    Another idea would be little teams that try to board our ship and take it over. The boarding ships could be engaged by drones. Btw. I'm not sure why a one point there is no audio for some time (@18:45 I think) .

      Audio is probably a copyright thing, and the RUclips AI failed to remove it cleanly 😓😥

    Such a good looking hull, been looking for an excuse to train into it for ages.
    Not sure about your expected progression though - a newer player is probably buying the bs as they start their lvl 4’s and probably won’t have fitted large weapons at all beforehand meaning a good 3 weeks to fully train the weapon even with a good map and +4’s.

    • @CadePlaysGames
      @CadePlaysGames  Год назад

      I was thinking that because BS cost so much more these days, that by the time you'd saved up, you'd have T2 large guns done also 😅

  • @frofr9545
    @frofr9545 Год назад

    just a suggestion, you should use faction ammo for your fits, they have better ds but a bit more expensive that the t1 versions, but it pays for the dps.

    • @sbssmachine1
      @sbssmachine1 Год назад

      You can make your own t1 from reprocessing and use some lp to convert to faction too. Minimise the cost.

    • @CadePlaysGames
      @CadePlaysGames  Год назад

      Yeah faction ammo is usually what I use on my own fit, as MotoSimmo already said you can make Tech 1 ammo from melted down trash loot then upgrade it to faction in the LP store, so you're almost self sufficient in it.

    3 sentry drones would have been a small but welcome addition to your snipe damage...

      Yeah but then that's all the drone bay used up and I never feel comfortable without a flight of light drones on board for taking out any frigates that get under my guns...😧

    I recently acquired a Navy Megathron and just started L3 missions. I am a little confused about the fits for armor vs shield tank. All of the ones I've found and subsequent import to PYFA don't take advantage of the 100% Shield Extender with Megathron. Makes me wonder if I am misunderstanding what that means but I'm doing fine thus far with the 350s and shield extenders + the 100% bonus is 120. I'm taking out 30+ ships and with shield rechargers, I'm barely losing 20% of the shield tank. If I swap those out for armor repair I end up having to limp back to some random dock for repairs? I feel like I'm missing something when all of the fits on Eve Workbench and elsewhere tout armor over the shield and lose the 100% to shield hitpoints "Role Bonus." I just made Level 3 missions this week so I have a lot left to learn. More curious about this one because everyone lists it as an armored tank and completely ignores the 100% Shield Extender role bonus. If I go with the armor repairer and other options listed on this fit to PYFA and to my ship - I lose my shield and my armor and have to dock 2-3 times for repairs. Is there something about not using shields over the armor that I'm missing? If I use the shield option I am able to snip most of the ships when I load up on a long-range Warden Sentry (5). The Warden combined with long-range 425's allows me to get by with 1 Field Stabilizer and 1 Tracking Enhancer. Yet, all the videos and fits only use armor tanks. Just curious. I just started Level 3 missions and continue to read and research. Just seems as if a waste to not use the 100% Shield Extender Hitpoints Role vs 50% Armor one.

      @CadePlaysGames  Год назад +2

      Level 3 missions are easy enough to allow a passive shield Battleship to be fine: with the way shield regeneration works, the more hitpoints you add to the shield, the faster the shield regenerates.
      Battleships with tens of thousands of shield hitpoints not only have a regen rate equal to or better than a repair module but also have a huge buffer of raw hitpoints for the bad guys to chew on, giving you more time to reduce the incoming fire down to the point where the natural regen can keep pace.
      The difference will be more obvious in Level 4 missions, where the incoming fire is greater.
      Adding shield hitpoints with shield extenders will have a negative effect of making the ship's signature radius larger, meaning it will be taking larger hits from the enemy, and extenders can eat up a ton of powergrid, harming the rest of the fit.
      As with everything in EVE, it's complicated, situational and most of the time comes down to personal preference and play style. 😎

    Do you have like max skill in everything? Not sure how you're able to fit all different kinds of modules in all kinds of ships...

    • @CadePlaysGames
      @CadePlaysGames  Год назад +1

      Yeah I have max skills in fitting.
      You can save some PG/CPU by fitting "compact" versions of most module instead of the tech 2 gear I usually use.
      Or if that's still not enough, you can downgrade the guns to 350mm. A bit less range and a bit less DPS but they do have better tracking, which makes up a bit of lost ground when it comes to applied damage.😎

    Good to see you with lvl 4, I was wondering if there is lvl 5 security? what is the chances of megathorn if any?

    • @CadePlaysGames
      @CadePlaysGames  Год назад +1

      There are Level 5 security missions, all in Lowsec and not all of them are able to be done solo.
      Until the recent Marauder mega-buff, people would run L5 in Carriers.
      The Marauder OP mega buff of doom has allowed players to also use those ships, but they still have to carefully pick which missions they accept.

    I just followed this and am not able to bring that 7th Railgun or the Tacking 2 comp online. What are your skills at that are allowing you to bring all that online, or has the Meg CPU been nerfed?

    • @CadePlaysGames
      @CadePlaysGames  Год назад

      I just checked the fit and it still works for me, with 7.5 CPU to spare.
      I have pretty much max skills but no CPU implant, so this must be a skills thing.
      Energy Grid Upgrades reduces CPU need for the cap batteries and cap power relay.
      Weapons Upgrades reduces CPU need of the guns.
      Those are the only ones that would affect this fit (I think)😎

  • @oOBlackadderOo

    I realy like your general approach on fittig stuff but in this build I prefer a MWD as the middle ground between AB and MJD. Gets yourself mobility when you need it for the range you want it. Also this is me coming back to the game from 2013, so I might not have catched up on every meta change. But tbh: on the introduction of your vid I thought you will opt for an in-your-face autocannon build like the style of the hull sugessets.

    • @CadePlaysGames
      @CadePlaysGames  Год назад +4

      MJD have made sniper builds OP for L4 missions.
      MWD certainly do still play a role for both pulling range and approaching gates/loot.
      I may re-do this entire series at some point, with very different fittings and tactics on each hull, just to show that multiple playstyles are possible with almost any ship(!)😎

      @@CadePlaysGames Hey again mate, I've been comparing the specs of the 425mm Prototype Gauss Gun to the 425mm Railgun II, and specs-wise, the prototype is better, the only advantage of a T2 Railgun is you can load the expensive T2 ammunition and I don't think it's worth it for just mission runs, is there anything else I'm missing on why it's better to use T2 425mm Railgun for L4 missions? Also, I'm noticing on your other videos that you're activating your Reactive Armor Hardener even though you still have a 100% shield, may I know why?

    • @CadePlaysGames
      @CadePlaysGames  Год назад +1

      @@Edward-jk7vu Yes, the T2 guns will receive extra bonuses from the "large railgun specialization" skill, giving them an extra 2% damage per level.
      I turn on the reactive armor hardener and armor rep when the shield is till up because I'm super lazy and built fits to have more than enough capacitor to be able to run them all the time no matter what.
      If you want to micro-manage the cap a bit more then you can drop a capacitor module or two and replace them with damage or damage application modules.
      😎

    • @Edward-jk7vu
      @Edward-jk7vu Год назад +1

      Thank you again for replying. Well how about that, I didn't know there's a skill to increase the dps of T2 guns, so I searched them and queued them up.
      Hahaha, that's funny, I thought there's a deeper reason behind activating those modules in advance. Yeah I like to micro-manage a bit, so I'll probably replace the capacitor with damage modules. Thanks again! o7

      Sheer laziness on my part as I can't be bothered to buy faction ammo for these videos!😅
      You'll see that when I run L4s in a Vargur then it's always faction ammo. 😎
