game I have started running L4's tentatively as I noticed immediately one less launcher and the range nerfs which this ship never needed. The ship is definitely gimped compared to what it used to be but still handles most missions easily but noticeably slower with the old fits I used. CCP took an underused ship and made it even less desirable. That was made more obvious when I ran Evolution L4 and nearly got neuted out (I fitted a Multispectrum for Omni tank) slow boating through an oncoming fleet to get into range of the tower.

Tengu ... Just train into a Tengu and sleepwalk through every single L4 mission at a reaonable speed using Heavy Missiles. More expensive initially but you make the ISK back far faster than you'd expect.

I wish they reserved titles like "warlord" to capitol or other powerful npc ships. The average npc ship should named "x little/medium/big grunt". A frig can slap around most of them.

A big problem the Nighthawk has is that it is extremely skill intensive and is outcompeted by various ships that while more pricey are also less skill intensive.
And I want the Ferox hull back :(

you'd be much better off getting a Drake Navy Issue for that. Gives you the perks of selectable damage and better range at a fraction of the Nighthawk's price tag and skillpoint requirements, with negligibly less raw dps and of course worse tank. But of course that's just spreadsheet rambling, you should do whatever is the most fun to you! :)

lol i used to run lvl4a ina nighthawk for a few months(before they nerfed it to sheet). hams are useless! best lvl4 runner is a rail kronos.
